I’m sure if Tywin had another daughter he’ll arrange her to Marry the head of White Walkers to form an alliance. Just to keep the family on top and feared.
When Brienne calls out to the guards in the bath scene is such a metaphorically resonant moment. Sir Jaime Lannister, the Kingslayer, has literally just finished explaining his biggest secret, how he saved the kingdom, and how for 17 years he's been wrongly reviled for this actually heroic act. And then he sort of faints in the tub, and Brienne has to call for help. And what does she say? "Come help! The *Kingslayer*!" It's a name that defines Jaime, that casts him as the villain, a role he's been playing for 17 years ever since. Even though he's just explained how it's actually all bullsh*t, Brienne can't help herself, she uses it without even thinking; it's simply the name everyone knows him by. And then he cries weakly, "Jaime. My name...is Jaime." In that moment, he's trying, feebly, to throw off the reputation that has haunted him for years, all because he did the right thing.
A little disappointed you guys didn't discuss the Kingslayer scene. One of the best scenes in the entire show and a seminal moment for Jaimie's character and his story arc
They don't discuss a lot of things. Their reactions on the first two seasons were great, they were excited, creating theories etc, but something's changed, now they talk much less after the episodes, barely saying anything interesting. Hey Stefani, you are so sneaky with your questions of predictions to "Kiss by fire". ------- Just looking at your facial reactions to their crazy thoughts just makes the reaction so much better. Keep them coming.
I like Jaime giving context to the Kingslayer, but him keeping that story largely a secret because he *felt* prejudged by Ned is like refusing to testify to argue self defense in your own murder trial because the cops arrested you when they arrived at the crime scene. Jaime *allowed* Ned to control the narrative and didn't bother to set anyone straight once Robert was on the throne. Even though he killed the king for a good reason, him being called names is 100% the consequences of his own (in)actions.
Jamie didn’t help his case When Ned found him lounging on the Iron Throne next to the dead body of the Mad King. I doubt Ned would have believed anything Jamie told him at that point. And I think Jamie rather enjoyed his infamy and the Kingslayer moniker. It is a pretty kickass nickname

Robb should have let Lord Karstark take the black and join the Nightwatch instead of executing him. That’s considered an honorable punishment in the North and the Karstark soldiers might have stayed in Robb’s army. Robb made the same mistake that Joffrey when he had Ned beheaded.
Steph, that eye-roll was amazing, almost as good as the facial reactions (or lack thereof) to the musings. One thing I’ve always thought was interesting and this may be a continuity error is did you recognize that Stanis’ daughter, Shireen has blonde hair? If you remember Ned Stark, based on the Great Book of Houses, determined that Joffrey was Jamie and Cersei’s because Joffrey had blonde hair and every Baratheon listed in the book had black of hair. But, here we have Robert’s brother, Stanis, black of hair and his wife, black of hair, produce a dirty, blonde hair child which goes against the Book of Houses - Baratheon - black hair lineage. So, if Robert’s brother and wife can produce a dirty blonde hair child - then why couldn’t Robert (black hair) and Cersei (blonde hair) produce a blonde hair child? One possible solution is as Shireen is kept locked up maybe she was never observed and added to the Book of Houses so no one knew a Baratheon blonde of hair- or - maybe only men are in the book. I only seem to remember Ned reading men’s names. But, Shireen’s dirty blonde hair is a potential debunk that maybe, just maybe, some of Cersei’s children are Roberts???
Firstly, Selyse's hair is a sort of dirty blondish/light brown colour, not black. Secondly, Robert and Cersei could certainly have produced a blond child. It just so happened that all Robert's bastards had black hair and none of his trueborns did. That seemed like quite a coincidence if it were really just a coincidence, but it wasn't proof. Jon Arryn was merely investigating a possibility. The scene where Ned reads the book doesn't show Ned finding proof that Joffrey is a bastard. It shows Ned realising what Jon had been investigating. The single most substantial piece of evidence against Joffrey, the thing that made Ned certain enough to confront Cersei about it, was the realisation that Jon had been murdered for investigating it. Until that moment, Ned wasn't even convinced that Jon was murdered -- that was what Ned's own investigation had been about, trying to find out if Lysa's claim that the Lannisters had murdered him could be true. When he realised what Jon had been investigating, it clicked for him why the Lannisters would have murdered him: because he was unto something about Joffrey's parentage
