Depends on the type of fighter you are cause it also means you don't have that power side. So instead of having a killer right hook and a meg left hook you'll have an average left and right hook

I don't think it's as valuable as elite speed, reflexes or even reach since you can't teach those things but you can teach a fighter to be basically ambidextrous and fight from different stances. The motions involved in fighting generally aren't as delicate as like being able to write with both hands, and many coaches make it a point to develop ambidexterity.

Eh it’s a trade off. A switch hitter will never be as good in either stance compared to their pure counterparts.

@@mucholoko90 Bro Silva fought for a belt in his SECOND UFC FIGHT. There’s a reason no one will ever get 10+ title defenses again. You have to look at wins not title defenses for example, Volks win over Chad Mendez and Aldo which weren’t for belts shit all over Silvas average title win. In the ufc now it takes sometimes even a 10+ fight win streak to get a title shot and the level of competition is way higher now than during the dinosaur days of Silva. My top 5 is Jones, GSP, Volk, DJ and Holloway. Silva beat litteraly nobody compared to even Holloway. Don’t forget Silva also got submitted embarrassingly in pride during his prime and went on a terrible streak at the end of his career which I’m not even taking into account. But let me guess Silva fought KILLERS like forest griffin, Dan Henderson and Vitor lmao. Rewatch that fight with demian maia you will fall asleep by the 3rd I guarentee it.

There's a lot of match-up omalley would get dragged across the mat and finished. He's had handpicked fights his entire career. I’ve been striking for 14 years and I’m not the biggest Suga fan, but Sean is correct. Not to many people can power punch a good straight from either stance. It’s really really hard. Personally I think petr is the most complete striker in the ufc
