Was going to ask what did u like or change I will check the new one out my problem is if I don’t do it in one day I get side tracked 2024 is the year that I am going to get organized I am NOT buying anymore crafts until I sort
I have actually did an entire makeover on my craft room. The best way to stay organized from my point of view is just to have less. Thats hard in the crafting world but that's the only way I am able to maintain my craft space@@jellen7332
Craftrooms are never ending organization. I clean mine, then it throws up and i reorganize again, lol. When I see those beautiful crafting rooms I think to myself, what a wonderful world and know it will last until the next time you craft, lol
Kristin, when I saw the before picture, it looked exactly like mine in December! Except you could barely see any floor in mine! Like you, I knew it wasn’t going to get organized in a day as it took a long time to get like this hot mess! So I started with a positive attitude and chose a small area I knew I could “fix” in a short amount of time. It worked. I was pleased with my progress and did the same the next day with new energy! Before long, I had it all in it’s right place! So satisfying too. I was eager to start crafting again without the problem of “going on the hunt “ for things I needed. I’m so proud of you! Yours looks gorgeous! It’s workable for you and that’s what matters! Be very proud of yourself. I had a closet maid shelf that was in our laundry room. Found it in our shed. I brought it in my craft room and hung it long ways against the wall instead of using like a shelf. I put all my florals in the top portion. Then use pipe cleaners to hang my ropes, twine, wreaths and anything else that needs to be hung for easy access. Works great for me. Thanks for sharing your experience and suggestions on cleaning up our craft areas. Now, the task is to keep it clean!!! 😮
I love seeing craft room videos because then I know for sure that I am not alone! 😂😂 Mine gets so cluttered! I’ve made myself clean, purge, and organize once a week now for about 3 months and it’s working out much better! I’ve tried to refrain from buying too much but that’s not going so well! 😂😂
I don't feel so alone now....😉 I usually clean it when I am packing up the past seasons. We do Friday crafts at my house for kids on our street. So I reorganized it to fit the ideas for them and for my DIYs.
I need to re-organize my craft room too. I blame the "clutter" on my hubby, because I have to shove things where I can and hide the bags when I buy new stuff LOL Thanks for the motivation to get started!
I appreciated this one because my craft space is in a basement and far from Pinterest worthy. I keep thinking I need to have uniform containers etc. You gave me permission to use what works and not worry about making a showplace. I am not a pro crafter so I need to not over think it.❤️
Thank you so much for your honesty and showing us your craft room before and after and all the work you put into it to clean it up and organize it. My room looks exact same and I have a smaller space so it has been a challenge because I love buying craft items as well and I love crafting. With the disorganization it makes it hard to craft and I end up walking away instead of enjoying all the fun finds and making beautiful things. I am now working hard to try to organize my craft room as well but there’s so many little things and never enough storage it seems like. Thank you again for your honesty and showing us that you’re not perfect, neither am I.
I love seeing a more real-life craft room makeover without the expensive items. Thank you. This is inspiring for me because I am on a strict budget. Awesome.
This is definitely worthy. Pinterest worthy is usually not very practical and your craft room organization is more workable for me. Thanks for the ideas and your space is a lovely bit of inspiration!
Showing the before really shows what happens when life happens. You are not alone. I have to declutter and clean my craft stuff out this year. I have a 4 bedroom home but 3 of my 4 children still live at home so craft room is not in the near future. But the over abundance of crafts can still get out of hand. I really enjoyed the way you did this video. Watching you work but doing the voice over kept it interesting because we love watching the progress but it helps to know your process.
I love that you kept it real and honest. Real life is messy. My crafting situation is hard to keep tidy as well. So awesome to see someone who is just like me lol
I feel SOOOOO much better knowing I’m NOT the only person who’s craft room gets like this!!! Amazing job as always!! Lots of love all the way from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️❤️
If you want a great way to organize florals hang a hook from the ceiling then hook a chain to desired length then put thick stems through the holes of the chain. It will look like a beautiful floral decoration. I did mine by colors together so it was a rainbow. Greenery ends up looking like a long hanging plant. I used this in a photography studio. Best thing ever and easy to find what you want.
I organized my craftroom about 2 months ago and I love it. I bought a few new organizers and got rid or things that wasn't working.. I get so much more done having a space for everything so I'm not searching for everything and waisting time. I make sure to put new items away as soon as I get home to keep it organized.
All I can say is girl good job that was a mess I am to OCD to not put things back where they belong. I wish I wasn’t the way I am . But I am so glad you did what you did in your room .. you will be so much happier. Knowing where everything is and what you have . I love your videos I am not hating on you I love you .
OMGOSH.....I have been ashamed to open door to my own craft room....then see I'M NOT ALONE!!! Been re-organizing same like you....God bless you for helping me feel better!!!! We are both getting there......hugs from your KENTUCKY friend....
Hi Kristin! You did it!! I can totally relate. I am worse!, I feel like such a hoarder because I see potential in everything! Thank you for sharing, it’s inspiring to get up and do something
I have a wall shelf unit for my paints as well but I found that I could store way more bottles by placing the bottles on their side. I paint a splotch of paint color on the lid so I can easily see what color it is.
I love how practical your organization is. Using what we have to organize our craft stuff. I have tons of jars and dollar tree bins etc… You will probably be a whole lot more productive than before and you were productive before.
Thank you! I watched and listened. You helped me realize that organizing my mess of a craft area will not happen overnight and to have patience. 👍🏻 your room looks great and I hope to have a craft “room” when I move!
It was GREAT to see a craft room as messy as mine. LOL Everybody I watch seems to be so organized. I am trying to get motivated to start my own organizing project.
I don't have a craft room so all of my stuff is in 3 big bins. I like the ziploc bag idea and storing the florals vertically. I think I am more of a craft supply shopper than a crafter. Lol!
Thank you so much for this video. Like, seriously, I can't thank you enough. The ideas are great, yes, but I'm thanking you for showing me that the crafters I watch here on UA-cam aren't as PERFECT as I assume they are. You're great, absolutely, but I sit here, in my bedroom/craft room sometimes in tears because I'm just so very overwhelmed with all the mess and clutter. I can't tell you how many times I've stubbed my toe on a crate or a bin or how many times I stepped on a sharp tool or damn near peed myself trying to step over all my items trying to rush to the bathroom or had a piece of double sided sticky tape stuck to the bottom of my sock, picking up trash with it along the way, hoping and praying for a better way. All the while thinking low of myself as I contemplate starting my own crafting channel. I talk myself out of it every time because I say "there is no way in h*ll I can begin to create a following when THIS is what I'm working with". I look up to you all here on the UA-cams, while looking down on myself a bit too much. You showed me that you crafters I idolize are also human and that with creativity comes clutter. I think there's a famous quote by Mark Twain or Einstein in reference to a clear desk equating that to an insane person. 🤷♀️🤣🤦♀️ No one is perfect and that's ok. Thank you once again. Sorry this is so long. I hope you read it and know I appreciate you. ❤️❤️❤️
Great job. Just a tip, lay the apple barrel size bottles on their sides with the bottom out. Then you can see the color thru the bottom. I keep my paints in a rolling cart upside down so I can see the colors. Tfs.
Oh my God that is amazing job that you've done I am a huge papercrafter Knitter, sewer, Card Maker and I have completely exploded out of my craft room into the dining room into a spare room and I don't even know where to start. You have done an amazing job and it would definitely be pinterest-worthy on one of my boards
Good morning Kristin. Wow!😱 when I saw your craft room. Your craft room is well organize and it great 👍🏼. Everything has a place. It looks great! It has been done. Thank you 🙏🏽 for sharing. You continue to stay safe and stay strong 💪🏽.
Kristin, Good for you tackling your craft room. Currently I don't have a dedicated room for crafts personally. It's a multi-function room. Has our personal office, my other half currently works from home, school supplies, and my crafts. It's always a work in progress. I have a lot of it organized but when you buy or life happens it can get chaotic. Do what works for you. Totally get keeping things out of little ones reach. I personally found the plastic shoe organizers from Walmart are great for stickers, smaller craft items, pipe cleaners. I use a three drawer plastic organizer for my floral picks and can divide them based on time of year I use them. I find labeling helps me remember we're things are as well. Just some suggestions or ideas. I love the cubicle units.
Great job! Just an FYI if you lay your paints on their side, it helps them from drying out but you can see all the colors you have and don’t knock them all over the place because you want the one in the back!!!!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You've opened the door of possibilty for me to actually get my craftroom in order... So many vidoes make it so "perfect" and I'm certainly not. I love your process. It makes sense to me....
Thank you so very much for sharing your life like this. I struggle with my craft area and end up taking the house but your content motivated me to get mine together thank you! 🫂🙏🏽❤️
Thank you for sharing because I have been looking for ideas on how to organize my classroom we had turn that attic into my craft room put a AC heater and all that stuff up there and have been looking for ideas thank you so much and have a blessed day
No craft room, just vertical space on laundry walls. I love using small colour themed (eg aqua/turquoise) plant pots or solid colour vases for holding the mainly small amounts of different items i have eg glue gun/ glue sticks in one, paint brushes in another etc. So things that arent inherently decorative become pretty. Magazine boxes hold picture frames. Translucent clear bins hold macro categories eg sewing, ribbon, gift bags. For florals, ive hung one of the ikea extendable 3 arm towel rails on a wall, threaded on 3 vacuum seal bags and put florals in them (with small offcuts etc in snap lock bags with the matching colour florals). I just close the tops (dont vacuum seal them), as its dusty in my laundry.
I don't have a craft room, I have a craft space. I have started to organize it but, like you said it takes time. I kind of stopped for a while as I haven't been feeling well but, I am hoping to get back to it soon. Great Job
Wow Kristen this is fantastic. You give me hope. I have a small room that is for crafting and my day job. I am so cluttered in and have no idea where to begin and I have thngs I need to make. You are a breath of fresh air to this old lady. Thank you.
I’m working on another craft room declutter and I think my method this time around will be way better. Same room but more functional items 😉 should be finished sometime in February
I enjoyed your video. It certainly gave me good ideas. Yes my craft room is a huge mess. I am working on it, I’m so thankful you were so honest in saying it took a long time. It is taking me a long time. There’s so much stuff. Great job.
I am so glad I watched this videos. I thought I was the I only one in the world that was like me, and then……. This video! I swear you are my craft room twin. It’s crazy, but we are identical with how you purchase, organize, and EVERYTHING!!it was nice to see that I am not the only one with the struggles we have. Thank you!!
I have two and a half rooms with my crafts and fabrics. I am also a quilter so I have tons of stuff related to that. I have about 20 tubs (large) tubs in the basement. I have about 30 tubs in the garage. I am a hoarder and just keep buying more. I have been crafting and quilting since I was 7 years old starting with cross stitch and doing every type of craft. I am hoping to get everything organized by season and type of things by this spring. You craft room looks wonderful. Good luck on keeping it up.
I really enjoyed how real this video is! I need to organize/clean my craft room its a mess, thanks for the real life tips super helpful so much more than pinterest tbh :)
I understand why you want to sit on the floor and craft. I tried it (since you mentioned it in past videos) and love it. I have some of those plaid bins from dollar tree and love them. Oh my word, it looks amazing!!!
I have so much more space when I sit on the floor. I don’t have to scoot out a chair and walk to something I can just reach what I need lol. I love the plaid bins from dollar tree
@@KristinKay I agree. I feel like I can reach those hard to reach places when painting too. I found those plaid bins just randomly at Dollar Tree and I love them and totally want more. They hold so much.
I have tall bookcases. I use lots of photo boxes for organizing--well labeled. I always buy extra shelves so I don't have wasted air space above the boxes. I prefer straight-sided boxes with straight angled corners and lids to keep dust out. I also use lots of see-through drawer units on wheels.
I have a craft room that is somewhat clean and a lot of mess lol. I'm constantly cleaning my desk off and the floor is always cluttered but I love it and I know where all my things are. Not Pinterest worthy but it works for me. Love your space it turned out great.
O my gosh! I thought I was the only one who's craft room was such a mess lol. I clean and organize it and it looks really nice....until I go shopping again and then it's a big mess all over again. But your video gave me some really good ideas for some wall organizers that I already have that are a lot like the ones you have and I did not think to use them the way your are. So I am inspired by your video and can once again clean up and use your great ideas. 😊
I just went through my craft room to. I share my room with my husband. He has a little tool bench and his computer set up so I have to keep my space cleaned up. I think it looks awesome! Thank you for sharing.
Very impressive! You did a great job organizing. Everything looks so nice. I am kind of just getting into crafting but unfortunately, the mess is part of it and it is definitely more fun to make the crafts and clean up so I get it that’s reality!
You've recognized the important thing, Kristin. Make it work for you, in your real life. Early on, I'd organize and everything looked great, but things weren't easily accessible. Better to have like things together where they can be seen. I've found that items out of sight are often overlooked, or lost in drawers. What good is that? Splendid work. When can you start on mine, lol!!!
I showed my husband your before so he knows that crafty genius can sometimes be messy! 😂😂😂 plus you made it look beautiful, so I can Do it too.........maybe! 😊❤️
My craft room was a mess but I got I done I try to keep it clean but sometimes you don’t feel like doing it. But your room looks amazing love it you and your family have a great weekend ❤️🐣🐰
Mine is a mess at the moment, but its organized. I just went through and purged a bunch of stuff that I'm giving to my sister. My craftroom is not fancy but it's functional. I had to reconfigure my craft desk since I started working from home last year. So my craft desk houses my work computer and I picked up a square card table to craft on.
If you put your 2oz paint bottles on their side ( and can see thru the bottoms) you could see the colors that you have instead of 'digging' thru them. Or you could paint each color on the lids to see the colors and laid on side.
@@leaht4505 it was organized up until I started working at dollar tree in October. Not only do I have less time but making extra money I keep buying more and more.🤦♀️
@@Hollycm73 my clutter is from DT hauls too! I buy things several times a week. If I worked there, I would use my whole check on DT stuff!!!💜Good luck!!🤗
@@leaht4505 that’s the only reason I started working there was to support my hobby of buying craft supplies. I told them they could pay me in merchandise but they said no😂😂
LOL it's so funny how our craft rooms turn into a disaster so fast, I can relate. I started off with a small area in my finished basement & after 1yr I had to make it bigger & get everything organized. I would have never thought that my craft rm would be as huge & full as it is now. I love watching how all you crafters organize because it gives me lots of ideas. I can't craft in a unorganized rm. Well I'm off now to finish my redo of my new craft rm. Looking forward to all your Spring & Summer crafts, you always have such great ideas. Happy organized crafting my friend.
I just cleaning my craft room so I looked up Inspirational video and yours is the one I found so I’m gonna get to it hopefully my looks as cute as yours does
It’s the absolute best feeling. This is the only room that doesn’t get cleaned or picked up daily. I really should make a better effort to do that so it doesn’t take me weeks again lol
Don't worry Kristen, I have a room downstairs that's its a shop/craft room but it's more like a storage area cause everything was thrown in there while we renovating the family room and guest bedroom but I have been slowly trying to get it organized
Ty for sharing. We just bought a house and I had no idea wish had organization stuff. Thank u so much now I can open boxes. I can’t even walk into one of my craft room it’s that bad.
I’m redoing my craft room too. .I have junk on my bed so I’m sleeping on the couch and I’m trying to get it done before I have surgery in 3 weeks. After that I can’t lift for 4 weeks. Loving your room. I got 2 4x4 pegboards for my wall to put up and I got a 6 ft shelf to put by the wall. I have one small cube organizer to put under my craft table. It’s exhausting. Got the big cabinet up and my pegboard painted a cornflower blue to match the curtains in there. It’s not a big room.
Looks great! Can't believe you created so much stuff in that tiny space on the floor! LOL! Only suggestion is to turn your small pain bottles on their side and stack them in the wall shelf...this way you can easily see your colors. Ones in the back you can't see what color they are. Unless you have them organized a particular way. I have to re do my craft room!
My craft room looks like yours did. I need to get in there and clean up for sure. I also have a tiny closet in there that is so hard to use! Love the after of your room so much!
Your room looks fabulous! I’m so glad that it took you a month to finish. I always get overwhelmed when organizing, so I need to stop for awhile! New subscriber, too!
Well u just made me get up and clean mine, I didn’t know where to start . so sorting is what’s going on now!! Plz keep me in your thoughts and prayers!😂
I love your room. I wish a fairy godmother would come and organize my craft/family room (and the overflow in the whole attic above that room). I have so much that I can only work 3-4 hours at a time in those areas because it gives me and anxiety attack! People think I’m just exaggerating about how much I have until they see just the craft/family room. Lol Some ask if they can shop in my store. Lol You did give me some ideas that I think will work for me. Thanks!!!
For vinyl organization I found standing then up in a bin allowed them to be seen, I used plastic file folder holders I can slip on and off the shelf as needed. You've made such wonderful progress. I would love a craft room. Nice work!
Great to see I'm not the only disorganized crafter I'm just jealous that you actually have a room for crafting I unfortunately have to keep my supplies stored and get them out when I need them. Great job on your room!!
It doesn’t matter how it looks it matters how it works! Turned out fantastic ! I’m tired just watching you! I use a wine rack for my vinyls and DT has floral bags like you get fresh flowers in. I use those to organize my florals. My other tip is always stop what you’re doing in time to clean up!! You did great!
Love it. thanks for sharing your craft room clean-up/organization. I need to do this so bad. Its 2022 now. time to get started. Thanks for the motivation.
Looks great, it looks like you need to do something in the corners still. lol I would go to the dollar tree and get the trash bag holders, that works great for the vinyl and you can see the colors really well, and get a 9 cube would work great there and you can put your cricket space, just a suggestion. I am still working on my craft room and that has been a year in progress. Great Job!
It looks great! Thanks for sharing. One tip for your vinyl I did for my daughter was use a cubby and cut pvc pipe down to fit and organize the vinyl by color. Pinterest has a lot of great ideas. 👍
You might find it handy to cut a paper towel tube into short circles to put your vinyl through. It will keep it from unrolling in your tub. Also, you could put your paint bottles on their side, bottom end out, you can get more in the space and see the colors, making it easy to pick and pull out.😁 Nice job on your clean up!!
Fantastic job.my craft/ sewing room looks a lot like this.I have been taking a LOT of crafting supplies to Goodwill.I had way to much 💵 🌳 stuff.Planning on doing more quilt making than crafting .

Kristin,
Good for you tackling your craft room.
My stuff looked a lot like yours. No lie!!! I'm moving so there's TONS of inspiration for me in this video. Thank you for sharing!
This makes me feel so normal!! And, I was starting to doubt it!! 🤪Thank you for sharing!
True and raw that’s about how craft rooms end up thank you for sharing
Watching others de clutter motivates me so, thank you
I use one wall of the walk in closet for crafting. Not a large area either. I could use the Closet Maid cubbies! Great inspiration!!
I may not need any more crafting supplies, BUT when there is a good sale I always make an exception! :)
I enjoyed your video. It certainly gave me good ideas. Yes my craft room is a huge mess. I am working on it, I’m so thankful you were so honest in saying it took a long time. It is taking me a long time. There’s so much stuff. Great job.
Complimenti per il coraggio, mi hai fatto venire voglia di tirare fuori da ogni dove tutta la roba accumulata. Appena avrò tempo lo farò. :)
Thank you!!
Hi Kristin your Craft room looks great you did a great job .👍 TFS enjoy the rest of your weekend stay safe and God Bless.
I am in my craft room today in the midst of a level ten declutter and ended up here looking for support! Thanks for Sharing
My craft room is a wreck! Can’t even craft right now! Going through withdrawals! Thank you for the inspiration to get started cleaning and organizing!
Just got done cleaning my craft room in the house. Now I have revamp my actual craft shed. Oh boii . . .😮
I just went through my craft room to. I share my room with my husband. He has a little tool bench and his computer set up so I have to keep my space cleaned up. I think it looks awesome! Thank you for sharing.
Wow very nice size craft room. Wow you have a ton of crafting supplies . Very awesome . It must hard to keep it organized I'm sure.
I cannot believe you craft on the floor but you are young. This room is gonna be awesome in the after pictures
WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!! It's amazing!!! OK you're hired!! lolol. Seriously Kristin I desperately needed some inspiration so..THANK YOU!!
Good evening Kristin and thank you for sharing
I showed my husband your before so he knows that crafty genius can sometimes be messy! 😂😂😂 plus you made it look beautiful, so I can Do it too.........maybe! 😊❤️
Yes you can do it. If I can do it with small kiddos you can definitely do it ❤️
My craft room was a mess but I got I done I try to keep it clean but sometimes you don’t feel like doing it. But your room looks amazing love it you and your family have a great weekend ❤️🐣🐰
It looks amazing. Wow! You worked so hard I am tired from watching this lol. Well done. It looks so much more functional now.
Thanks for this video, it will help me when I finally have craft room.
I have been turning my spare room into my craft room and it is so tiring. I've been working on it for about 2 weeks. Yours looks great.
If you put your 2oz paint bottles on their side ( and can see thru the bottoms) you could see the colors that you have instead of 'digging' thru them. Or you could paint each color on the lids to see the colors and laid on side.
Makes me want to go clean and organize my craft room. But like you it’s going to takes WEEKS 😊
It took me weeks, I got it cleaned up. But oops, it needs some TLC again! Good luck, it’s so worth having your stuff organized 💖💖💖
@@leaht4505 er674
I use my happy place everyday it will never be Pinterest ready crafting is just messy and so much fun. Good job on your happy place .
I just cleaning my craft room so I looked up Inspirational video and yours is the one I found so I’m gonna get to it hopefully my looks as cute as yours does
My before is so messy! You really inspired me to organize! I've been trying, but get so overwhelmed.
I was overwhelmed all the time going in that room. Still am, but at least it’s more organized
That is the most awesome feeling when the craft room is tidy and you can see everything that you have
It’s the absolute best feeling.
You have inspired me to clean out and organize my craft room
I have them all by color
Some I don’t use but maybe down the road. I like the idea of them sideways though.
Lol. All my Valentine’s Day stuff this year in that tiny spot lol
You did a great job! I'm working on mine. Hopefully mine will look a little better but it will never be as lovely as yours!
Good job at sticking to it! Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing!!
I need to get busy!
Lol
Some ask if they can shop in my store. Lol
You did give me some ideas that I think will work for me.
Great Idea with the PVC pipe!
I recently re-organized my craft room and was shocked at how much stuff I didn’t realize I had 😳. Love how your room turned out!
I bought a back of cheap slap bracelets on Amazon for mine!
Am still working on my crafts in my basement to.
Fantastic job.my craft/ sewing room looks a lot like this.I have been taking a LOT of crafting supplies to Goodwill.I had way to much 💵 🌳 stuff.Planning on doing more quilt making than crafting .
