Tata fit and finish is very poor. I recently purchased altroz petrol, and it has multiple issues with headlamps, range , petrol flap cover etc. I will never buy tata again
The fit and finish of comet is superb. I have booked top model. It is real fun to drive. I dont plan to take it outside my city limits, so even with this range of 130-140 , i only have to charge 1-2 times /week, and pay less than Rs1 /km
@@sarikajain1606 quality control is indeed a problem with Tata but they have improved a lot. Owners need to be extremely vigilant during PDI ,but still that's not a 100% efficient solution. But mg comet feels like a toy & rather gimmicky whereas Tiago ev feels like a regular car. I've driven tigor ev and i found it's fit and finish satisfactory.
@@sarikajain1606 at the top model price, you have 2 more options. eC3 and tiago ev, and they feel like regular cars that Indians are accustomed to driving. Don't get me wrong, comet is also a good vehicle but looks childish & is impractical as it can seat only 2 whereas the other 2 options are proper 5 seaters. Safety is also a concern as comet has a small overall size and has not been tested yet.
Not sure if you got a defective car or you don't know how to drive an electric but I know people who own this car who get 180-190 km per charge with AC on at all times
I also own one my self (pace variant) I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance. The real range it offers in Eco mode with ac around level 3 out of 9, averaging around 170-185 km, is quite commendable and meets my daily commuting needs perfectly. One standout feature for me has been the powerful air conditioning system. It keeps the interior cool and comfortable even on scorching days, enhancing the overall driving experience. Note : I also have grand i10 automatic (top model) and Chevrolet enjoy 1.4 (7 seater)So, Comet is not my primary car it is third car , but for city it is my primary car and minimal highway usage For 250-300 km will use grand i10 or enjoy
Depends on your needs. If you need a city car and drive through heavy traffic the MG is a lot easier to navigate. However range is definitely a lot less and boot space is even less. The Tiago is simply the more practical choice. This is a niche product for a very specific buyer
The MG Comet EV offers significant advantages over the Tiago EV, including a longer electric range, advanced features, and a more spacious interior. With its impressive range and accommodating seating for 2 to 4 people, the MG Comet EV provides a practical and comfortable electric driving experience, making it a compelling choice for urban commuting and beyond.
@@adityaghosh4982he Tiago has a much higher range than the Comet. 311 vs 210 and a much bigger interior. The fact it can seat 5 people means it's a lot more spacious.
Hello 👋! So for driving after approx 136 kms how did you feel? Fully exhausted? Or normal and yet energetic driving in Mumbai City traffic conditions?? Please tell us that also.... Your drive in this video was entirely on Normal mode 70% and some in Eco mode near churchgate area... so what's your final verdict? The journey was okay okay types, cumbersome or pleasurable???
Eco mode never gives you maximum range, its Sports mode that gives you actual true range, sometimes more than eco mode. In lower mode, there will be more pressure on motor hence gives lesser range as compare to sporst one.

The MG Comet's range performance is commendable, providing ample electric range that allows for extended journeys with minimal charging stops within city drive, making it a reliable and convenient option for long-distance travel.
Evs are already comparatively costlier, and according to this car this range is also good. what made you think this as disaster of the product, Can you elaborate?
Thank You Rohit Sharma for taking time out from the test series and reviewing the Car..

MG Comet is a fab car, its sleek design and good range make it a perfect car for the daily commutes.

137 is pretty decent and good for urban cities. We can charge 3 times a week if you use it for daily purposes.
Intne mg comet ke video see...but. are you real rang test.... Nice bro... 120-140 normal 4seat rang test ...😂😂video
IMO, wheels should've been 14 inches and ground clearance 170 mms, given the monsoon off roads of Mumbai
Mumbai monsoon should have submarine by now😂😂
Cars with more ground clearance is also neck dipped in Mumbai monsoon, car isn't at fault
Thank you so much. I was waiting for this review for a very long time. It will definitely help me to set my expectations right.
I find this electric vehicle to be incredibly practical and well-suited for Indian traffic conditions.
Comet EV has a good range that is suitable for most city commutes.
Single person on city gives u around 135km
2 to 4 person on car on city means mileage will be in two digits...is it worth over Tiago EV ?

People here are just commenting to defame the brand unnecessarily, they have no knowledge about the car, half of them are paid by the competitiors
130 isn't the range first of all, 230km is what the company claims, and for city focused car that is more than enough, no other ev does that
I've used it for 1100 km now . I got the full 230 km on Highway without AC and 65kmph limit and according hard acceleration.
I also have no problem with slow safer charging as the car is parked idle whole night. The decent range means i charge 2-3 nights a week.

God what a hassle. will be the last person to shift to EVs
137km only😮😮😮😮
Whats the cost per km?
From the charging cost in the beginning and the total distance covered the total cost per km is ₹1.65
Hybrid is the way to go
Why launch such cars when it is written on the wall it's fate😮
Because India needs more of such innovative cars
It was necessary to launch car like Comet to take a break form old age cars
To bring a revolution in the ev market
