- Adam Lambert is happy to see "American Idol" adjust to challenging circumstances. The "Idol" alum tells Access Hollywood's Sibley Scoles via Zoom why he finds the singing competition's new at-home format amid the coronavirus pandemic "fascinating" and a potential way to discover a new kind of performer. Adam also details rerecording Queen's classic "We Are The Champions" as "You Are The Champions," and dedicating the new version to frontline workers. In addition, the singer discusses auctioning his most iconic stage wear for bidding on eBay through May 6, all proceeds of which will go to GLAAD, and the heartwarming feedback he's gotten from Queen bandmates on how they believe he and the late Freddie Mercury would have gotten along. And, Adam jokes he may join Tinder when quarantine is over!

Liz G. It probably was better being second. He wasnt tied into that idol contract. Clarkson had some problems too with the contract. It gave him some freedom to do his own projects. Last year there was a rumor that Alejandro was telling his fans to not vote for him because he didnt want that idol contract. He wanted to be free to do his own thing. Im happy idol found such an incredible talent.

I think any one would love to interview Adam he is such an easy person to listen to you could literally listen to him all day he is just the most decent person in the world not many in the music business can have that reputation he has always been true to himself and never lets his fans down and the new version of We Are The Champions is just simply beautiful and if you don't get a lump in your throat watching the clip than you must not be human all I can say is "Bravo" to you Adam and Queen love you all from Australia xxx

I’m getting so much fun and enjoyment from watching Adam do these interviews and performances from his home. Also seeing once again just what a beautiful person he really is makes me feel very humble and definitely brings out the feel good factor. He’s Adam, he’s down to earth and compassionate and understanding and extremely caring. It also makes me realize yet again just why I love him as much as I do. Of course the fact that he’s totally gorgeous and has the best voice ever is another reason. 🥰😍❤️❤️❤️💚

Great interview. I have a friend who is an ICU nurse from San Francisco, now deployed to a reservation in the Navajo nation. I sent the video of the song to her. They loved it there. how can people say the pandemic is "bringing people together?" you can just look around and obviously see that the world is more divided now than ever before. are people really that blind? yes the whole world is going through it at the same time but that doesn't mean we are all best friends all of a sudden. tbh, it's the exact opposite. there is more hatred and chaos in the world now than before 2020.
