Call shifts are no bueno. I'm currently in the process of setting up 1099 contracts with surgery centers to better control my schedule and no call/weekends/holidays. Maybe Kev can look into that once he finishes training.
Bolt you’re a sharp guy but saying a surgeon could get a contract similar to what a crna does is ridiculous. They are responsible for their patients post surgery for any complications that arise. I don’t know of any surgeon who doesn’t take call at some point throughout the year unless they aren’t working at all. The real crime is getting paid dog wages for all the hours of work during residency.

When I worked in the hospital lab, I had memorized some ext's, and whenever I'm in a hurry, or don't remember it I would call the operator, and request to be transferred. It's usually the same person on shift, and I would see them in the hallway, or during breaks, so I know who they are...LOL

Thoughts about couples getting together in the work force? My rule has always been NEVER date someone I’m working with. I’ve seen to many relationships fall apart due to the couples dating and working together.
Me too, but I broke my rule, but gladly he found anithwr job, but then we broke up because he moed to another city to study.
So I would think it could be nice to wirk like in the same place or buliding jut doing different stuff.
Like herr is the case that they work in the same hospital but doing diffrent task, having diffrent shifts. And I dint think they are like always together working for the same patient etc.
I’m being set up with someone, turns out she’s a doctor! Your videos sort of give me a perspective on what a doctor’s life is! Now I understand why she doesn’t reply my texts often 🥴
