To hear Layne do Chewie, watch Wookie for Christmas :)
It took me watching this several times on my own and then watching several reactors watch this one for me to realize that during the Beetlejuice theme, after J slaps the metal plate over Layne's mouth, his beatboxing is still going on but they made it sound muffled because his mouth was covered. I love VP's attention to detail. 😆
I’m pretty sure Layne’s behaviour at the beginning is because he has nothing to do during the Harry Potter song. (Yes, I know he does sing and we always love it when he does, but he’s not able to do his “thing” i.e. beatbox then)
But yes, also for the comedy 😂
By the way, I'm willing to bet that all of the incidental voices are Eli. All of them. He's an amazing mimic. The other guys may have just mimed making them. But Eli is the voicemaster, here. :)
It’s so much fun. All those movie scores are great. Fun to see Rob in it too as he’s a movie buff. 🥰
I thought he was a great feature artist for this one since he has a movie podcast with a friend.
I'm an Avid Indoorsmen patron and they put out new podcasts every couple of weeks. They sometimes have the other members of Home Free on as guests. Definition entertaining.
you have to hear them doing Wookie for christmas it’s insane and you w love it! ❤🏴
And when Christmas comes you’ll also need to do their “Mission Impossible “ & “Jingle Bells” mashup as well!
This one is really fun!! Voctave did a movie medley of all scores composed by John Williams. I probably won’t stop recommending Voctave until you react to them 😂 But you got enough requests in your last Voiceplay reaction, surely you will!
The Great Movie Medley is arguably Voctave's best work. And yes, if you make a list of movies that have amazingly good music, almost all of them will have music by John Williams (and the rest will be Disney movies, or maybe one will be a former Broadway musical that went to Hollywood). I think Williams has written more great music than the next half dozen film score composers added together.
Can't wait for this! I love what VoicePlay did with this! And if you like this, check out Voctave's "Great Movie Medley" (tribute to John Williams, all movie themes written by the man himself).
Rob is so talented! I love that the men in Home Free can sing with anyone/any group they wish in their down time. BTW, Rob is an avid movie lover (In their video "Quarantine" he's reading "1000 Movies to Watch"). I don't think you've seen HFs video "Spaceship" featuring Rob and his family - it's just terrific. If you want to see Rob beatbox, watch HFs live video "9-5 Beatboxing Breakdown". Thanks for playing this one & your comments.
This is my favorite of their ACA Top 10 videos! Watching you react to it made my day! See ya in the next one!
PS - J None just got a promotion & is now stationed on the east coast, much closer to VP & his home! Also, the promotion comes with a new Navy band - Chanters - and get this - he will be singing BASS!!! 😱
LOVE YA!
Layne does Chewy in what do you get a Wookie for Christmas. Save for your Christmas set.
Layne’s the muggle of the group. He dislikes HP. Loved seeing you react to this. These reactions always make my day and make me smile. Thank you!❤
This is a super fun one. I love when they do Aca Pop anything. Enjoyed watching your reaction to these songs.
This was so much fun on the live (as always) and it was just as much fun watching back. This was such a happy group of songs too, loved watching you get excited!
SOOOOOO many John Williams scores make the top ten
I love how the Acapella community are friends, including Peter Hollens.
I cannot hear Mission Impossible theme without now hearing VoicePlay's Mission Impossible: Jingle Bells
"It would take too long to watch 10 movies..." That sounds like the words of a quitter...
I've listened to some of his movie podcast with Beuges (the dude in the overalls in the Butts Remix). It's called The Avid Indoorsmen, and if you like movies, it's pretty good. They haven't done an episode in a couple years, though (or at least hadn't the last time I looked).
I have only listened to a couple of them, but they are hysterical. They do games and have guests. They did one of the Lord of the Rings movies with Adam Rupp as the guest. Nerd alert.
No, they're still going strong. Whatever podcast listening software you're using may not be doing their stuff anymore.
@@kmwwrench Whenever they get either of the Adams on, it's just a nerd-fest. Reilly Zamber (the Hound half of The Hound + the Fox) as well.
Keaton and Nicholson are the _quintessential_ Batman and the Joker. The end
This is my favorite of the ACA Top Ten's. It is just too cool.
According to Tim Hanks in the movie You Got Mail, when in doubt follow the advice of The Godfather. Of course, that's comedic advice
To see another a cappella movie theme song medley (specifically John Williams) check out Voctave's !
I love that VP made them their own; where as I also love that Voctave kept theirs more traditional.
I
Hey Rob!! Very fitting for the huge movie buff that Rob is!!
This was so much fun. I knew you would like it. I can't wait till the next video. See you later.
Love your reaction. Thank you for my smile today.
The good, the bad, the ugly😂❤😊❤
John Williams and Danny Elfman: THE BEST movie score composers alive.
DJ, please keep Geoff & his family in your prayers as they are stuck at home with Covid.
It was Rob that said "when you have to shoot, shoot."
I love the ACA Top 10s, thanx for doing this one!
Glad you enjoyed this as I have already seen this.
Ive never seen the Godfather either. Ive only seen Harry Potter, parts of Bettlejuice, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars
Mine too!!❤❤❤ love your reactions to this😊
OMG you need to see The Gog Father!
This was so very awesome. Having Rob in there was awesome! Love your reaction!
Straight No Chaser competed in The Sing Off Season 2 and besides some super funny songs/videos you should wait to react to until the Holiday season where they kind-of-sort-of poke fun at multiple religions, you should react to THEIR “Movie Medley.” They actually dress up in costumes and have pathetic green screen images going on! I think it would be right in your wheelhouse!!!
You should react to some starkid musical songs, especially The Guy, who didn't like musicals and twisted
So much fun! Really glad you're getting to enjoy their ACA Top-10 stuff!
Dang - your tattoo is amazing!
Do you know about The Avid Indoorsmen Robs movie podcasts
Re: Batman. I'm in love with the Tim Burton ones. They stand out, and I think it's because they aren't really about Batman. The focus is mainly on the villains, specifically Michelle Pfeiffer(sp????)'s Catwoman and Jack Nicholson's Jack Nicholson. He wasn't acting, he's just LIKE that and all Burton had to do was turn him loose and follow him around with a camera. ALL Jack Nicholson's Jack Nicholson movies are about Jack Nicholson because Jack Nicholson always plays Jack Nicholson and Jack Nicholson's Jack Nicholsons are terrifying and badass at the same time. All work and no play makes Jack NIcholson Jack Nicholson Jack Nicholson.
One more Jack Nicholson!
Jack Nicholson!
Jack Nicholson!
Jack Nicholson!
Jack Nich.........
................
.......
..............*whisper* Jack Nicholson.
#8 the good the bad and the ugly
Loved this!! Made me laugh!! Thanks DJ!❤
The western was THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY.
You can hear Layne's wookie voice here (and a bonus wookie at the end): ua-cam.com/video/lN_a8Wfm_YU/v-deo.html
I love your reactions but I like a new song from the Live Action One Piece that will do as only a music things called My Sails Are Set (feat. AURORA) | One Piece | Official Soundtrack | Netflix but love your channel as fellow Aussie.
I haven't seen "The Godfather" either. I knew the music, but the horses head in the bed stops me every time I think about watching it.
I am guessing that the deal with Layne during the Harry Potter theme, is that there wasn't any beat boxing to do, and they decided to have fun with it.
Honestly, the title "best Batman movie" is not nearly as competitive as "worst Batman movie". There have been a lot of really *dumb* Batman movies made over the decades. More, I think, than any other superhero, and that is saying something, because terrible superhero movies was an entire genre for decades and has now become the majority of what Hollywood does.
I've never watched any of the Godfather movies straight through from start to finish either. I've probably seen bits and pieces of some of them when walking through rooms where other people were watching them, but I never actually sat down and watched any of them myself. Frankly, they're not especially high on my list of movies that I ought to get around to watching at some point. I've also still never seen Citizen Kane, or the Passion, or Frozen, or Encanto, or Braveheart, or Princess and the Frog, or Lilo & Stitch, and I've only seen a few short bits of Tonari no Totoro, and all of those would rank higher on my TODO list than the Godfather. Not sure if Mad Max might also beat it out; I'm not a huge fan of post-apocalyptic flicks in general, but mafia movies aren't top of my list either. Anything with Josephine Hull in a major role, that I haven't already seen, would be top of my list. Her acting is absolutely in a class by itself in both of the movies I *have* seen with her in them (Harvey and Arsenic & Old Lace). Especially in Harvey. Vita Louise is one of the most inherently difficult roles in the history of film, and she pulls it off absolutely flawlessly.
I’ve never seen The Godfather either.
Please tell me you got arround to watching the Godfather, at least the first one. It's the best of them all
I guess during Harry Potter, layne can't do anything and thats why he is so against it :D
The third movie is "the good, the bad, the ugly" one of my favourite western movies ^^"
10? I'm sorry, friend, if we did this as a marathon I would not just be doing one out of each series... Although 3 star wars, 3 indianas, maybe the first 5 potters, 3 jps... No, this is a WHOLE WEEKEND. Rent or buy a projector, invite friends, buy a dozen cases of soda, make a ton of popcorn... it you are going to do this, you have to do it like you mean it.
I've never seen the godfather either. I probably never will. It's not really something that appeals to me.
I have also never seen The Godfather. I really don't like 'mob' movies. Just...don't. So yeah. No. :)
I love watching everyone's face when Layne lets loose his inner dinosaur. They all look soo startled.
