I am not sure about the password but there an initial password that is emailed to you to verify your email. You may need to contact support I included their email in the video description
I thinks is best unit for the money period. If you want wireless 🛜 not Bluetooth for vci I would look at the d7w which I’m trying out right now but honestly the d7s is superb.
Do you have a list or know where can find a list of active bi-directional functions that will not work anymore after the yearly update expires? Specifically for monitoring O2 sensor voltages, transmission diagnostics, and testing sliding doors on a older 2005-2010 Odyssey. Thank you.
I don’t have a list but I included an email address to vendor so give them your vin and ask vin and ask for the list. You can also ask about function that will not work anymore if you don’t renew.
If you are using it for work and making money with it I would go with Autel, but a different Autel if for work. For diy home use, the Xtool is a much better value because of the 3 years of updates and it will still work after the updates expire in case you don’t renew. Nobody seems to do that the key especially an older vehicle, but thank you so much. I’m leaning that way too like you said three years out a lot and after that like 110 or whatever US update it that’s not bad if you don’t need it you can use all the features that’s even better so you don’t have to do it for two or three years and then can update it. My friend has the d7 and he's letting me use it cause the app for my A30M crashed and no it hasn't had a major update makeover. I just did all the updates 12 20 23.i don't see anything new or redesigned as of yet

Most excellent review of the D7S which is on my short list. Have you had a chance to try or learn about the wireless version of D7S, which is the D7W ? Apparently it does NOT use Bluetooth but rather some other wifi type connection which I am not familiar with. If you have any insight on this type of wirelessness I think your viewers might appreciate whatever you can tell. Also, if the D7S tablet was used for internet searching, does it include audio? I think some Autel models eliminate audio on their tablets. I would not want to watch a RANDOMFIX video without audio !!! Thanks
I haven’t tried the d7w but the d8s supports audio playback as I just texted and I think the d7s uses the small user interface as the d8s. If possible use the description links to support the channel and thank you again. Unless you are using it everyday day I suggest the wired version as for the reduced priced

Yeah sometimes the menus are a little tricky, I hope you got it figured out now. This unit comes with 3 years of support and you can also reach out to them.
He can’t decide for you you have to do it. You have to know what you wanna do with that scanner. If you’re going to just clear codes codes this is not for somebody just wants to clear the light out and go down the road. Just get your code reader, because this does more than, what the average scanner does this is for advance person that diagnose troubleshoots function testing wiring drivability it’s not for Joe off the street he wants to throw parts at a vehicle because they’re not going how to read the scanner how to read the data. What is this part? What is that part just because it spits the code out you gotta learn how to read the scanner how is it spitting it out? Is it a wiring issue mechanical issue, sensor issue computer issue just because that doesn’t mean that it could be a Bococa wire. It could be a loose pin. It could be a corroded ground, that’s where you get into troubleshooting you. Don’t wanna throw the shotgun at it and cost you thousands and you still didn’t fix it. You got a trunk full of parts and you ain’t taken into a shop and they find a broken wire or a loose connection.
Okay, you've reviewed all the nice things it does, but how is it that everybody skips over the lack of a correct scale for oxygen sensor graphing? I definitely would not have purchased this scanner had I known it would not work on the most common fault in the most common vehicle on earth.
If you buy one of these, you're probably better off getting It through Amazon than going. through extol like I did because you have. I think 30 to 60 90 days. With Amazon to return it .trying to deal with xtool out of China is a joke

This is a great tool. I have the newest Xtool p919 pro which cost about the $1609, this is d7w is great for diy home repair.
Can this tool do coding for abs? For example replacing an abs pump on a vw jetta you have to recode the new abs pump with the old code and adapt it
I don’t see why not, to be extra sure email the tool vendor your vin and ask before you remove the abs pump so you don’t leave yourself stranded.

I have a 2008 chevy Silverado, i have to change the tpms, keyless module, this scan tool can relearn the module?
Do you still have the D7, if so did you get the major 2023 upgrade for it and compared it to the D7S?
I do not have the d7 any longer and I don’t think it will compare d7s.

Yeah only to download the screen recording but that didn’t work so I used b/t to an old phone and did it way.
I just bought the tool can lock screen via password or pattern

xtool updates are usually more reasonable compared to other company's equivalent models, so I try to keep that in mind as well.

Ive yet to see anyone erase a code like p1745 and p0868 on the tcm its a hard code to get rid of.
