Thought this was the best playoff block of all time. But then the Iggy block on game 7 just topped it.
that iggy block is overrated he does that shit all the time. the only saving grace is that block is super clutch and important. this block is much more impressive physically.
+Jygga Swoop what da do you mean the iggy block is overrated you hatin that block saved the game that block lead to them coming back from 3-1 against a 73-9 team he doesn't block game 7 wining shots moron stop hatin even iggy himself said it was
+Johnny Kilroy if you read my comment i explain how its not as impressive physically as this one. i realize that block is way more clutch tho
+Jygga Swoop my point is that the one on iggy was more impressive and physical than this one iggy was a half court and level was at the warriors bench to have the speed to get from there and still block iggy shot is more impressive and physical but I still agree with you
Im a Fox tayshaub on reggie Miller is the greatest playoff blpck
Does anybody realize how much sheer power it took to do that
Yeah the stress on the arm is enormous for most people....thats ridiculous.
It’d be like hitting a wall.
Yeah it's insane. And that's why the block was so damn loud lol! It took balls to go for this block he could have really hurt his hand if Splitter overpowered him.
😳
@@stuffylamb3420 i aint surprised i seen bron pulling a big ass truck wheel tire during training thats why he has strong arm muscles
So your telling me that Lebron had the two greatest blocks of all time?
2 of 3 greatest blocks....I'd say Tayshaun's chase down on Reggie Miller is 2. But these things are all opinion based so you can choose for yourself. If you're a LeBron enthusiast, then yes LBJ has the 2 greatest of all time.
+Phil Gaerlan I actually forgot about that block. That's number 2 for me
ramoozaAlmoomoo Yeah that was a crazy night, two teams combined for a playoff high 28 blocks that night and the taytay chase down was the highlight.
+Phil Gaerlan I honest still have no clue how he got there. I was rooting for the pacers in that series, but damn reggie should of dunked it
ramoozaAlmoomoo hahaha that's the big debate! Reggie was 38 years old, yeah he could still ball, but he was never that physical. I think it had been more than a year since he actually dunked the ball in game if I'm not mistaken. I'm a Laker fan and that year we had Malone and Payton. I still believe that if the Pacers had won that game, then the Pistons would not have advanced to the Finals to basically sweep us (5 games).
Anybody else's arm would have snapped..that has got to be the strongest power slam dunk denied..and I'm glad it was lebron showcasing his athleticism and insane strength. This guy is superman.
Jamuzik i would love to see lebron doing that to kd smh that would be a christmas present for me
A B he probably can in his Miami days but at the same time Kd got like a 7’6 wingspan while Lebron got a 7 foot one.Lebron jumps higher and is stronger than Kd so he would block his shit.
@@prezian1312 he's also waaay faster
He’s also Batman due to lifestyle, personality & his personal taste.
He’s also Black Panther cause he’s black
Too much strength.
my arm would break in 5 places if i tried to block splitter like that
they don't call him Splitter for no reason
LeBron is superhuman strong to be able to send someone as huge as Splitter backwards when Splitter already had so much momentum.
Did anyone hear the sound of the block? Wow!
Bill Simmons said that the sound of the block was something else live at the arena.
that he didnt run back and celebrated his block gave me goosebumps! like a boss imo...epic moment!!
I mean they had like what 20 pt cushion lol.
Lebron >> MJ
when I thought This was the best block of all time than Iggy happened
I've always thought this one was prettier and stuff, I mean at home and just the way Tiago comes At him with a full head of steam and lebron just stops him in his tracks, and lebron just sits there like disgusted. But yeah the other one was a lot huger. To block someone on a fast break in his chase down fashion in the finals to basically seal a championship, perfect

Thomas Sankara yeah shit sounded like a gunshot lmao
Incredible block. I remember watching this live. Social media went CRAZY!! Haha. But seriously tho that block took incredible strength. Tiago had so much momentum behind that attempted dunk, while lebron simply jumped vertical. Also, he didn't "swipe" the ball, or just knock it away, he completely stopped the movement, and began to overpower it. Great block.
I remember Bill Simmons tweeting about the block RESSOUNDED around the arena.
Like the dude ran into a brick wall or something.
Lebron haters like to say LeBrick. Well Splitter ran into a LeBrick wall on that dunk attempt😂
I'm a Warriors fan, but I always believed LeBron was getting way too much hate when he was in Miami. Seeing him getting the love he deserves is so refreshing.
If I were a Warriors fan, I'd be pissed right now...
Trust me, I was crying. But I decided it's better to appreciate greatness.
+Ben D'Souza ur a real basketball fan
respeck
wow your the only warriors fan that i know that doesn't disrespect lebron💯💯
I need a sports science episode about this block goddamn
Fuck how you feel about Lebron, that was one of the most incredible blocked dunks ever!
He stopped the momentum of a 7' 250lb man in flight with a CLEAN BLOCK AT THE RIM!!!
THE TIMING, ATHLETICISM & STRENGTH OF THAT WAS SOMETHING VERY FEW HUMANS ON THE PLANET, COULD DO!
THAT IS GREATNESS, FROM THE ELITE OF THE ELITE!!
Anyone came here to compare this block to the block he did against iguodala in game 7 finals?
Boss Hogg true
lol thats exactly what i was doing
Boss Hogg lbj is 6'7 lol
+gearsplayer0612 6-8
Boss Hogg who gives a shit still a great block and LeBron is not 6,9 lmao
You know how STRONG you gotta be to block that?
That’s ridiculous strength to block that and splitter had momentum and physics going in his direction. He’s also not a small dude at 6’11 250. Legendary block.
Tiago put his whole force and weight behind it and just gets casually rejected. Insane.
The Spurs are my team... And I will admit I am negatively biased against Lebron.
That being said... This is the greatest block I have ever seen.
Well hes the best ever
+unorthodoxHD sike
+Enter Pineal Spurs baby all the way. Can't knock this play, though. Amazing.
+Siddhant Singh TRUE
L
Cleanest and Strongest block of all time.
The true definition of "Block".
Who else came here from the Iggy chasedown block in Game 7. I was.
me
The original "OH, WHAT A BLOCK BY JAMES!".
Best block of all time
jason jasonson best Finals of all time
jackson howey no stop please
Mook Assassin "Why? Cause the Heat won?" - Evil Westbrook
LeBron's block on Iggy was better, because LeBron was in the paint ready for Splitter to dunk, while LeBron was sprinting as fast as he could to get to Iggy, and he had to almost get his head to the rim and block it. and the Splitter block was in garbage time in Game 2, while the Iggy block was tied in Game 7 with 1 minute left which led to a Kyrie Irving 3 pointer after the chasedown.
THE DROUGHT IS OVER 2016 NBA CHAMPS i said that before the finals haha
Man people don't realize the core strength you have to have to be flat footed, jumping straight up, hanging in mid-air with a giant of a man running downhill at you and you MOVE HIM, almost anyone else would get shoved out of the way, or just straight up miss time the damn block, unreal athleticism and strength.
Lebron should have definitely won at least 2 defensive player of the year awards back in his prime
Got robbed in 2013
Its amazing cause not only is Lebron several inches shorter than Splitter, but Lebron was just doing a standing vertical, while Tiago had a ton of momentum going in and Lebron had his entire hand on the ball. That is the perfect example of strength and athleticism in the NBA.
LeBron James is 6"9 he's only 3 inches shorter lol
People really don't realize how much strength is needed to pull that off
Legend has it Tiago splitter was never seen again
A 30 second ad for a 38-second video? Ridiculous.
Worth it the wait lol
😂😂😂
The block was so powerful it broke the sound barrier.
I remember this my brain already told me Lebron was posterized and then I was like wait what
Grant Moore 😲
Did you hear that
Raw brute strength from the best player on the planet. Incredible timing.
The sheer SOUND of that....YEEEESH
One of the most underrated/not talked about enough type plays of all time , I don’t think we can even properly comprehend the kind of power/force of resistance this takes . Splitter was in full hammer down motion - that kind of momentum snaps the normal wrist trying to do that most likely , and he’s just like “nope”
Who's here after Bam blocked Tatum?
Nigga
Bam blocked a guard
Lebron blocked a center
That block was crazy!!
The sound of the ball!!
This was better than Giannis' block on Ayton imo.
One of the cleanest blocks I've ever seen! The force of impact of that block is equivalent to a 280 lb man tackling you💪🏼
Skip Bayless said he can jump higher than Tiago
lol in his dreams
Back when lebron was a defensive machine
This was nasty
Just came back to this block to tell y’all to never forget it. One of the nastiest blocks of all time
probably the cleanest, strongest block ive ever seen.
Miles Tschaen I’ve never seen a better block than this one. It was clean and brutal.
If you notice Lebron timed it perfectly.. when he went up to block it he was right there to meet the ball 🏀
Lebron stopped his arm and momentum from going forward: he didn’t swipe the ball away he met him straight up and stopped his forward motion with the ball included. Wtf
This sound made me stood up when I watched the game.
if people didnt scream, it would be heard echoes.
PURE STRENGTH
If Splitter han that dunk on LeBron, all the momentum might have shifted to the Spurs for a comeback. This was a key block by LeBron.
They would have been down 17 lol
With no regard for human life
Divine intervention right there
The fact he just stood there to “is this what y’all want ???” To the crowd is the real flex
People said that Giannis’ block on Ayton was better than LeBrons game 7 block on Iggy but that block doesn’t even rival this one. 😆
Giannis' block was better in the clutch. Heat were up by 19 here. Just like people remember the buzzer-beaters, not when you shoot a 3 with 8 minutes left on the clock.
@@FireMarshallStev giannis block is overrated
@UCTS-TploWqGDY7206T8_Zlg says the bronsexual, keep crying 🖕
LeFraud can only block unathletic white plumbers, meanwhile MJ blocks hof centers like ewing olajuwon mourning 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@user-jm7mm4lo7o stfu post a video scared
This is the dream MLK was talking about
nah he dreamt of equality not straight up murder
Not only did he block him he literally PUSHED him back!
one of the sickest blocks in the NBA
holy shit, lebron took away his manhood
I'm a lebron hater but that block was brutal!!
Lebron THE BEST EVER
why would you hate the goat? appreciate his greatness while it last.
I remember I almost fell out my seat laughing my ass off watching this live. LeBron did that boy nasty😂
GROWN MAN BLOCK 😮💨
That is a 7 ft player he just blocked, thats pure power and athleticism of LeBon.
He is just to strong man! And his defensive capabilities are so underrated, Spurs here played an amazing pick n roll and he watched it all closely and had just the perfect timing to savagely block Splitter and threw it back like it was nothing! True legend!
One of the greatest blocks of all time. I take this block over the Iggy block. Literally sounds like thunder struck the arena.
Block sounded like a slap from my mom.
Glad to live in the basketball era of Lebron James.
I hated Lebron on the Heat, seeing him win 2 chips their got me heated, but seeing him win 1 for Cleveland is just different
there*
Yeah u can tell it was different for him. If u watch him after he beat the Spurs in the finals that year he wasn't screaming at all. He like calmly walked over and hugged the Spurs and shit. But in Cleveland he just fell to the floor screaming and crying
Yeah, he was cocky in Miami.. I never liked him until last years finals honestly.
+Greysen Gagné He was never cocky
Ty a stare down isn’t really a taunt
After 9 years i already remember this i was 14
anyone here after the bam block?
Congratulations Tiago Splitter, you are the most blockable player in the NBA
Yea let's see u try to block him keep talking trash nerd
Why You Play With Him On DEFENSE.He's So Good ANd YOU THINK YOU CAN SCORE..DON'T THINK SO
Get this, I was down on the court side seats during spurs/heat warmup (it was apart of this package deal but our seats were still mid-tier). Anyhow, during the warm up Tiago, Manu, Bonner and Belleni (sp) were out there and I didn't realize Tiago was as close to us but he over hears me telling my brother about this very block from the finals. So after a few laughs I look up and see Tiago giving me the most scolding stare down I have probably ever received in my life, i'm not going to lie, it was threatening. Anyhow, this block is still incredible but one of my all time favorites is DJ throwing down over Brandon Knight. Cracks me up every time.
Anthony Nguyen yeah nerd
The fact that he stopped it full force is crazy looks like if it was anyone else they arm would be fucked up
One of the best ever playoff blocks for sure.
This is the best block i have ever seen in my life time took him out WITH ONE HAND omg praise the king
I saw a right angle weld on a C- Class Mercedes Benz chassis and its strength is slightly less than Lebrons shoulder
Nothing he could do but run to the other end and try to play some defense 🤦🏾 Lebron took all his confidence away after that block
Its crazy once Tiago got the ball he looked strait at the net and was going to hammer that ball. I really don't think he even saw James there at the bottom of the net.
Seriously good play by both of them Tiago good roll its just a BETTER block by James to find that ball in the air.
Splitter had no Idea who was standing on his way. If he did he probably would of done something different.
Miami Lebron was so much fun to watch. At his peak, there was no one who can compare to him on the physical level.
Super late (and an amazing finals performance later) I still think Lebron and Westbrook are the most athletic players in the world (in that order)
Heat Lebron was the best Lebron in my opinion
@@yaahlabanyamyan1442018 LBJ best ever
That dunk was so awesome lebron didn't even bother to get back on offense.
that *block* was so awesome...
And you're wrong. Sure he looked cocky and shit but he came back into the offense, set a screen, got the ball (only movement the heat had on the play) and assisted Ray in the corner for a 3. Lebron was in the zone, plus it was a blowout.
I didn't mean he didn't get back on offense at all, he just didn't run back immediately.
Michael Vasquez again who cares, the only reason why you posted is because it's LeBron.
bruh even the spurs bench was all like god damn 0:08
This is one of those plays you will see in LeBron's highlights after has retired.
me and my cousin went old teams on 2k and I destroyed him with this LeBron.....the man caught like 8 oops in the game 😂😂😂
I blame Giannis, I just had to verify that LeBrons block was waaaaay cleaner, and it was. 💪🏽
He just stood there for like 10 seconds sprinted down the court hit Allen for three and then stole the ball and dunked it. Wow what a player. Go Heat
Best block ever....
-Spurs fan
The iggy one is better now
That one was cool too, but this one was face to face vs a center.
My view on it is this one was important but vs Iggy literally won them a championship in terms of magnitude it beats this one.
Best finals block ever... As far as chills down your spine type!!
I believe you changed your opinion years later :)
Ask me If I care
@@BigZo22 Do you care?
Do you?
That was such a good block. And I’m a lebron hater.
one of the best blocks ever
It's signature plays like this that will be part of his lasting legacy.
its crazy to think this was 10 years ago
Him gloating after that block just makes it more glorious
The sound of the block tho. Fuckin denied
How could anybody hate this block? I'm a Spurs fan, but man this block was brilliant!
it kinda felt like an anime moment :3
10 years later and tiago splitter is remembered for this single moment
This is probably one of the best blocks ever in NBA Finals history if not, one of the best blocks ever.
Was rooting against MIA when this went down, but when this block happened, I knew SA was probably gunna catch an L.
lolll
this is the difference between a clean block and plumlees "block" on lebron ( AKA foul )
that wasn't a foul that was all ball
When your seeing it in slow motion with a camera angle at the rim is so easy to say that. This was an incredible block regardless of it being Splitter. Straight up clean face to face block.
that play was beyond dirty. pure filth.
250 dislikes are the sorry haters.. Go heat !!!!
This guy is the greatest player ever
might be the best block I've seen live.
The greatest block I’ve ever seen in my life
