This man would be alive if it wasn't for stupid American drug laws regarding Marijuana. He found a field of what is now being sold in shops in many states. He obviously was a man of integrity and stood for something. Pena is a fantastic actor! I love him, even if he always plays the Mexican or the immigrant he is still a great actor
There are certain action/drama shows that once it gets to the mid seasons, they need to push the envelope and show people just how far they can take shit....This is that season. Shit will be dark all the way through and that was done intentionally

They portrayed him like a selfish pragmatist asshole who wouldn't risk his skin for his allies, but I actually liked him better than the rest of the crew. He was the most honest about his faults, and still not a piece of shit like the rest of them (except maybe Lem).

I think the series "El Chapo" by Univision, also on Netflix, does a great job with that. Big ups to Peña and Luna though. I really like their work.
