Enjoy your medtech student journey! Took medtech because they said that it’s the best pre med course but after graduating, i decided to not take medicine anymore! I’ve been amazed on essential medtechs are. Doctors rely on us so they can treat their patients! Just loosen up & dont be too hard on yourself. I’ve been a tech for more than 10 years now and its really rewarding! 😊

This is very relatable and true haha.
But just a piece of advice to anyone who wants to do medtech in the future is that please prepare emotionally and mentally. It is a very draining course and if you don't want to compromise your mental health please don't force yourself. If you are being forced/influenced by family and friends to "just" do it even if it's not really your first choice, I think it would be very helpful if you'd rethink that decision. I'm really sorry if this comment sounds so negative haha i guess all i'm saying is, if you're not emotionally stable don't place yourself in certain situations where you will regret or worse blame others in the future, kasi Medtech is tough and man it won't get any easier, it would just become more tough.

my aunt suggested me this course medtech and i am pretty negative abt myself bc i am not good at science. I am confused what course to take, sadly bc i am uncomfortable choosing courses yet. I'm incapable of this course :(((
i think in any course it will not always be the ups but as well as the downs, It’s just a matter of fact how you will handle for you studies and how will you feel inspired and realy eager to pursue something. Fighting everyoneee

Saw this vid again watched it before actually being a freshie in mt, and honestly she said everything you should expect. It is indeed tiring yet fulfilling everytime you actually know something na hindi mo eexpect sa sarili mo, especially when you study to the point na nakakahilo na tignan ang transes 🙀 its true na we are often disregarded kahit tayo ang main reason bakit may diagnosis ang doctors. Anw i need ro review again for pmls just wanted to motivate myself again kung bakit ko to pinili! Pdayon future rmts’
BS Medtech is really mentally tiring lalo na nung nag online class pero for me, nakaka-enjoy siya if you are studying with your friends. I miss Face to Face!!! Goodluck mga ka-tusok :)

Just looking the way she talks I feel her sobrang mentally exhausting ng course na to that's why she said na nagkakaproblema siya with her own kaya nilalabas na lang nya to with her friends gladly she had someone na malalapitan. And halos yung time mo mapunta na lang sa pag aaral, time management is very important here sobrang danas ko yan uuwi ng 11-12pm then kinabukasan may quiz kung hindi dalawa tatlo so pag uwi magrereview ka pa while gumagawa ng assignments minsan papasok ng walang tulog kaya sobrang nakakastress but in the long run masasanay ka. I'm irreg student pa yep sobrang hirap ng profession na to yet hindi tayo masyadong naappreciate ng government natin since mababa nga mostly sahod ng mga medtech sobrang taas ng tution fee sa med school tapos yung sahod mo🙂 you need to pass the board exam pa para mas madaling makahanap ng trabaho where infact pag nag apply ka sa government institution mahirap makapasok unless you have someone you know and problem din natin sa bansa yung "job mismatch" kaya maraming kapwa nating medtech ang nahihirapan maghanap ng trabaho like 10 medtechs ang mag aagawan sa isang position that's why medyo panget mag pursue ng ganitong course dito sa pinas unless you want to pursue medicine. I'm not descouraging anyone but this is the reality of us (medtechs)✌️❤️ I don't have regret taking this cause I really like science talaga stress and enjoyable at the same time💖 pandayon mga katusok🥳
Hello Ate! Actually I just stumbled across your vid while I was resting from studying. I am an upcoming freshman with the same course and I feel really really anxious since July na and malapit na ang pasukan sa August. I also already know that this course will be very hard and draining (as what I have been told, have read and what I have felt). Your video really helped me place my feet on the ground especially right now wherein I kept on pressuring myself (mainly because I feel anxious). Your thoughts and insight about this course really feels so comforting to know and it reminded me na it's okay to feel this way. After all, we're only humans. Good luck on your journey, Ate! Incoming grade 12 student and medical tech yung course na napili ko and now Im mentally drain dahil STEM kinuha ko na strand, but yung video mo po namotivate ako lalong magaral esp sobrang hirap ng medtech. So atleast ngayon may mga idea na ako lalo po kung gaano talaga kahirap ang MT. I'm new to your channel and yes, it really helps po. ☺

I'm a nursing student about to switch to medtech cause I'm really just not for long term socializing with so many people. Besides, medtech was my first choice anyways before I kinda got pressured by my family to go to nursing. Thank you for this video!

Ate, i just wanted to open up i just chose nursing but still medtech bothers me is that a sign to shift in second sem? The reason why i chose nursing is just because the tuition fee financially is higher than nursing but when i saw the tf in higher years nursing is very expensive in the higher years than medtech inisip ko masyado dinamdam ko masyado yung reaction ng parents ko when they knew its very high costly but still i just chose nursing but my heart still in medtech i just wanted to know if it is a sign for me to shift and i wish my parents give me a chance to.

There is a senator that he wanted to give us attention, high salary and I think (if I’m not mistaken) he right a bill para sa mga medtech kaso di siya ata kaalyado ni pres.D kaya di siya maapprove and up until now sobrang natabunan na siya sa table ni pres.😭 siya lang yung tanging senator na pumapansin satin! 2nd yr nursing student here and about to shift medtech, nakakapagod ang nursing hahahaha
OMG ateeeee, PSYCHIATRY din po balak kong kunin na specialization sa med school since yun talaga dream profession ko huhu!! na shock me huhu sign na ba ito na mag shishift akooooo!!!! Currently po kasi BSNED course ko (Special Needs Education) for practicality purposes na rin. BS Psych sana kaso mahirap makahanap ng work eh may iba akong mga kakilala na nag take na lang ng methods for teaching (I mean I admire and appreciate the teaching profession din dahil both parents ko ay teachers, pero ewan ko kasi parang di sya para sakin). So ayun, yung plano ko po kasi magwowork muna ako for 2 years at least after I graduate... maghahanap ng experience choss. Tas noon pa man na consider ko na po ang Medtech na maging pre-med, luckily din 2 aunts ko Medtech graduates hehe skl po. Pero ngayon talaga gulong gulo po ako AS IN, madalas na ako ma brain fog huhuhu parang gusto ko mag aral ng intense science kenemelin kahit na I'm not particularly good at it (chemistry), basta fave subj. lang po ganun. Huhu the struggle is REAL wala akong mapagsabihan :'
Hi Keisha! Actually kung di ako nagkakamali madaming job opprtunities yung BS Psych!! Not only sa med related pero even in business! Kung di ako nagkakamali yung HR (human relations) positions are filled in uby BS/AB Psych graduates! :))
Sa totoo lang di rin ako magaling sa chem kaya doble aral talaga! And kakayanin naman! Pero if u want, bigay ako konti advice, choose a course na alam mo magiging happy ka sa future, and you can see yourself doing for a long time! Everything will fall into place in time! Pray over it lang and consider mo lahat ng options mo! :))

Personally I think kaya naman siya as long as open minded kayo, and willing to learn! If it helps, not all of my blockmates nagtake ng STEM/HA strand. Talagang mahirap ang MT na course pero if you study & try hard enough kakayanin siya!

Hi Maybell! I also took tvl strand and yeah currently I'll be a 3rd yr student as medtech. It's okay na kabahan, mapapaisip ka na advance sayo mga magiging kaklase mo na stem yung strand but always remember why you want to be a medtech? What was the purpose or your reason why you have to be a medtech?
Lagi mo rin tatandaan na wala sa talino yan, nasa sipag at tyaga ang pag-aaral. And lastly, always put God in the center of your life. God bless you Future RMT❤️✨

Super kaya mag MT even if you took GA in senior high! Although may slight edge somehow yung STEM, youll be taught everything you need naman by your profs, or you can read it from reviewers and transes! You have to double effort lang especially if competitive yung school that you choose in the future!

Torn between medtech and nursing :((

They are both in demend pero it depends sa skills mo yan, if more on active and social work choose nursing, if laboratory work and critical thinking piliin mo medtech. Exhausting ang dalawang course if nurse physically and mentally naman ang medtech. Choose wisely hun future medtech here.
Hi Luke & Jhanna! Personally, I think it depends on what your plan is for the future and what exactly you want to do. Medtech and Nursing are both GREAT courses! From what I know nursing studies similar (but not exactly) subjects as MT, but the difference is that MT students study certain subjects at length.
If choosing a course with it being your endgame meaning not going on to med school, I think you should consider if you want to be in or out of the laboratory, and that will probably be a deciding factor. Nurses spend time interacting with patients more, while medtechs, although there is also interaction, is way less, and work more in labs. Either way they are both careers which are in demand and are very honorable!
If you are set to move on to med school, both these courses will have their own set of pros too! so, in the end, it is really up to what you want to do :>

So yes it is okay and u can definitely do it! Back to zero din naman kayo lahat, pati nga yung galing sa STEM na amnesia na sa topics nila noon eh. Double effort lang din sa first year to familiarize urself back to science! kaya mo yaaan

Hi! Pagmababa quizzes malaking hatak siya sa grade pero pwede bawiin in tests, and other outputs! Pero as much as possible dapat at least passing yung grades! Sa professors naman depende! May terror pero may hindi naman rin :))

Hello po ate, I’m currently 1st year civil eng here at SLU Baguio and plan ko na mag shift to premed course because since birth my dream was to be a doctor pero kaya ko tinake ang civil dahil 4 yrs course lang siya and 10 yrs ang doctor:(. Is it a good decision po ba to shift to medtech and transfer ng school sa manila because UST or LA SALLE is my dream school din po kasi. Also, nanghinayang din kasi ko sa panahaon if mag shift ako, baka mapagiwanan ako:(
