I'm sitting here working on my cross stitch and listening to you share your life. I kept thinking if we were closer we would be good friends. We have many things in common. Then you shared your current cross stitch! What a delight to see you working on the same project I have fallen in love with - Quakers & Quilts!! Very glad to know, even if we never meet here on earth, we will spend eternity together. God is so good! 🥰
I so enjoyed this video...thank you for joining us on Flosstube. I love your idea of stitching one thread while you listen to the Bible. Blessings, Marlene
I love cross stitching and quilting. It is funny how many of us quilt and cross stitch. I also in the winter love my knitting in the evenings. You did a great job on Flosstube and very much enjoyed watching you. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Sue. I appreciate the encouragement. My girls are knitters and crocheters, but I never picked those crafts up. I used to be frustrated that my girls didn't do the same thing that I did, but then I realized, we get so much more done if we all have our specialities! We compliment each other very well without all being the same!
Tammie, thank you for your flosstube. I so look forward to many more. You are so very pleasant and calm and I attribute much of that to your Christian belief. Love knowing you start your day in the Word. Your stitching is beautiful.. Each piece you showed was better than the previous one. Your rotation sounds especially interesting. I could probably get more done if I stayed out of the rabbit hole. Blessings to you. I will be watching for you.
Welcome to the floss tube world! I enjoyed seeing your projects. I also got back to cross stitch after a 30 yr hiatus. How things have changed! I remember the Paula Vaughn patterns and may have stitched a few of those too. My first project was a Lavender and Lace from my old stash. I am also a long arm quilter so I I need to find your quilt videos asap! Let Love Reign was my NY start and I just finished Teresa’s My Big Bird. Thank you for sharing❣️
I quilt, cross stitch, embroidery, wool applique, some paper crafts. I have a best friend who moved to Newburgh near Evansville. I enjoyed your flosstube.
I keep a pair of readers and scissors with each project bag or container too. I add other things like a package of gum, a package of tissues, an extra piece of fabric (like a small needle case) with extra needle on it. It saves so much time. Sometimes if we decide to go somewhere on a whim, I will grab a bag to work on for the trip, and everything I want is in it. On another note, I think your antique pin reminds me of the pins my mother used for holding her long overlapping skirts together, like people use on kilts. Oh. and my mother an I used up older embroidery threads we had leftover and inherited by using two colours together. For instance, for leaves and flower petals that needed dimension. It works almost like using variegated but it is contained to two colours at a time - one of each.
I came back to cross stitch around 2013 after being away for about 15 years. Ironically, the reason I stopped cross stitching is because I began quilting. Now, of course, I do both! We like a lot of the same patterns, anything with houses, barns and quilts! Great video, thanks for sharing.
Fantastic first flosstube video! I love all your projects and love your aesthetic. I'm not really into watching quilting videos but will look forward to your upcoming flosstube videos. Thank you for sharing your lovely projects.
Well I’m from Evansville and you are correct our little shop is fully packed! There’s so much in there I just can’t hardly go in! It’s charming for about an hour after that it’s too much for me😂 love your stitching and I enjoyed your first flosstube❤ blessings
Hello Tammie. I am from England and I have been a quilter for a number of years but I have only just discovered cross stitch. I am really enjoying watching floss tube and I have been inspired by your choice of patterns, styles, colours etc. I think that you should pass on the old half finished piece. You didn’t seem very enthusiastic and you definitely have plenty of other ideas and projects to keep you busy 😂 I have now subscribed and I look forward to your updates. Mary
I am so glad that you are back to doing your cross stitch, it is so fun. I loved seeing what you are working on and your finishes. I don’t know if you are interested or not, but Paula Vaughn also has a book called “Quilts of the Bible” and one called “Quilts of the Garden”. They are so pretty. Have fun in 2023 with your stitching and your quilting……………….
So enjoyed your first Cross-stitch Floss-Tube..I too was a big cross-stitcher but in the 80's...when I found floss-tube I was back at it and just love it even more now than I did then..so much to choose from and so much bling you can use with what you do..I look forward to your next floss-tube..Blessings..
I too kept Paula Vaughn’s patterns and kept the same book! I hope to stitch another one someday. Love your new floss tube. Wow you made bookmarks too! We are yesteryear sisters. 😊
This may be your first Flosstube but I certainly hope it’s not your last!! I thoroughly enjoyed every single moment! Thank you for a wonderful video and sharing your work-you are very talented! Sending best stitchy wishes from SC! 🧵 🪡
I love all the fun things that you’re working on. I had started cross stitching again after having stopped for a couple years. I was working on something that I did not enjoy, and had stopped, but I am so glad that I started again and I like to work on the aida cloth 14 count and I’ve been doing a lot of samplers, which I really enjoy. So many fun patterns to stitch! Love your videos.
Hi ChrisAnn! I apologize for taking so long to respond, but we have been out of town for a few days. I am so glad that you are stitching again. Sometimes it helps to take a break!
Just found your Flosstube. Great first one! Wish I could quilt (too old to learn) but I have been a cross stitcher for a long time. Love your choices of things to stitch. Your American Farmhouse is really pretty! The chart picture doesn’t do it justice. Looking forward to seeing your next Flosstube! God bless.
Your stitching is lovely! Please have a tutorial on how you laced the back, I would love to see how you do it! I want to try and frame some of my pieces. Thank you and this was a great first Floss Tube!
Hi Tammie, fabulous video so enjoyed seeing all your finished projects and WIP’s so beautiful!! Love your matching bling 🤩 on project bags perfect ♥️ I currently am finishing up two projects by Brenda Gervais Red Bird Sampler & Caroline Amelia Trowell ..I live in northern MN deep in the woods on water surrounded by nature so I love Birds & great outdoors…and the color Red but my stitching is what you would call primitive in color for the most part 😁 I look forward to seeing you again on next floss tube, 🤗🪡
I live in southern Indiana. I love cross stitching and have cross stitched since the early 80's off and on, but now I am obsessed. I am 67 years young, a retired psych nurse and have far more charts than I will ever do and still buying more. I am fairly new to quilting but have made simple flannel patchwork quilts for several years for my family. Now I am beginning more complex quilts and made a quilt design wall last week. Just enjoying life! So glad to find you on FT! I am working on Keeper of the Pins while watching and they are stitching up fast! I started Jenny Bean's Parlor on New Years Eve and am doing all 8 charts on one huge piece of Wren linen. God bless. 😄
You came up on my side feed & I am so glad to meet you. I am very excited to meet you & see what you are doing. I will be back for your other videos also.
Great floss tube, I enjoyed all of the things your stitching on. We really don’t have any overlap, though I do have the patterns to do most of them in the future. I am in monogamous stitcher and right now I am working on the cricket collection, Winter. Looking forward to your next video. Have a great day.
So happy I found you, I really enjoyed your video. All of your projects are lovely and I especially loved seeing them displayed around your house. I also cross-stitch and quilt and love everything that Lori Holt does. Looking forward to your next video. Happy stitching from Nova Scotia Canada.
Oh my gosh that’s the word God gave me too! I love your idea for it, I also wrote down ‘mindful practice’ as I go about my life but that’s too big to stitch! Have been watching all of your videos, new subscriber I just love everything you do! Blessings from down under! Shani
I’m a Hoosier too and just started a flosstube channel “Cindys Adventures in Stitching” Good luck! I live in southern Indiana too. Maybe we will meet up someday. I’m not sure how or why different videos pop up but I’m glad to have found you. Sending Hoosier love ❤
Great to know Cindy! I'll look for your channel. I actually live in West Central Indiana. We were visiting in Evansville which is about a 3 hour drive. I'd love to go back again!
I enjoyed watching and loved all your projects. I have slowly been getting back into cross-stitch. It's a learning process for me in regards to what I like to stitch on, how many strands, etc...let's just say I have been busy with a lot of restarts. I am enjoying it though. Focus is my word as well. 2022 seemed to be chaotic for some reason, full of distractions and I realized that I was in a season of busyness but really didn't accomplish much because of disruptions and distractions. So Focus is what I desperately need.
❤Hi from Ontario Canada! Just found you on Flosstube! Congratulations 🎉🎉on your first video! I just returned to Flosstube myself! I will be waiting for your next one… Happy Stitching!😊
Love both cross stitch and quilting too, as well as I live in old (125 year old) white farmhouse! Great floss tube! I did 10 of the paula Vaughn cross stitch and still want to complete the series. Maybe put them as blocks in a quilt?
Loved your video!! I also cross stitched in the 80's 90's and did book marks! I was able to buy Aida at Joanns (back then I think it was called House of Fabrics lol) that I could get by the yard and the edges were already finished. I made bookmarks and also used it on hooded bath towels for all of the kiddos. Love your decorating... and that wall color!!!
Thanks for watching Christine! In reading your comment, it reminded me that I made some other bookmarks for my girls. I'll have to pull them out and show them next Flosstube! Oh, the memories! And the hooded bath towels, yes! I did some cross stitch on bags as well, using the "waste canvas" that you could wet and pull out when you were finished with the stitching. Did you do that too?
@@tammieearnest YES!!! Sweatshirts....... my sister in law and I also made lots of ornaments. After I really got into quilting I gave up cross stitch... but I"M BAAACK!
Oh yay! I'm so happy you've joined the Flosstube Nation! 😊 I love all that you are stitching and please keep sharing. Miss Bingley is from Pride and Prejudice....love that book. I'm also an elementary librarian, live in Indiana, and quilt!
Wow! We have so much in common! Thanks for correcting me! “Little Women” didn’t sound right, but I could not think of anything else in the moment 🫣. Thanks for watching!
Welcome Tammy. I heard you mention Evansville Indiana- are you a Hoosier, too? Let me know- that’s exciting!! Glad to see you and your 1st video was good- keep up the good work🪡
Just found your channel ... very enjoyable! We both like a lot of the same stuff... cross stitch and quilts are the perfect combination. Seeing your version of Rosewood Manor's Quilts& Quakers had me rummaging through my stash for my copy of this pattern... putting it on my list of things I'd like to do... just the alphabet & the Quaker motifs. Thanks for sharing your work, I'm off to watch your 2nd episode!
Hi Tammie! So happy to see you doing a Flosstube as well! My 2 favourites - quilting and stitching. Your projects are beautiful. That lovely house....I'd rather chew my arm off than unpick all that gorgeous stitching. If I was you, I'd keep flubbing it and finish it up. No one will ever notice that the bricks are a bit off, and you will soon forget too. Think big picture and the visual from across a room. It is so pretty, I couldn't tell at all.
Thanks for your encouragement Sandra. I'll think on it some more. I just don't want to get to the end, and say "I should have." Maybe I can just take out some of those bottom rows of bricks and redo them so they are at least the same height as the others. Ughh.
Nice first Flosstube. I though I would clarify for you that the Miss Bingley's Library quote is from Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austin that was published in 1813. Many readers don't get that Jane Austin actually wrote a lot of wry and sarcastic humor in her books. In this case, Miss Bingley was a character who was really full of herself and probably never actually read a book. She was just trying to look learned to Mr. Darcy, who she lusted after. The really funny part of this chart is that the designer put Miss Bingley on the roof, standing on books she never read to get even higher, because she really thought highly of herself - so, some designer humor too.
I also love cross stitching and quilting. Cross-stitched in 80’s, started quilting in ‘85 and ever since. Friend told me about flosstubes she was watching. I started watching then jumped back in. Going to Stitchcon Weekend A. I’m stitching on Token of Fall at the moment, going to cut fat quarters for a quilt along starting February 1 with Liz Matthews and Michelleanncanstitch.
Loved your rotation plans! I also stitch with coffee and listen to the Bible in the morning, though it's usually knitting rather than cross stitch. Thanks for sharing. Very inspirational! Hello from Tennessee.
I had all the paula vaughan’s-ALL of them. I had cross stitched maybe 4…gave away all but one - when I picked it back up (after about 10 years), I started the backstitching…UGHHHHHH…. Didn’t finish it and decided to sell on ebay the entire lot (I believe I got $60! 😳). The unfinished piece hangs in my fabric room as my paula vaughan reminder, UNDONE…and I’m happy about it! Also, I, too, make my own thread drops for my dmc…there are etsy sites who sell pretty digital pictures. I’ve downloaded a couple, print them on cardstock I got from wally world, cut them to my size and hole punch with one small and one larger hole punch. Fellow longarmer/cross stitcher/knitter/crocheter….
I did find my Paula Vaughn Wagon Quilt piece! I’ll show it next time! I think I’ve past my time for them! Moving on to others! I love your idea for floss drops!
Welcome to Flosstube! I returned to cross stitching in 2020 after seeing a video on it by @HappyLittleStitchShop . Had no idea how far crosstitch had come! Lori Holt joins those lives and makes it really fun. I love your stitching and am now a new subscriber!!
Hello, nice work! I enjoyed your stitching choices, I also love houses, books, quilting and most crafts that involve a hook or needle. Miss Bingley, is from Pride and Prejudice. Mr. Darcy's, friend's snooty sister who was trying to get his attention away from his reading. There are other Jane Austin words of wisdom to be stitched. You have inspired me, thank you.
Happy Birthday!! I'm so happy to have found your floss tube! All of your projects are beautiful and I love seeing your project bags & bling as well. I'm stitching a Heartstring Samplery sampler while watching flosstube this morning. In my stitchy spot right now, I have the Heartstring one and a Blackbird Design patriotic and a Kathy Barrick all out and putting stitches in all three everyday. This could continue until I have one or more finished, or I could suddenly see a squirrel and start something new. That's why I can't make plans for my stitching. :-) so it's fun to see your WIPs and hear your plans. I'm looking forward to your next floss tube!
Thanks so much! I love all the designers you mentioned! That’s a great plan to work on each one, each day! The goal is to complete them and enjoy the journey and we all do that differently! Best wishes!
Good Thursday morning! Was so surprised to see that you also cross stitch. Really enjoyed the video, look forward to more cross stitch n quilts! Happy Stitching
I enjoyed your first flosstube and hearing about your journey back to crossstitching! I had a very similar journey as well. I was lured back by Little House Stitching Country Christmas. I was amazed how much patterns had changed while I was "away!" Looking forward to flosstube #2!
I quilt and cross stitch too, started as a child in the 70s. I stopped cross stitching around 2000, then started again about 3 years ago. Was the piece with the quilt in it that you got rid of a Paula Vaughn design by any chance? You may find it amusing to know her charts are back in style with younger stitchers, which really makes me smile. I have an old Paula Vaughn project with a quilt on a porch with a rocking chair, and when I started pulling out my old stuff from the 90s, I looked at that one and thought, ugh, nobody wants that anymore, it's very dated, out of fashion....and then to discover these young stitchers are hunting down those old charts...well, you never know!
I'm sitting here working on my cross stitch and listening to you share your life. I kept thinking if we were closer we would be good friends. We have many things in common. Then you shared your current cross stitch! What a delight to see you working on the same project I have fallen in love with - Quakers & Quilts!! You are sweet! Thanks for watching!
What an encouragement you are Sherrie! Thank you! But believe me, I find quite a few rabbit holes myself!
I love everything you stitch. Who cares of you are off a little it is beautiful!!!

Thanks Jacqueline! I have been stitching the flowers until I decide what to do with the house.
And I love that you show in your house where you display it!

What a wonderful 1st floss tube! I am presently working on smalls for Valentines. I love the way you approach your rotation of projects.
I really would like to do some Valentines projects too! 💕
I enjoyed seeing what you are stitching and seeing your first flosstube.
Thank you Carol!
I quilt, cross stitch, embroidery, wool applique, some paper crafts. I have a best friend who moved to Newburgh near Evansville. I enjoyed your flosstube.

That is exciting Adriana! I think realizing that we need to Focus is a great first step along the path!
Loved your first flosstube. I’m a returning cross stitcher also. Whole new world. Fun to see your projects. Thank you.
I can’t believe how much it has changed over the years. I’m glad the designers are creating these beautiful new patterns!
So glad to have found your channel! We have similar tastes and hobbies. Great first FT video!
Thanks so much!! Your work is amazing! I’ve watched many of your videos.
Jane Austen ❤
❤Hi from Ontario Canada! Just found you on Flosstube! Congratulations 🎉🎉on your first video! I just returned to Flosstube myself! I will be waiting for your next one… Happy Stitching!😊
Hello Elise! Thank you for watching!
Love both cross stitch and quilting too, as well as I live in old (125 year old) white farmhouse! Great floss tube! I did 10 of the paula Vaughn cross stitch and still want to complete the series. Maybe put them as blocks in a quilt?
That would be beautiful! I love the character and history of an old farmhouse!
Congrats on your 1st floss tube. I really enjoyed seeing your stitching! Can’t wait for the next one!
Oh, you are so kind! Thanks Wendy!
Welcome Tammy. I heard you mention Evansville Indiana- are you a Hoosier, too? Let me know- that’s exciting!! Glad to see you and your 1st video was good- keep up the good work🪡
Yes ma'am! Born and raised Hoosier! I have lived in west Central Indiana my entire life! Thank you for the encouragement!
Thank you Carol!
Ughh.
Enjoyed your floss tube! You did great...see you next time!
Thanks Jenny!
Janis, thank you for your additional insight! I love it! 💕
Great job!
Thanks Pat!
I absolutely loved your video. Thanks for sharing it and Happy Stitching. Xoxo. Miriam
Thank you for watching Miriam!
❤❤❤
😊😊😊
I throughly enjoyed your first video! I will be looking forward to seeing your next one!
Oh thank you! You are so kind!
Love it all!
@@tammieearnest lol…I don’t know where I got michelleanncanstitch! Should have been elizabethanncanstitch! 🤣
Loved your rotation plans! I also stitch with coffee and listen to the Bible in the morning, though it's usually knitting rather than cross stitch. Thanks for sharing. Very inspirational! Hello from Tennessee.
Thanks for watching Navigo!
Congratulations on your first Flosstube video. So glad you shared your beautiful stitching with everyone. Look forward to seeing you again x
Thanks for watching Kay!
Enjoyed your first floss tube. My friend is also a long arm quilter, but I don't quilt so far. I love houses too .working on Santa's now.
Sounds wonderful Rita! Maybe we’ll convert you to quilting too! 😊
Welcome to Flosstube! I returned to cross stitching in 2020 after seeing a video on it by @HappyLittleStitchShop . Had no idea how far crosstitch had come! Lori Holt joins those lives and makes it really fun. I love your stitching and am now a new subscriber!!
Oh thank you! Glad to have you here! I also watch Angela and enjoy her videos tremendously!
Great Flosstube! Love all your projects, especially enjoy seeing your finished pieces in their places around your home, great idea!
Thanks so much Darlene!
Just ordered the Plum Street Sweetheart Hill kitted up so excited to do this. Thanks for the inspiration.
You’ll love it!!
Hello from Fortville Indiana, congrats on your first flosstube! Can’t wait to see more.
Thanks so much Tina!
🥴. Thank you! I knew Little Women wasn’t right but I could not think in that moment. ☹️
@@tammieearnest. At my age, brain freezes happen often. Lol. My reaction was funny. (Don’t mean to tease). God’s blessings on your home.
@@irisandu2 Yep, me too! I appreciate the help! 😊
Awesome flosstube, loved all the patterns you have done.
Thanks so much Liz!
Beautiful stitching!! Great first flosstube!! Looking forward to many more. I am a Kentucky neighbor 😊
Thanks for watching Sadie!
Great video Tammie! Looking forward to your next!
Thanks so much!
Good Thursday morning! Was so surprised to see that you also cross stitch. Really enjoyed the video, look forward to more cross stitch n quilts! Happy Stitching
Longarm quilting by day, cross stitching by night! Thanks for watching Teresa!
I look forward to your videos!
Beautiful finishes! I live in Northwest Indiana near the Michigan border.
Hello fellow Hoosier! Glad to have you here!
I enjoyed your first flosstube and hearing about your journey back to crossstitching! I had a very similar journey as well. I was lured back by Little House Stitching Country Christmas. I was amazed how much patterns had changed while I was "away!" Looking forward to flosstube #2!
Oh thank you Patricia! I, too, cannot believe how much things changed while I was “absent”! 😊
Really liked your video. Thank you! I would not rip the house - make it work 🎉.
Thanks Ann-Marie! That seems to be the general consensus! 😉
I had no idea! It sounds like our stories are very similar. 😊
