Mike Lamb is an excellent choice for the position.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I don't mean any offense, but Mike Lamb doesn't know what he's doing. If there is a staffing shortage, hire retired seniors with a miltary background, and vet them. We will glady enforce the law in Asheville in numbers that criminals won't be happy about.
Police work is harder than most people realize. It can be a psychologically difficult and unrewarding job. A lot of candidates don't even make it through the basic training.
When you add to that the fact that APD put in a huge effort to become CALEA certified, and even established their own academy with a more rigorous standard than the state's Basic Law Enforcement training, it becomes obvious why most candidates aren't a good fit for the department.

When I was younger and working as a security guard at the Asheville Mall I had the pleasure of working with Mike in his role as an off-duty officer. I have never met a more professional yet compassionate officer in my life. I am so happy to see him in this role.
