I really like the human design better simply for the fact that it's easier to mod and dimensions are easier to reference off of. Though, the AI generated one isn't bad. I would never have thought it came this far and this will open my eyes a little bit to trying it out sometime... maybe. But I'm also someone who has a cert In solidworks. For those who don't do cad this is a game changer for sure.
Single product, concept to print, not time constrained but with a shorter video. Oh, and more of the "better to do it this way because it will print better" stuff thrown in. Single videos for CAD and AI used together rather than competing. CAD to design models that are merged with AI designs and/or AI results that are then fixed in CAD. Not full-on CAD or AI tutorials, but rather focused on work-flows and the design choices that print well. In other words, the "here are the various ways you can design better for printing" videos are great but a concept carried through to result with the choice you'd make (for each issue) would also be helpful (and interesting). As the design proceeds and issues come up, just a quick "I'm doing this to solve that" and then move on. I'd like videos like that.
Eh, it was ok, kinda boring. Maybe if you had another dude, someone else there at slant 3d to actually work against then it might be more interesting. The length was about 30 minutes way too long.
I think that the latest deepseek work indicates that an RL pipeline for cad is possible if a sufficiently large training dataset exists. Thanks for the video!
Excellent video !!! I will like more of this because I'm on 3D printing and Papercraft and those Image to 3D generators can model a character from an old cartoon or create a 3D printable representation of new characters from new generation story tellers.
“Watch me cook” 😂 You could have both organic and precision CAD by blending Shapr3D and Nomad sculpt. There is a huge learning curve and time is also an issue. Seems like blending AI with pre built items like the mag charger is a valid option.
hi slant 3d what do you think about using blender to create 3d printable models ? i didn't learn to use cad yet and i find it easier bc i have more experience with blender is it worth learning/switching to cad or does blender work fine too ?
When I try and look at blender I just can't do it because I just don't want to have to watch that much tutorial in order to use something I can't even use right now.
i like both the ai and tha cad models. i was thinking you could add ai generated stuff to the cad model kind of like mechanical wires or something that makes it look more organic so the cad just like it is and around the corners the details if you know what i mean
I know you prefer to wear black clothing, but for this video you're AI personality should be wearing a different shade of black. Great topic. Is like to see more.
It's crazy how people from our old world created the most amazing architecture and art without computers... What happened to us? lol The more we depend on tech the less intelligent we become.
@@olivetree9920 Why? These humans were using more of their brains than humans in this time and I think they did very well without it, today we still can't build what they did! Now we all rely on tech to do it for us, it makes us dumber! Just imagine if some huge EMP blast wipes out tech all around the world, most of the human population would die off in a week!

Human was best, but I can see the value in the AI generation for people that don’t know programs like blender. Gives you a good starting point.
AI didn’t create a pencil cup, it created a Godzilla shape which you extruded a hole into.
"AI Gabe" just needs a bitcoin necklace to look like the perfect crypto bro. 😁
Is it bad that the most surprising thing in this video was that they still use Cura?
@@bradonnewcomb960 if it works, don't change it
Dude is your desk just particle board? We need to get this channel a table sponcer that shit is flexing a lot.
S key in Fusion 360 is search then type Mirror or at least the first letter or two. Tip for anyone reading, not just Gabe.

Enjoyed this! Nicely done 👏
the human design is way better i feel the ai design is just so genaric and of control
Generic genaric(?) sorry I'm a recovering grammar n**I I guess
Damn this is the future.. and I love it! To think that you can go from idea to small-scale production so quickly.

@sky0kast0 so maybe just stick to the program that you're used to right ?
blender is great for non-technical parts. for technical parts other applications are better because blender doesn't really have parametric design

interesting thanks
Ehhh that chatgpt at the beginning kinda seemed like cheating

Those architects would have loved if they could have used AI. People with actual creativity are even better with AI tools.
I would argue that we are just mastering a new medium
