When we assume that the voice in the second episodes that reacted to Keyleth in Brimscythe's cave was Raishan, that means she is voiced by Cree Summer.
@@kellyxiaomedia That was, most likely, Raishan. If that voice was just going to be a one-off, one of them (Critical Role) would have voiced it. A group of professional voice actors doesn't hire Cree Summer to voice just one line when they can just do it for free. That's just a waste of money. That would also add an in-story reason why The Chroma Conclave know about Vox Machina and what happened to Brimscythe and would give them the impetus to, not only, actually work together, but to become motivated to find and free Thordak. Cree being Raishan just makes too much sense from a Financial Standpoint and Narrative Standpoint.
@@ForeverDegenerate Wasn't in the actual campaign that Chroma did know about Vox Machina, and of course wanted revenge, but they also just started doing their plan of conquering, just maybe sooner because of the activity in the Brimscythe cave?
Titmouse have a good track record for not making animators crunch (which, sidebar, I'm glad someone does), so I've got faith that whatever the schedule is they'll take care of their staff! The Conclave arc is absolute peak Vox Machina for me, there's so many things I can't wait to see. I reckon they could probably close out the entire of VM's story with a couple more seasons after these three wrap up too, so hopefully we'll see it through to the end. The massive response they got to the Kickstarter makes me suspect they will! ...also, if we ever get animated Mighty Nein I'm not sure I'd ever shut up about it (or even, whisper it, animated Bell's Hells)
@Matt Ball That's all well and good, but Titmouse is just the Animation Studio. They don't control the Release Schedule. Amazon does. They funded the show, after all. Keep that in mind. We funded Season 1. Amazon funded Season 2 and 3. If Amazon says, "Produce by this date or else we pull your funding," it doesn't matter your morals or intent, you WILL force your people to produce, even if it means a crunch. That's the thing a lot of people don't realize: Time Crunch is usually forced upon a Studio (in any medium) from outside sources beyond their control. For example, it's usually not that the Development Studio wants to force their Devs to crunch, but rather they are forced to by the Publisher telling them to produce by a certain date or else. When money is involved, there's usually very little choice in the matter. If you've invested all of your company's money into a project and your company's investment partner, who is making the project possible by funding the rest of the project, threatens to pull their funding if you don't produce by a specific date, honestly, would you be willing to flush your company's entire bank account down the toilet for the sake of your Developers? Or are you going to apologize to your Developers as you tell them to crunch? As shitty as it sounds, sometimes overworking your people is the only option when you are faced with losing, literally, everything. I'm not saying Amazon would do this, but they aren't exactly known for being humanitarians or, especially recently, even caring about producing quality content. I would not put Amazon above shafting the quality of the series in order to meet a Release Schedule just to appease their investors. Especially after seeing the overwhelming success of Season 1. Let's not kid ourselves, after the debacle that is Rings of Power, it's obvious that Amazon sees far more value in the IP as opposed to the quality of the product. TLDR: I trust Titmouse. I don't trust Amazon. Amazon is in the driver seat, not Titmouse.
Actually, you bring up a very good point about the white dragon. What if they sort of merge the Voregal fight with the Slayers Take mission? So they can bring in Kashaw and Zahra in a bit more of an organic way.
I've seen a few people suggest combining these two plots since it would certainly streamline things and allow the inclusion of Kashaw and Zahra in a pretty natural way
That would be the final burial of Wil Wheaton's and Felicia Day's place in Critical Role... so yeah, given the choices they've made so far, it definitely sounds like something they would do.
@@happyslapsgiving5421 Oooo yeah, I'd love to see those two join in. Animating Wil's terrible rolling would be funny as hell and then the awesomeness of that single Nat 20. *chef's kiss* Perfection.
C1 Spoilers I’m personally hoping S2 will start with them getting their ass kicked and that leading to sending them off on the search for the vestiges without much more of the dragons getting directly featured. The wild fight with Umbrasyl would make a great animated S2 finale as their first target. That gives a full season to focus on the characters, all the big sub plots and world building while also giving room to build up the threat of these big bads.
Oh hard agree I think they are in for an ass kicking right off the bat to start things at a low boy and have the party gradually have to build themselves back up
I was thinking about how much better the dragons were looking too. Very exciting. S2 was done at the same time as S1 so I hope there will be S3 as fast but who knows
"These dragons will be a *STEP UP* from Brimscythe, and *THANK GOD!* " Lady, I'm not sure what you mean by that, but I'll have you know that none of these dragons will be voiced by David Tennant, therefore, with all due respect to Matthew Mercer, they all are a step down from Brimscythe.
As a fellow Scot and huge fan of David Tennant, I completely respect this opinion 🤣I was referring to how much the dragon animation looks to have improved, not the voice over performance
My guess is Vorugal is going to roost in the mountains near Whitestone since that means it'll be a nearby when Larkin helps out VM against the Conclave in C3.
really happy to hear there will be more to this show, means we get the time that is needed for the story to be told and shown and I don't think anyone is going to complain about more of this XD
Personally, I would prefer three seasons at mimum to cover the Chroma Conclave Arc. Four would be ideal. There's just so much content to cover that I would hate to see left on the cutting room floor.
Oh man... I didn't connect with season 2 at several points in the story that would be way more interesting animated. However everything after they got to Rosanna + Essek is my jam. I'd love to see that place in animation. Seeing Aeor would be epic too.
@@kellyxiaomedia Yea I'm a WAAAYY bigger mighty nein fan than vox machina. But I just don't see them doing it. By the time they finally finish TLOVM they'll be on to different things I'm sure.
Gimme all that sweet, sweet Vox Machina action! The Mighty Nein would be awesome as well, but if they manage to cover all of C1, and do it justice, I'll be happy.
i think they suggested that they had made the first 2 seasons together because the kickstarter had funded the first 2 seasons. So everything in season 2 is already in the can. are they making season 3 at the moment? if so, then a Jan 24 date for the season 3 premiere seems reasonable and effectively they are 18 months ahead of production from the season premiere for a potential season 4
Hello Xiao Long Media! I used to be a big fan of yours watching just your RWBY content(videos, streams, you name it), and stopped once my interest in RWBY dwindled, not that I didnt like you guys anymore but you guys no longer made content on the media I was interested in. Recently there have been extremely disturbing allegations against RT regarding discrimination to LGBTQ+, I know because it's been trending on Twitter, and I was wondering what your opinions on the matter were. I may not watch you guys anymore but I still love you guys to death and wish you happy couple the best 💖
Hey! I'm aware and have spoken about it on Twitter, it seems to be very complicated and varies greatly from department to department, there looks to be a need for deep structural change and accountability within RT, which apparently is already an ongoing process but we'll see. Certainly it's been a total mess with conflicting accounts from both former and current employees, but it's been a reminder for the community that the company is not their friend, especially as part of another massive media corp now.
