I made a world in my head where Cass went out with the guards looking for Eugene that day and while looking she stumbled upon the tower then found Rapunzel and decided to help her see the lanterns and they fell in love, then once she was reunited with her parents Cass’s father would take her seriously since she brought back the lost princess and Tangled the series ensues but with slight changes. Cass doesn’t take the moonstone because her anger didn’t build that much, no one underestimated her because she was the captain’s daughter and the one who brought back the princess. The reveal of gothel being her mother would still hurt but not as much and I think in those circumstances Cass would have told Raps and she would be there to comfort her and the two live happily. That’s my current head canon and I’m sticking to it.
I think at first Cassandra and Rapunzel had a deal Cassandra saw how strong Rapunzel's hair was because she was rapped in it and even a knife couldn't cut her free so she made a deal with Rapunzel that if they got Eugene she would take her to the floating lights and through wacky hijinks Eugene entered the party of course Cassandra would be like Maximus not liking Eugene at first getting into fights with him etc etc and that's why she opts to leave him in favor of saving Rapunzel cuz she was under the impression Eugene abandoned both of them and at that time she saw him as a friend at this time Rapunzel figures out Eugene didn't abandon her and is now facing death meanwhile with Cassandra she knows the way to the Tower when she gets there Cassandra recognizes gothal she's angry at this betrayal from her own mother so she gets in a fight with her in which gathol succeeds to run a knife through Cassandra then Rapunzel that she did with Eugene and once a tear hit Cassandra's face she's healed Rapunzel tells Cassandra they have to go save Eugene cass asks why and Rapunzel fills her in they both saved Eugene at the time he was going to be hanged like literally cass threw a knife at the Rope and since the king and queen would be watching something like this they notice Rapunzel and Cassandra rushes up to Eugene and the queen recognizes Rapunzel as the Lost Princess at this point in time Rapunzel didn't know I mean she knew she was perhaps a Lord's daughter something but not the king and queens Once Eugene is pardoned of his crimes he goes to find his own family he thought if Rapunzel could do it I can too he asks Rapunzel if she was want to go with him and Rapunzel says no she wants to learn more about her family and wants to stay with Cassandra so in the end she chooses Cass to be her lady-in-waiting cuz they would need to keep their loved a little hush hush just until Rapunzel becomes Queen Cassandra would still be looked down upon because she cut the rope for Eugene who was a criminal so they think at any time even her own father she could betray them again then the Tangled series goes on just without Eugene's antics and a little Cassandra Rapunzel love that's how I view it if Cassandra was the one two free Rapunzel from the tower and not Eugene
Honestly I kinda feel weird about Eugene and Rapunzels romance now. Like sure, he's a good guy and all but he could've been a complete piece of shit. If Rapunzel could've fallen in love with any person she saw first, how genuine was their romance in the movie really?

Yep, I get so sad just thinking about my headcanon on Cass' unrequited love.

She refuses to marry him, doesn't put their names in the book of hearts, etc. Its just that their chemistry almost completely disappears and it stops making sense for them to be together. On the other hand, Cass and Raps get most of the screen time and they have incredible chemistry.

I agree with what you're saying but just wanted to tell you that he's actually 5 years older than her, I've seen the 7 years age gap even in youtube videos because people don't do their reasearch. Also until season 3 he tought he was a year younger than he really is so make of that what you wish. In the movie: Eugene: 23 Rapunzel: 18 At the end of the series: Eugene: 26 Rapunzel: 20 If you wanna know about Cassandra too she was 22 at the start of season 1 and 24 at the end. So she and Raps have a 4 year age gap.
Cassandra probably would have had loved Rapunzel if Rapunzel had earned her friendship properly because I'm surprised when we see how she and Cassandra first met it turns out Cassandra was never really her friend to begin with she was just a simple servant girl that Rapunzel Force Her friendship on. Also this reminds me of an Untold Story a Robin Hood that I am writing where he and his sworn enemy Prince John were childhood friends before they grew up to be sworn enemies.

Right ppl writers intertitular we need to figure out a way to (somehow) time travel back to when tangled was still being written and persuade the writers to go through with this.
The writers wanted it to be a thing, but it was made in a time when Disney tried to steer away from LGBTQ+ content, so they couldn't make it canon in the show. But I think there's a comic somewhere in the world that every cassunzal shipper needs to read.
And to add on to what I was saying, despite Rapunzel calling them "sisters" that can change. I think she was oblivious. Obviously, people can ship the Eugene and Rapunzel, they're canon, but I personally love Cassandra and Rapunzel. They remind me of Charlie and Vaggie from Hazbin Hotel which makes it so much gayer in my opinion and I love it. And if I was Rapunzel, I would go for Cass. Just me personally.

Okay, this is old, I know, but I still ship them to this day. I fully believe that Rapunzel love Cassandra romantically and vice versa. I did love Eugene and Rapunzel at first, but now that I've watched the series, I changed my mind. Marriages can change and having Cass into the mix, I feel like she starts to fall in love with Cass rather than her actual boyfriend since he was always in the background most of the time. Yes, they had their moments, but Cass and Rapunzel were ALWAYS together. Best friends don't act like that. Yeah, I'm close with my best friend, but the way they act, it's different. And you can clearly see that Cass has a thing for Rapunzel.

Tangled is one of my favourites Disney movies, for real. But I only watched Tangled Aventures cause of Cassandra. I just love the character! And, damn disney! I just tought Eugene and Rapunzel were the perfect couple (mostly in the movie), and then you introduce me Cassandra? And plus, Cassandra and Rapunzel with a chemestry plus bisexual vibes? You made a mess with my heart!
And all that chemestry was unfair to us, cause we all know that Eugene and Rapunzel were going to end up as a married couple, plus we know Disney was repelling LGBTQ content (until now).But thanks for introducing Cassandra to us...

Actually cassunzal is canon. The writers confirmed Cass is lesbian and loved Rapunzel but because of Disney censorship couldnt introduce the premise on the show, but the comic they wrote was, well uhm. A closure for cassunzal shippers

ok so in my head rapunzel loves eugene but only bc he was the only other person she met in 18 years. plus he's 7 years older than her ☠️ she clearly love cass too but the feelings she has for her are much more stronger and better they're literally sun and the moon they're meant to be. I'M STILL WAITING FOR series about cassandra and her adventures
I agree with what you're saying but just wanted to tell you that he's actually 5 years older than her, I've seen the 7 years age gap even in youtube videos because people don't do their reasearch. Also until season 3 he tought he was a year younger than he really is so make of that what you wish.

If you wanna know about Cassandra too she was 22 at the start of season 1 and 24 at the end. So she and Raps have a 4 year age gap.

Cassandra probably would have had loved Rapunzel if Rapunzel had earned her friendship properly because I'm surprised when we see how she and Cassandra first met it turns out Cassandra was never really her friend to begin with she was just a simple servant girl that Rapunzel Force Her friendship on.
Also this reminds me of an Untold Story a Robin Hood that I am writing where he and his sworn enemy Prince John were childhood friends before they grew up to be sworn enemies.
Keep in mind that Rapunzel is still learning her people skills.

Is it too late for Disney to turn this into a thing where they teach kids how to healthly part from a relationship where you've grown apart for someone who you love and loves you and would be mutually beneficial relationship with you if they had the chance? Like all I'm saying is it wouldn't be much of a stretch for Eugene to stay friends with the royals and still be a good person but at the same time realize he doesn't love her he loves that she made him a better person and they part ways? Maybe he goes back to loving himself or maybe he finds a girl and lives happily ever after idk i just want endgame to be cass x raps.
Disney would never do that but it is a good idea to show kids that you can still be friends even if a relationship changes. I think platonic love is just as important

Right ppl writers intertitular we need to figure out a way to (somehow) time travel back to when tangled was still being written and persuade the writers to go through with this.
I think it's safe to say that the creative branch of this show's production are the last people you should blame for this ship not happening.

The writers wanted it to be a thing, but it was made in a time when Disney tried to steer away from LGBTQ+ content, so they couldn't make it canon in the show. But I think there's a comic somewhere in the world that every cassunzal shipper needs to read.

And to add on to what I was saying, despite Rapunzel calling them "sisters" that can change. I think she was oblivious. Obviously, people can ship the Eugene and Rapunzel, they're canon, but I personally love Cassandra and Rapunzel. They remind me of Charlie and Vaggie from Hazbin Hotel which makes it so much gayer in my opinion and I love it. And if I was Rapunzel, I would go for Cass. Just me personally.

Okay, this is old, I know, but I still ship them to this day. I fully believe that Rapunzel love Cassandra romantically and vice versa. I did love Eugene and Rapunzel at first, but now that I've watched the series, I changed my mind. Marriages can change and having Cass into the mix, I feel like she starts to fall in love with Cass rather than her actual boyfriend since he was always in the background most of the time. Yes, they had their moments, but Cass and Rapunzel were ALWAYS together. Best friends don't act like that. Yeah, I'm close with my best friend, but the way they act, it's different. And you can clearly see that Cass has a thing for Rapunzel.

Gothel is not and never was Rapunzel's mother. I doubt someone would call the woman who kidnapped them as a newborn, isolated them from the rest of the world and mentally abused them for eighteen years their mother even if they found out one of their friends was that woman's biological child. They can bond over sharing an abuser but this fact alone does not make them sisters. Again, I think Disney was aware of how romantic their chemistry was so they went with the sisters excuse. Even if you want to interpret it as unrequited on Rapunzel's side, Cassandra was definitely in love with her.
