In Berdychiv, a solemn event took place to mark the anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko.

Today, on March 9, in the city of Berdychiv, a solemn event took place to commemorate the 210th anniversary of the birth of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko. The event was attended by the mayor of Berdychiv, Serhiy Orlyuk, representatives of the Berdychiv Regional Administration, students and teachers of educational institutions in Berdychiv, the public, and the media.
Participants of the event honored the memory of the great poet by laying flowers at his monument. The youth of Berdychiv presented a theatrical performance with recitations of T.G. Shevchenko's poems.
This year, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Kharkiv Academy of Design and Arts and the State Service for Cultural Heritage Protection, developed branding for the 210th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian poet and artist, Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko.
