Yeah man, I just rediscovered this for the first time since its release when I was only 22 and I'm drowning in nostalgia while keeping this on repeat. Sounds so fresh, yet a sound that is unmistakably & sadly absent from the current popular music Zeitgeist.
Joel knows what he'd doing down to the sine wave and then some. If you've ever watched one of his streams where he explains something as simplistic as compressions you'll know he's a musician who GRINDS. Hard grinds vocabulary, math, catchy tunes, anything that makes his music stand well for speakers from mono to full concert speaker setups. Most of his music is put into the vault nowhere to be seen.

Gerard Way's voice has always been my favorite. In mcr, in Hesitant Alien, in this. In everything he does. But for the sake of mainstream radio he should do more collaborations with popular artists like this, far more often. His voice needs to be heard more.

Something about this whole album just has a _feel_ to it. Nostalgic, slightly stressful, melancholy.. I love artists like Deadmau5 who give two s***s about what notes they're playing (and what lyrics they use). A lot of music nowadays isn't that great. (dubstep, trap, I'm looking at you.) Most dubstep songs sound like noisy rhythm studies. Anything trap, as well as some other songs, has to be played loudly to be heard enjoyably. This, I can be listening to while still being able to hear the person next to me chatting (although that amazing refrain melody makes me want to turn it up).

I can't believe this was released 9 years ago
first time when i heard this song was in asphalt 8 (can't say the year for sure, but probably 2015). Then i really fell in love with this one in 2019 (yeah, masterpieces sometimes take much time to reveal their true beauty) and even now, in 2023, i still return to this one sometimes, even though it was removed from asphalt 8. Ngl, this song seems to be timeless, and even our kids may remember of it.
