So I just started watching but, I have the original version, the Q96. I absolutely LOVE all features but use none of the powered signals ( speaker wires) I I depinned all the wires I didn’t need and ran RCA for all my signal with separate amps. still going strong after almost a year and it sounds amazing. 👌🏽 I’ll shoot you some pictures on IG.
Not that it matters much at this point, but did you check if the headunit it came with was wired into the parking brake switch or had an aftermarket switch installed somewhere? I have a Pioneer double DIN in the MDX and a large amount of the menu options get greyed out if it doesn't "detect" that the parking brake is engaged. In my case, the installer added an aftermarket toggle switch for it that I finally found, but I normally just wire that lead to a body ground to bypass the parking brake feature all together. For the Torque app, you need an OBD2 reader to pull in most of the data. You can setup custom dash/gauge layouts for monitoring the vehicle status. I used an OBDLink LX with it and other monitoring apps that connects via Bluetooth.
Ahhh that makes sense, there was a single green wire running to the parking brake connector. I’ll check out the OBD2 adaptor, it would be nice to monitor the truck while towing
I've ran that little radio constantly for over a year in my garage boombox. Not bad for the price lol. Edit* looks like a slightly newer one. If it's anywhere near as reliable as the old one it's probably pretty good
Great quick install and review!

Love to hear it. I don’t have an AMP or subs yet, but I’d like to later on for sure

Good to hear, hopefully it holds up to this Arizona heat being tucked in the dash 🤣
