The "door" to the underworld was a stretched out corpse of a shadow clan member. Miranjo also mentioned it the first time we saw it. That's what Domas' "exploited even in death" comment was about.
Just to clarify, the previous king of the underworld was a god.... but he _wasn't_ immortal. He got married to a human woman and had children as an "experiment" to see if his offspring of mixed blood would gain immortality, though. Ironically, he ended up getting killed by his own sons before finding out one of them indeed became immortal.... but at a tragic price. Poor Ouken....
Miranjo trained and encouraged Apeas, and made him become self-confident, with her help he became the spear of the king and the foremost knight in the kingdom, She is his version of Kage. Before he met her he was strong, but timid and got scared easily,
Satun was a God. His name comes from Saturn.
The three brothers are demigods.
Yea Ouken’s story is really sad, it sucks seeing what he became.
So if you look and watch the opening again, when King desha using the Lightning, You can see the Tears, because that's the only way to stop Ouken.

is it just me but has this year the amount of anime has been really good...this show is a gem

this show is not from this year, but I get what you say
This show falls HARD after episode 12-13 and gets worse and worse until the end. It's going in one direction and then changes story all of a sudden and keeps adding random things until the season is ruined. It was wholesome and enjoyable until that point but then just got extremely convoluted and unfocused. The last few episodes were so bad and drawn out.
It is des-ha, b/c it’s a play on the name ha-des aka hades and synonymous with a being who rules over the underworld
Does it really matter how you pronounaced Deshas's name at this point???

I would recomend to fill this space with another wholesome animes, like " Kaguya Sama. Love is war", or "My dress up Darling"
