I Bond is a savings bond that earns interest based on combining a fixed rate and an inflation rate. I Bonds can be purchased through October 2022 at the current rate 9.62%. That rate is applied to the 6 months after the purchase is made. Interest is compounded semi-annually. I Bond can be purchased on the US Treasury website directly.

Hi, I opened an account at treasurydirect but they are asking me about institution's seal and stamp which is I have no idea. Is it usual? or only me? I got the reply from them like this:
" The Account Authorization (FS Form 5444) submitted is unacceptable as the form was not properly certified. Therefore, we must ask that you submit a new form with your signature properly certified.
Please note that the form's instructions to the certifying officer state, "Acceptable certifications include the financial institution's official seal or stamp (such as corporate seal, signature guarantee stamp, or medallion stamp)." Notary public stamps are unacceptable. As your form was not filled out with financial institution information or stamped, the form is unacceptable. Please have the bank place their official seal on the form to certify your signature. If the financial institution does not have an official seal or stamp to use when they certify a signature, they may use the savings bond paid stamp that they normally use when cashing savings bonds for a bond owner. We may accept:
*Signature/Endorsement Guarantee Stamp
*Medallion Stamp
*Official Bank Seal/Stamp
*Corporate Seal
*Consular Seal
*A commissioned or warrant officer of the United States Armed Forces may certify the signature.
Any stamp or seal must be visible. "

You have to go to your local bank and ask for their seal or signature guarantee stamp. I am sure they will understand if you tell them that you need it for iBond.
