Thank you for highlighting this. I haven’t yet seen Life in Vibe’s take. Tim keeps opening doors that give us a peek at who he really is. Him being a misogynist shouldn’t surprise anyone but his female subscribers need to pay close attention.

When our children were young, my wife was a stay at home mom (for 10 years) still, during that time I did my fair share of house cleaning, food prep and diaper changes. I did this while working full time and did side hustles because we had a mortgage to pay and 2 small mouths to feed and clothe. While not an expert, far from it, but I have read and studied personal finance to excess and I can say with certainty that Tim has no clue what he is doing with money. I also have been a student of the Bible for almost 50 years and again not an expert, but I know what behavior is Biblical and what behavior is not Biblical. As a sinner saved by Gods amazing grace, I tread here lightly, but Tim's chit chat devotionals and his general lifestyle is at odds with the Scriptures.

Why would anybody take financial advice from someone without basic math skill, I seen him fail at trying to figure out how much 25 gallons of water would weigh if it was 8 pounds a gallon, seen him say that a camp site at $300 a week would be 50 or 60 dollars a night, and his latest math problem was that his air conditioner would only cool his trailer down 20 degrees cooler than the outside temperature, he said it was 113 degrees outside, and he didn't know what 113 minus 20 was, but he knew it was hot.😂

Always a competition against men, women getting jealous bc I stood next to " their man on stage," even got my hair pulled to see if was a wig. Harassed while loading up my equipment at night. On breaks, sometimes I'd have to go hide in the women's bathroom stall to stay safe til it was time to continue playing music. Women still have to try Harder, for much less respect than a man doing the same job.

@@davdd.8760 I think you are referring to OASDI, not SSI. We have no way of knowing what Tim made in his career as he clearly lies. He may be exaggerating about having worked only 2-3 hours a day, 2-3 days a week.
I helped my husband build our first house - He taught me how to run wire and we joked all the switches and phones worked. We both had our careers and worked full time in our respective offices - after work and weekends we built our home from the ground up with a minimum of outside contractors.
Second house we restored a 120 year old home - He taught me to glaze windows and I rebuilt and glazed 20 double hung windows. Together we stripped the exterior lap siding. I also learned how to repair and replace the interior plaster walls.
It was all hard work but my husband never considered me a 'weak woman' - We were a team.
I find lazy, manipulative, begging, whining, lecherous old men repulsive, pitiful and pathetic.

We were a great team - He was smart, hardworking, could make or repair about anything. Great sense of humor and a wonderful cook.
We each understood that it took a lot of work to make a marriage succeed and never took each other for granted.
Exactly. I took Shop Training in High School. I was the only girl in the class. What we did was learn how to change the oil in a car and some other things like How to Hang a Picture, Put up blinds, do minor things around a home. I was laughed at by everyone including women. This was in the 70s so it was a different time. I think those classes should still be offered and both men and women be required to take those classes. I've seen him be vile, misogynistic, and yes I seen him make a racist comment but the video was taken down soon afterwards. Another one I wish someone had saved. I've been watching LifeinVibe this week as she's doing a reaction video to Tim's videos he uploads for one week. I know she is worn out. That's a good way to see his videos without giving him a view. I'm trying to get away from him but I admit it's like a train wreck I can't turn away. I hope one day I'll have the strength to not care what he's doing. I know I never did a response to your question. I don't hate Tim and the main reason I keep doing videos on him is because the subject is helping me grow my beauty audience. UA-cam never recommended my videos for beauty because I'm not the demographic and I don't have an agent. Most of the large mature beauty channels have agents or youtube coaches and they can be pushed to the front. Thanks Howard for the video and pointing out the way he talks.

I am a woman. I have no interest in being a mechanic, a firefighter, or a deep sea welder. I work with female law enforcement officers. Most of them are preoccupied with their manicures and talk about their babies all day in front of the public. Police girls. Recently looked at one of Tim's videos he said had to move since RV location raised the rent thinking about part-time gig. Everyone's retirement is there choice but collecting 62 not always the best for some of us. As I write looked at my check SS at 62 and That will not work as what I am going to do with Health care expenses? All the retire early preaching best to filter info here on You tube as some People are loosing their jobs cannot get rehired. Then use the 401k 55 rule to live and say I retired at 55 which is a good option to have then going homeless. Or is it?

I'm an independent, girly-girl and I probably appreciate chivalry too much to be called a femninst 😅 BUT after watching a few of ST's videos a few months ago, the "ICK" vibe from him was strong. He's seemed to be that dude whose locker room chat at his Planet Fitness centers around "why buy the cow when the milk is free." The topic could be personal relationships or financial targets; it seems all the same to him. That may be a callous; guesstimate on my part. I don't know the guy. I just didn't like his demeanor in the videos I watched (ugh, time I will never have back@), and what he spolie about seemed to be non-informative. Thank you for calling this out, Howard. i usually agree with you often, and also think we would agree that sparing a large account balance in some form of savings, for a person with little to no pension or reoccurring income stream it would definitely be advisable to extend your your retirement age out if possible to get an amount, that one would feel more comfortable. And for that I agree that channels like Sarasota Tim are not doing a good service for people with a delicate stage of retirement savings. But as a father of two wonderful professional women, I don't see any harm in the comments brought forth in the video samples you demonstrated. Sarasota Tim was raised in a different era that both of us know had certain views that are seen as unpopular today. But people in this country and elsewhere need to stop carrying a chip on their shoulder and stop looking for something to attack in someones video or comments, I hope you stop the petty criticisms, and focus on continuing to provide more relevant information relating to retirement financials, but hey its your channel, you do you its a free country at least for the time being.

Not defending Tim as he's doing a great job at generalizing the sexes but men and women are different and both bring good things to the table. Here's an example, I've worked with a non profit for years that gets donated bikes, cleans and fixes them up to give away to needy families. Volunteers can sign up to be cleaners or mechanics and most women sign up as cleaners. We encourage women to help fix the bikes. We have only 1 lady out of hundreds of volunteers that actually want to fix the bikes. No one is turning anyone away so this is just one example but the bottom line is one has to have a passion for the job to begin with. My wife prefers to do the cooking because she enjoys it, I like the typical physical stuff like cutting the grass, taking care of our cars, I even do the dishes and clean the house. Good luck!

Most of it is physically demanding and often times performed in hot conditions (I'd guess you believe in Climate Change so this becomes even more germane). You can certainly cherry pick some stuff that is not - for example troubleshooting a thermostat, but day in and day out you need to be able to perform hot, dirty, physical jobs. It's all a moot point anyway because in an egalitarian society women rarely choose these career paths - not because of prejudice, but because they simply don't want to do them. They have other options that they prefer which is fine.

But make no mistake, the day before they were at your house they were wedged in some attic or crawlspace trying to wrestle with a wire or some 65 year old black pipe that wouldn't come apart. If you can't do all the jobs, your value goes down.
BTW did you know that women have better fine motor control so they make better hand surgeons? Because the muscles and bones are smaller, the hand is easier for women to deal with. Now that is an area where women can move the needle. They work faster and get better results. This makes me think women would be faster at trimming out a thermostat or other control wiring because those wires as so small. But pulling a service drop for an industrial building? Forget about it.

I think doing a job is based on your interest and your ability. Your DNA controls a lot of this, and males lean strongly to some jobs, and women lean strongly to different jobs. I don't like women doing some jobs, like basic cops on the street, most military positions, or even firefighters. Tests have been downgraded to allow unqualified women in these roles and they fail frequently. Many jobs it should be a don't care, other than meeting the job requirements. Women with young children often miss work a lot, and that is not compatible with some jobs..

I am not making excuses for his views, but, I imagine the vast majority of his viewers are nearing retirement age. As such, they may be more aligned with his mindset than you. Not everyone in that age group is "enlightened". So, many think of professions as more gender specific. Remember, the older generation is still pretty "traditional" on cultural norms. Is that wrong? Well, it's certainly discriminatory and misogynistic, but, Tim and many others are just products of their environment. Evolution takes time. So, until a generation or two leaves the shallow end of the gene pool, you'll still have some neanderthals in circulation.
