Ruger Mk IV 75th Anniversary Edition Pistol

Ruger Mk IV 75th Anniversary Edition Pistol chambered in 22 LR.Beautiful firearm but I expected better from Ruger when it came to promoting an anniversay edition product.But anyway I do a quick over view & take my 1st shots with it.

I bought one about 3 months ago and use it in our Tuesday night 22 indoor league.. Pretty happy with it,, pretty accurate. I have a Romeo red dot on top..

I have this pistol and I also have the Smith & Wesson Victory. The Ruger's sights are vastly inferior to hi viz fiber optic sights on the Victory. There's no excuse, given there's about a $90 price difference. In addition, the Victory is stainless steel. I will admit that the takedown is slightly easier on the Ruger, and the grips on the Ruger are wood and more attractive than the cheap looking plastic grips on the Victory. Bottom line: out of the box, the Victory is a true target pistol whereas I will have to spend extra to get sights that are the equal of the sights on the Victory.

My buddy got the 75th anniversary 10/22 , with lighter wood stock . It looks nice , but it only had a 75 sticker also and nothing extra . Haven't seen any of the other anniversary modes yet. These are nice pistols though, picked up a older one last year

Excellent review. You covered all we need to know. I agree with you about the packaging,. I have a 50th aniversary Mark III i think, and it has an awesome red plastic box that would of been nice with this gun. Cant wait to get one. Thanks
