To those wondering why he doesn’t hang the rugs or have a grated floor: the soap can’t do its magic that way. The soap used in carpet/rug cleaning actually dissolves dirt plus the foaming lifts the dirt away from the fibers. If the soap couldn’t sit and do its job, the rug would take much longer to clean and many more passes/soaps/rinsing.

I was the "floor person" at a grocery store for years. It cracks me up how many people, who have probably never had to clean up anything more serious than a dropped 2l cola bottle in the garage, scold the video creator for their techniques and methods. There are so many little details, such as their masterful handling of a floor scrubber, about which most of you have no idea. That floor scrubber could easily grab the edge of that rug and snarl it into a horrible mess, probably destroying it in the process, if it is not handled *perfectly*. This person does so, time and time again, in a display of professional skill most of you don't have the eyes to spot.
So those of you for whom a swiffer is the extent of your cleaning expertise and experience, sit down, shut up, and appreciate the work of a professional.

    • @audreysymons7531

i think the reason they don’t do that is so that water/dirt gets more concentrated on the corners in the rug, especially since the stitching there is typically tighter, it can hold more of that kind of stuff from falling off :)

The idea you go getting rugs dirty for youtube is only for those who really have nothing else to do. Just do what you do and remember you don't have to explain yourself to anyone. People are going to think what they think regardless and it's best to stay in your own lane and let them drive theirs.
