    I’m surprised that Las Vegas is still a vacation destination. With sports betting now in my state, I have no reason to go to Las Vegas anymore.

    I know the culture. I live here. I RARELY tip when gambling. Your expectations do not become my obligations. These casinos make BILLIONS. Go to them for a pay raise.
    In fact, this idea that "People don't know you are supposed to tip" is flawed. It is a point of view. It is subjective. There is no "supposed to tip".

    5% in a contest that pays out $14 million +. So the Circa Sports book staff just expects $700k in tips for running the contest? Absolutely ludicrous.

    Bill, you and Gill on the show today was fantastic .regarding tipping you crack me up .and by the way, thank you very much for reaching out to me. I agree tipping is to insure prompt service. I usually tip at least 20-25% on food on the casino I tip all the times my wife yells at me and tells me that I tip too much. It is what it is but I really enjoyed the show. Stay well brother and keep an eye on yourself. Stay well. God willing I’ll get to see you again, I may just show up while filming 😂

    If you won survivor why would you tip a teller who had 0 impact on your outcome AT ALL. They could’ve started that job two weeks and they just show up on Monday and get 5k for breathing? It’s just expected and accepted by all who live in Vegas? Makes no sense that teller did legit nothing

    I'm a Slot Attendant and I will say these gentlemen are correct when they say some people do not know to tip on a jackpot or for service. I do not get upset at someone not truly knowing. And yes these casinos should pay more. Because tipped employees are relying on tips. There are certain situations where I'm fine with no tip or a small tip. Then there are times when we should get tipped and don't. It's a very interesting conversation and debate.

    • @jimbob4400
      @jimbob4400 19 годин тому

      Slot attendants don’t make $12 per hour like dealers and there is no constant interaction with the guests like a dealer. Treat the dealer like a bartender. They are there to converse with the guests. Listen to them. Tell a joke etc etc. if they are statue dealers or bartenders and make no effort, That’s on them. You’re in the customer service business!! Remember that and don’t just expect a tip for being silent. Now as for the slot attendants they show up to get your social security # and have you cash. Not a tipping situation and most I know understand and accept that and what they signed up for.

    If I win a hand pay....say $1,500, I usually tip $20. If I won $100,000, I wouldn't tip more than $100, but probably less. All these people are doing is giving me paperwork where I have to pay the IRS 30%, then paying me my winnings. There's not much work in that. Why in the hell would I tip a $1000 or more for handing me paperwork and a check? I went to Italy recently and they don't expect tips. Being from the US I probably still tipped too much. If you tip a Uber driver loose change, that is sufficient and not expected. If you tip 5% on a meal, that isn't insulting to Italians. I know they probably get paid more than in the US, but I knew it was out of control in the US when tip creeping appeared at fast food drive-in windows.

    I agree; even the Uber drivers now expect you to tip them $5 to $7 for taking you 3 blocks; I'm just done with Vegas; Went for Christmas at Circa and everyone wants a damn tip. It's no fun anymore; Bet online is my new style; Even if you lose you saved money by not tipping everyone or buying a $20 single mixed drink.

    Casinos have a lot of power and money. To think they can manipulate culture to subsidize employee compensation is laughable. The dealers deserve empathy but only so much. Their masters (casinos) are evolving to eliminate them completely with technology.

      Circa has tip share and I think westgate does too. But when I wrote tickets at the Rio , a Caesars book, there was no sharing. Overall I think sharing is more fair, but it’s still not a good paying job either way. Corporate casino owners are low life crooks IMHO

    Who exactly are you tipping?? Say you signed up at the casino, but then used app to make your selections for contest and never interact with anyone. Who exactly exactly do you feel obligated to tip 🤔

    • @dallas1love
      @dallas1love 5 днів тому +2

      Not a single person. This is one of the most insane things I have ever heard. Do the Lottery employees expect a tip if someone wins the lottery? If Circa feels their employees deserve anything related to the contest, they should remove that money up front from the total and disperse it at the end. Will that affect entries? Maybe. But stop trying to extort money from people .
