As an Ulster-Scot myself in an ideal world there would be ever lasting peace on the Island of Ireland conflict services no ones interests unless terrorism is your business & it is to some people across the Irish sea, these people are just glorified gangsters who hide behind religion & politics on both sides of the devide. A lot of events in both British & Irish history should never have happened & people like King James have a lot to answer for. In an ideal world there would be one Irish football team, not two, as there is in other sports like Rugby Union & Cricket, but it would need to be a team to represent all people & I sometimes feel this is not the case in Rugby Union. It's painful to see such a devide still present in Nothern Ireland, we are all human after all. We all bleed red at the end of the day. In terms of playing an Old Firm game in Belfast that would just be asking for rubble on a massive scale. but in terms of sports being played on the Island of Ireland it's self I dont think football is as popular as it's presented to be on this side of the water in Scotland. I often think we get a false picture of just how popular football is on the Island of Ireland. In my experience Rugby Union is more popular on the Iseland of Ireland on a domestic level than football, also Gaelic sports are extremely popular in terms of actually playing sports. From my experience, younger generations in Nothern Ireland, anyway, are much more interested in English Premier League clubs than The Old Firm it tends to be older generations that follow the Old Firm in Nothern Ireland, this is a generalisation I am not saying there are not young Old Firm fans in Nothern Ireland, just that it's not at the levels you might think it is. Your as likely to find Liverpool or Manchester United fans in Nothern Ireland as fans of The Old Firm. Football is a dividing issue in Scotland, but I think in Nothern Ireland, it's more of a social devide than it being anything to do with football. This is just in my experience only. @callumblyth3741 all I will say is the reality in Scotland is bad but the reality in Nothern Ireland is worse in someways but not as bad in terms of actual football. I just hate conflict rivalry is one thing but The Old Firm is beyond just rivalry.

Nothing to do with whole Belfast plan, but today’s news about the allocations is a positive step. Pretty much a European style allocation for both. As a Rangers fan, I think the atmosphere at both grounds has taken a hit without away ends. Especially if the away side scores, like there’s no noise in the ground, or in our case back in September, the atmosphere just goes toxic.
Im frim southern Ireland for a start, but i think if Glasgow Rangers abd Glasgow Celtic played a game in belfast, it would hurt the loacla league the Irish league especially if it was played on "boxing day" ( st. Steven's Day) linfield va glentoran and cliftonville vs crusaders would, in particular, be significantly hurt. Its like local derby day.
well i tried to watch this but you fail to mention celltic where and still is catholic But you say Rangers were Protestants so straight away you are trying to mislead the viewer.
Absolutely asking for trouble stupid idea leave the relative peace alone I'm a unionist but if the people vote for change democratically then so be it but I fear that won't be rhe last of it
Off topic a bit but linfield and Cliftonville will meet in the irish cup final for first time since 1947 i think it is . I bet the psni are scratching their heads as i write this lol

Glad to hear that the situation has improved over there. There's always going to be wee dicks but as long as that number goes down it's progress.
