I can't make the middle piece fit all around, 36 inches is not long enough to go from the top of the hood all round to the foot and up to the top. Please help😢
Can you cut an additional piece to add onto the end of your middle piece? Just to make it a bit longer? if it is on the bottom of the basket it shouldn't show.
That's what I've done, but maybe you could change the pattern instructions, mine worked OK so far with 42 inches.

I think there is a better way to apply the ruffle on the basket. You made more work for yourself. Also, you pattern pieces needed to be cut out more accurately.
There are probably several ways to apply the ruffle. This is just how I decided to do it.
