I have a question. And I wish I could show an example but, on a schematic where it has the power section at the top of the page and it shows arrows going down, is the top line positive and then all those arrows going down connect to ground? It gets confusing to me. Thanks for any help. I have email in case someone could explain. Thanks a bunch and thanks a ton for your videos.

Hi Greg, Good question. If the arrows are downward pointing and at the end of the lines, they are almost always ground. It can be a little confusing as there are a few different symbols for ground in different schematics. KiCad schematics (for pedals) usually use downward pointing arrows. In an FX Pedal circuit, all grounds should be connected.

I've built this same with these boards. I built the 2 NPN. I just wired up the PNP version and have no signal. Do i switch the positive and negative on the AC apapter? I'm only using the AC adaptor, no battery

Hi Sean, Always frustrating when there's no signal, and the positive ground is a bit of a learning curve with these older Fuzz circuits, I'll do my best to help you get it up and running. Around 9.36 in the video, when I hold up the boards, there you can see the part that says battery at the bottom has to - and + the other way around on the PNP version (right-hand side). So, carefully hook up your adaptor (I am assuming a guitar one, 9v centre negative) the other way around to the NPN. Also, double-check your electrolytic capacitors (C1 and C2), they should also be the other way around to the NPN version as noted on the PCB. Additionally, something that throws people off (including me in the past), some old PNP transistors have differing pin-outs, so again double-check Collector, Base, and Emitter pins. Let me know how you get on.
