I've been doing some research into which AWE kit to order for my Redeye. This video is by far the most helpful I've found. The back to back clips of the different setups at idle and under load was great. Thanks!
I like the custom setup. Awesome! I've always used straight pipe or off road H pipe (no cats)🙀 with 40 series Flowmasters and No tailpipes. You have good taste and a good ear for performance exhaust systems. Those are some really nice cars you have. Enjoy them and be safe!👍
I have to admit, I thought the new exhaust was gonna be way overkill and obnoxiously loud, but the track edition setup sounded WICKED!! That thing sounds incredible!! The drive by's when you came toward the camera made my heart skip a beat, that blower whine and then that exhaust right after make that car sound like the beast it is! YES!! What a monster!
Agree and from my observation it sounds and looks like the car has lost some bottom end with the open exhaust. Perhaps a tune is needed since so much back pressure was lost as compared to the track edition. I truly think the track edition is the bomb.
These gen3 hemis sound awesome uncorked, and is such a beautiful beast. I thought about doing that with my Challenger, but went with 3" racing pipes and is better than straight piping because of the increase diameter and flow so much better than stock
Breaking in my new cam in my 66 GTO the pool hall owner over 150 feet from my car cam over and ask my boss to get me to shut down my car as it was shaking his windows so hard he thought they would break. Later on a friend borrowed my car to go to the parts store. I heard him going thru the gears the 4 miles to the parts store and back.. the 408 BBC had 2 1/8 primaries and turbo mufflers bolted directly to the header adapters. No pipes at all. I could not hear a vacuum leak until that car had been gone over 5 years.
Hey Doris I have a Redeye as well. I put the Borla atak on mine and it sounds awesome. No drone but it sounds like a volcano exploding at full throttle. Love the sound of yours as well. I think yours is a little bit louder.
You sold me on the custom setup. When ordering the kit from AWE I referenced Woman.Driven otherwise they didn't know what I was trying to order. Going to install this weekend on my Redeye.
The first exhaust was legit the sound of the throttle dropping and that Supercharger Whine than letting off on the drive by 🤘🔥🔥🔥 i would have kept that exhaust the way it was lol
Good video, I’m thinking of doing the same thing with my 94 cobra. I have a x pipe with borla mufflers and thinking to eliminate the x pipe only, but then again I’m not sure how bad the fumes would be because it has four cats right there lol. Plus then I’m sure the engine light will come on but no biggie, I can just buy the oxygen sensor eliminator.
I agree with you the straight pipes were definitely stronger. However so you don't draw the wrong kind of attention to yourself. The Track Edition is a good alternative. Great video!
Hi .i get a 2020 limited x with 5.7 hemi and did mid muffler delete and put an x pipe, sound nice but want little louder without having a drone sound . The muffler shop told me , if remove the both back mufflers , it will sound crap and have a drone as well . What do you think

That’s what I did for my 06 Mustang. Cats with muffle delete with X pipe. Load when cold start and take off. Sounds good and not crazy

my boss has a awe exhaust on his 2000 rs4 Audi , just sounds amazing.
I think the Track edition is the best it sounds beast deep and not too loud specially for a daily driver
A nice tuned exhaust is the way to go for power and throw some electronic cutouts in the right spot
