This guy is disgusting! This is how so many selfish non custodial parents feel and behave. How does he think his child eats, wears clothes, get around in a car, live indoors??!! His mother is providing those things and the child support assists her in giving your child what he needs!!! This is frustrating.

He wanted things his way.. the kid to get a used car. By her deciding to get the new car ( which he himself likely doesn't have) he believes that the Car itself is only coming from her, and that the kid only sees her as the car buyer. ( which she is... it kind of sounded like she had a spouse. .so he sees her as RICH and himself as poor). The man is jealous. But come to find out he actually does have ( extra money) as child support raised his payments. And like many folk who pay child support and believe the payments are solely for the pockets of the caregiver he makes absolutely no sense. But the bottom line is he is jealous of her income and feels as if the kid should earn his way into a new car. ( which we all could kind of understand. Except I clearly remember in the beginning of 2021 a 3 yr old (2018/2019) Honda civic was priced over the ticket price of a brand new 2021 model..Covid. go figure)

    Dirty move, sir.

I have a pretty good idea as to why he wanted to give it to his son instead of his ex-wife as they agreed. This guy probably has financial issues and he knows that his son can't do anything about it if he doesn't follow through with a monthly payment of $100. Simply because the son is only 17 years old and can't do anything about it if his dad doesn't give him $100 a month. Whereas an adult over 18 can legally take the defendant to court as his ex-wife did. Point is it's like a small child or teenager asking a parent for a Christmas present and then on Christmas day they don't get it. Legally what can that child do to their parent, absolutely nothing.

That dude is freakin dangerous and stupid. He is also a selfish father, using their kid. First telling him about some bullshit 100 dollars of gas a month (which is something he could still do if he wanted). Then blaming his ex as to why he wont commit to that plan. Regardless of what is also owed.
Someone should be wary for that poor woman.

He doesn’t want it going back to her pocket but he had no problem with all the money for his car coming out of her pocket…he just wants to be an asshole. He would have been better off being a jerk and telling her to pay for his car alone. I also hate when men bitch about child support being raised… why should only one parent have to pay for the lion share of the child’s expenses. The court gives the child support judgement based on what people make. He just wants to look like a super hero to his kid but not do what he is supposed to do to get the respect from his kid!

That’s insane! You don’t want to help get your son a car. Smh also, atleast you know he’s in a more reliable car if it’s a newer car smh. You can’t make a deal and then pull it back and if you want to give your son money yourself start a savings account for him and save him some money and give him money out of that savings account!

@@Jahmai203 but what difference does that even make when he’d agreed to give a flat $2,000 towards *A* car? I could see if he’d agreed to contribute a percentage of the total cost, and the plaintiff then decided to buy a new car instead of a used one, because that would have increased his financial obligation, but why should the decision on new or used be his alone? It’s the same $2,000wither way. 🤷🏽‍♀️The extra money wouldn’t be coming out of his pocket, so why whine about your kid driving a new car on principle alone? He just didn’t want to pay.
