The beauty of New Orleans is the most apparent when you can leave it and go back to a functioning boring city. You have to be able to ignore A LOT of dysfunction to live here; that's why alcohol is so abundant. It's a pig with lipstick on, and the appeal of a pig in lipstick fades fast when you have to see it every day sober. Don't get me wrong, it's great for a visit because you're looking through the care free lens of a tourist. If you never want to lose the magic that makes New Orleans special, never move here.
I couldn’t have said it any better. You will notice the difference when you actually live in New Orleans and have to get things done, only to realize that everything is more difficult than where you came from because the city and business in it are very dysfunctional. I can tolerate because it’s home and I know how to maneuver there.
Thanks for the vid! New Orleans is very interesting, as I'm not from the US, The first time I heard about that state was when I was watching a video about an abandoned theme park there, six flags I guess, destroyed by hurricane Katrina.

Does New Orleans have good public transportation? I kinda wanna visit New Orleans but I don’t like visiting cities that don’t have good public transportation.
Downtown including the French Quarter is very walkable, it’s not a big place so you won’t need trains or buses so much…The only bus you would need to take is the Magazine St bus if you want to shop or go to the zoo because it’s a very long street with shops and restaurants along the entire way. The street car will talk you to all the attractions, and there are charter buses out to the swamps and plantations.
