as a paraplegic wheelchair user. The note about the train track is super helpful.
But would you go back again?
Agreed!! Very helpful!
i would feel the same since im in the same situation as you except if i was with others to help me get passed the tracks
I actually would really appreciate links review, that’s the type of review I’d look for, so I know exactly what the experience was like.

“I do my best work horizontal” - Link Neal
In a bed
Lmao I caught that also
I bet he does
And also "Guilt is riding me" -Link Neal
Same
I appreciate people who wrote reviews like how Link does. It’s heartwarming knowing the intention behind is to let other people know what’s up and be extra prepare for the stay
I’m glad it’s not just me. I like reviews like that. If they include good and bad, it seems more honest. It seems like most reviews are all positive or all negative, which doesn’t seem realistic. If people don’t want to know that much, they won’t read it all.
Hahaha I said the same thing!
Me too! As long as people don't give a low rating over minor issues, I think it's super helpful to mention them so that 1.The owners can make improvements and/or 2.Other people know what to expect and can make a more informed decision about whether the issues are dealbreakers or not.
Agreed. I prefer when there’s a longer review and I appreciate the honesty of others who you have stayed there. Also some things will bother some people but may not bother me, so I prefer to be prepared
Rhett looked to be in physical discomfort holding back after the 'flop it out on the table' comment
p h he was trying to hold back the impulse to do the hard motions too
I immediately thought of Ben, and that moment Rhett cried talking about wishing they had spent their last days with him doing something other than talking to him about God. That moment has stayed with me. ❤️💛💚💙💜
Do you remember what episode was that?
paty cruz it’s called the life and loss of Ben, our other best friend.
Our Other Best Friend is the episode about Ben
Exactly what I was thinking
Aw man that episode yanked at the heartstrings, that's for sure
I've never liked the whole, "I don't regret anything because everything I've done has brought me here" logic.
I may not regret that a relationship ended, but I can still regret decisions made or things said during the relationship.
I don't regret moving out of my parents' house, but I regret some of the interactions I had with them when I was living there.
Pretending like you can fail upwards at every life decision and refusing to look back on how you could have smoothed some of the rougher edges out of your path through life can be a dangerous mindset in my opinion.
Jesse Crespo “pretending you can fail upwards” i love that 👌
Well made point! I would like to add: There's a difference between mistakes and "failures", and it's healthy to regret mistakes you made even when you accept the outcome. I do believe in not regretting "failures", because why worry about something out of your control, that happened despite your best efforts. There's a balance to it.
Completely agree.
I think you can fail upwards, if you take your failure as a learning opportunity. And probably people who say this arent talking about minor things, but stuff that actually brought them to where they're at.
Super agree
The fact that people think Rhett's an asshole makes me sad he seems like a really honest and real person
@San the Man idk about that I think Rhett's more real and upfront with his opinions, and I think people let link get away with having asshole moments because we don't see it but he's told lots of stories where he's been an ass to his family and obviously has some anger issues when it comes to his anxiety and OCPD, I think alot of people forget that tho because they only hear the stories and don't witness them. I guess all my statement proves is that if anything were all assholes in some ways
@@mythicalashley9542 I agree. I think Rhett is actually kinder.
Well we get the chance to see very exposed and intimate parts of both of them with their thoughts and feelings. I could definitely see Rhett giving off a "spiky exterior" vibe if I didn't know him so well. Some people who are straightforward can be mistaken for assholes. With how he's discussed in the past how easily he can become frustrated or impatient, I could see people marking him with that.
@@mythicalashley9542 anger issues? I think that is too far
@@Laura-sp4td if you've heard any of his stories about his vacations with his family he usually ends up loosing his cool at some point and getting angry to the point his family gets upset so yes I think he has some anger issues to do with stress, which I mean who doesn't I know I do as well
It's perfectly fine to still regret not going to that child's funeral. Regretting is not the same as dwelling. We grow from the mistakes we make, and nobody will escape life with no regrets. Link, you feel bad because you have a sensitive, caring heart. Keep on being yourself.
I agree 💯👍
Link referring to Locke's friend as "chore boy" made me cackle lmao
Title: “Our Biggest Regrets”
One of them: *tells regret*
The other : “you shouldn’t regret that!”
Now he's going to regret the fact that he regretted it
Andres Fernandez
Do you regret the fact that you just wrote that reply? Never mind, I regret asking.
@@Jeremy-tl1pt do you regret regretting what you just did now?
nosnaY ʕ´•ᴥ•`ʔ
Yeah, I’m sorry 😐
But do you regret making me sorry?
@@Jeremy-tl1pt I regret having read this
“There’s alot of people think I’m an asshole I get it I understand”
*mood*
"And i may even agree"
Obviously Rhett and Link are familiar strangers to us. We don't know them. We see and hear what they choose to give us. Rhett can be sarcastic, but I've seen Link be the same. They are both capable of great feelings and emotions. I think anyone who coins Rhett an asshole hasn't really taken the time to see him. It's a shame, because they're missing out.
Exactly. I don't get why it's ok to let Link get away of the same behavior as Rhett and Rhett gets crucified for it. I think Rhett is so understanding and patient. I wish people would stop bullying him.
@@tofelipwithlove1150 I'm not denigrating Link either. I'm saying they're human. They have positives and flaws like all of us.
Rhett, your personality has grown so much over the years, that’s all that matters, we love you, don’t worry about the judgement just know we love you.
"Oh, you gotta bad back? Let's talk about that for a while." I lololololed! Love these two.
The section about birthday messages and mail difficulty made me feel soooooooo much better about my lapses.
Love it, as usual. Also, though I mostly agree with Rhett's take on Link's Airbnb review, I will say that the train track may still be relevant to some who are disabled in some way or who are utilizing a wheelchair, walker, cane, etc.
I regret listening to Rhett talk about 90 day fiance, now my wife and I are addicted.
I kinda wish the lighting was still dim. It was comforting.
I'm with you, Link. I prefer super detailed reviews.
Rhett: "Can you hear colors? That sounds like a GMM episode."
Link: "Yeah, we'll do that."
.....they already did.
My baby passed away and I was so honored to see how many people came to his funeral even if I didn’t know them well. He was only 1 day old so only my family and my boyfriends family got to meet him. It was a comfort to me knowing even though he lived 15 hours he impacted so many people.
Im sorry for your loss, thank you for sharing that story
@@lali_kay it’s an honor really i found it has helped my grief more than anything by sharing Noah story
Can we talk about how Rhett handled his sneeze off-camera?
You can see the table shift, hear a sneeze, then the table move again, all while Link is talking. Impressive.
My biggest regret is not spending time with my dad the last day I saw him alive. He asked me to go to the store with him but I had "better things to do". I blame myself because if I had gone with him maybe things would've gone differently and he wouldn't have died. Never take anything for granted.
Another regret is not speaking for his funeral service. I was so overwhelmed with grief, but thinking back on it I should've said something for him. He was my best friend. I feel like I did him a disservice. That is regret..
So sorry for your loss.
Guilt and regret often come with grief. It's painful, but it's normal. It's okay that you didn't go to the store with him, and it's okay that you're having those, "if only/ what if" thoughts. It's okay that you weren't feeling ready to speak at his funeral. That's completely understandable. And it's also okay and understandable that you wish you had. 💕💕💕
rhett: can you hear colors? that sounds like a gmm episode
link: yeah we’ll do that
gmm season 9 episode 43: 😢
My biggest regret is when I said yes to a guy that I didn't really want to marry and wasn't in love with, just to fit in. When I eventually broke up with him for obvious reasons, I broke his heart and he never saw me in the same way again. So if i could go back to that time he got down on one knee, I would say ”You know what? You're a lovely guy and I'm sure that you're gonna make a wonderful husband someday, but you're just not my type." #EarBiscuits
I know Rhett is giving link a hard time about his review length but I love reading reviews that are detailed especially for a rental that potentially costs a couple thousand dollars.
Rhett said Link shouldn't regret the review because it will be helpful to other people.
That's so funny they literally did make an episode of GMM called can you hear colors.
Yep! ua-cam.com/video/xj7vukZT9sI/v-deo.html
Exactly
Link regretting his review on his AirBnB
Me regretting leaving my oranges to spoil at my dorm room
Idk man, having a lot of time to reflect makes you regret the things you did not even care about pre-Covid.
Wooo fellow iska/mythical beast! *waving*
One regret I have is not going out more to restaurants or anywhere when people asked me because I was too lazy or be sued I’m just a hermit crab because now I can’t do any of that due to our current situation. But it’s taught me to not take life for granted because you never know what will happen the next day, week, month l, or year. Stay safe everyone!
I am so glad I am a subscriber. Learning that Rhett is wearing white and Link is in light blue just doesn’t paint a thorough picture of what is actually going on during Ear Biscuits. I mean, if Link wasn’t wearing a hat, I would guess they just woke up from a sleepover at each other’s house and started podcasting in their actual pjs.
To live and learn is to regret, ignorance is a natural part of life, to regret is to look back reflectively on the things you have or haven't done in your life and make a change for the future. Regret isn't a bad thing, it's how we learn to make better choices and improve ourselves : )
There’s this innocence about Link that’s always surprising and heartwarming 😊
Have to be honest, first time hearing the "like and subscribe" spiel and not feeling compelled to do the exact opposite.
"I need glasses and I'm totally about to ruin your brand"
"Rep your boys, regret!"
Not the best sales pitch
A family turning to make ends meet when they own possibly two beach houses, Link is too kind.😭
This was a very enjoyable ear biscuit to watch. Link you have a very kind and emphatic heart to still care about and regret not going to that kids funeral and writing that very detailed review. It's healthy to discuss your regrets like this because it helps you heal from it. Keep being you Link :)
I think talking about and processing regrets is healthy and helps you move on and heal. I rather do that then shove it down. I have many regrets and Ill have more in the future. And that's normal!
If you die, that's a problem
- Rhett McLaughlin 2020
06:22 all the way through my 40s I just kept on moving. Repairing fence line spring baseball football hiking working with horses and Cattle. In the back oh my mind I knew I had knee problems. But money is with pop out and after a few minutes of pain I was ready to go again! Soy Nordic until I sprained my knee severely one day and 94 but I had to take it to the doctor and he said I had a degenerative arthritis and osteoarthritis. So throughout my 50s and now M60 I would tell people at home" cost take care of your knees". My back was my greatest asset. I could depend on it at any time. No my back it started with my knees, then walking is not enjoyable because of pain. I ain't used to me my favorite thing to do especially the walk through the woods Hills and Hollows. Just because you're able to do everything you want to do does it mean you can't do something extra to protect yourself later. But when were young we are Superman and Superwoman and nothing can hurt us. At least that's what we think then.
Rhett has become his character from Buddy System 2 and I’m here for it.
Someone I knew from high school killed himself but I wasn't friends with him so I didn't reach out to the family either however I felt guilt as well. I can relate to link when he talks about the funeral of the child. Death is so intense that it can really make you feel things.

IMHO from listening to Ear Biscuits for awhile now, and truly meaning it when I say, if I had not found the Mythical Channels and Rhett and Links ones (like Ear Biscuits), I wouldn't be alive right now... As someone who already had severe treatment resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other things, developing a severe chronic pain/nerve disorder wasn't great for me.. It still isn't and has further deteriorated my mental health, BUT in the beginning, not knowing what was happening, with new symptoms every day it felt like, and pain so bad I just screamed and writhed, and couldn't stand to be touched... I learned 1 thing, I needed to find distractions from the pain, so I found you guys on UA-cam, and watched you anytime I was awake pretty much, I felt like I learned a lot about you, so in your regrets, when you didn't mention the way you handled your last visit with Ben, even if at the time you thought you were doing good, I just know you have to now regret that, ALOT... So I was kinda shocked not to hear it be said, unless that was something you guys just didn't want to talk about, a place too dark to go.. I get it then
I have lots of regrets. BUT just because I regret moments of my life doesn’t mean I would go back and change them. Those moments made me, me.
I like ..Round table of adequate lighting.
I would call Link’s shirt more of a light periwinkle
absolutely big agree
In Link's Rec at the end he talks about Flea from The Chilli Peppers and says "what makes him tick"....made me chuckle 1:10:07
Addressing janies parents killed me! I hope she shows them.
24:30 This is why teachers always said to wait till after the talking is done to ask questions haha
Thanks fellas! As always, your vulnerability and authenticity are appreciated and valued.

I’ve been subscribed to ear biscuits before it had its own channel. I truly enjoy listening to you guys chat about this and that, especially when I’m working or driving. It gives an external perspective on a lot of my own thoughts and ideals. You guys are awesome! Thanks for putting in the work to internetain me on the daily. I appreciate you guys and the Mythical Crew. I’m repeating myself but you guys are awesome! and worth saying it twice.
I have had special items drunk by people who were supposed to be feeding pets or housesitting for me more than once. One was a special reserve cabernet that my recently deceased husband had purchased to open when it was ready. Both times the persons brought friends into my place, rummaged through a closet to find the item, and consume it. My regret is choosing horrible people to trust, because they had no excuse to go into my closets for any reason, and had been guests at my home many times.
If I could be so bold, I have a rec. Research "intrusive thoughts" a bit. It helped me let go of things in the past and it may help you. I love the podcast. Thank you guys.
"Might you subscribe and hit that bell."
"Yes sir..."

29:33 “i think it’s still funny😀” made me laugh idk why
I like it when people like link leave reviews! It makes me know exactly what to expect.
Rhett please give us you’re back exercise routine I’m begging
Listening to the child's funeral story made me remember one. When I was younger, my best friends mother died, and I didn't go to the funeral, I had the opportunity but I didn't go. Funerals bum me out, and I thought not to go. It really makes me feel like shit because, my friend needed my support and I didn't help him just because they bum me out. Really hits me deep before I go to sleep thinking about random stuff
I felt proud that I subscribed when you told me so
I can clearly admit my anxieties lol and the house in the corner lot would have bugged me greatly and took away from the experience. Then I would regret fixation on the house on the corner lot.
"I do my best to work horizontal"
Definitely something I'd say in my sleep lol 😂🤣😂🤣😂
23:09 Click that bell, oh yeah...now click it again...NO WAIT DONT CLICK IT AGAIN lol
I always love a good Ear Biscuit 🥳 Good mythical morning y’all! Love listening to this to sleep, your voices are just relaxing I don’t know how or why but it’s true! Have a wonderful week guys
23:43 the red hot chili peppers quote caught me off guard lol
I love links look of satisfaction about how he’s wearing a light blue shirt at 22:43
Rhett rocking his man bun 🔥
“Oh you have a bad back? Let’s talk about that some more” 😂😂
I love this podcast! Glad to have a new one to listen to
People who say "I don't regret anything in life" are being hypocrites. Of COURSE we've all regretted some bad decisions in life, it's basic human nature. No need to turn a blind eye on your past. Just because you regret something, that doesn't mean you didn't learn from that experience. No need for this self-enlightenment bs, just own up to your mistakes!
Yes, exactly!❤️
I dont know if hypocrites is the word, but yeah, you are right
I think its partly due to people viewing regret differently. I have regrets, but nothing I dwell on too much, but some people define regretting as dwelling. So depending on how severely you define regret will change your answer
It's so comforting to know that I'm not the only 40 year old who can't orchestrate a big social event or remember how to mail a letter
Link is going to be one of those old guys that grab you in a choke hold with his stories and tangents and just won't stop and let go.
Link order a bowl and two tortillas on the side and then you can make your own burritos
Reheating pizza: I use my toaster oven. Put it in there on the little pan it comes with, before I even turn the thing on. Make sure it's on the bake setting. Turn it up to like 450. Turn it on. As soon as I hear that sizzle, it's done. Some of the major takeout chains are actually better like this than they are fresh.
The "how charitable to be" (like dollar value) is something that I think about. I'm super broke /disabled from a brain surgery. But I'm still that guy that would feel a little shame if I won the lottery or got a huge inheritance.
I think the best way to rationalize is to literally portion a percentage of income into an account specifically for giving acts. Like maybe even a third of it, if you're making enough. And, probably because I'm in a small town, the biggest thing I'm always thinking about is local small businesses (...apropos!). I wouldn't give them money, I'd just handle the expense of certain things... Specifically make sure they've got their remodeling done, fixtures replaced, security system enabled. Put up a billboard. Whatever I can do for local economy, because there would be a snowball effect.
"We're gonna flop it out and leave it on the table" - Link
Working in the restaurant business, for 13 yrs, I got used to eating things at room temp. Anyone who's ever worked at a restaurant knows what I'm talking about. It's slow, you order your food and WITHOUT FAIL, YOU GET SLAMMED! So, by the time you get to eat it, you're so hungry, you just eat it at room temp! Now I'm used to it!
Personally i like detailed reviews specially when family is with ya. Last thing u need is to get blamed for the choice 😂
I regret so many things, it'd be easier to say what I don't. But I'd say that my biggest regret nowadays was not having let my mother send me to live with my dad when I was a teenager. Granted, she used it as a threat to make me obey her every whim, but now I think my life would've been much better had I lived with him.
This was a good one, you guys. Thank you for this!!
01:13 are you "airing out your laundry?"😀
Biggest regret not learning to drive!
I regret taking so long in my life before I found my own voice. It wasn't entirely up to me, so I don't hate myself for it. But I do wish it was something I discovered sooner.
I also regret not being with my kitty named Mouse when she had to be put to sleep. I was too emotional and opted out, but that wasn't the best choice for her. She needed me.
That last part hit me in a really emotionally vulnerable place. I was not ready to read that. Wow. Thank you for sharing that. I think Mouse just went into a peaceful sleep. Don’t hold that against yourself.
I regret Link sending that text and I wasn't the one who sent it LOL Tbh, I think of that moment often, especially when I am texting.
Which episode did they talk about that in?

Link, I feel you brother. WHEN I DO LEAVE REVIEWS, I am super detailed in my experience plus I am trying to leave a good review. Like, honestly, listening to this podcast, I feel like I am talking to my brother (Rhett) about my review of my experience (Link). I get it dude!! I have the same problem. But, Link, don't worry..I have found that there are a lot of people who appreciate our details. It's much better than the typical "amazing" or "good stay, nice people."
If anyone wonders, this is a great podcast to crochet to!

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 love ear biscuits! Would love the east biscuits mugs back in stock!
Link lives in so much of a comfort box that I don’t believe he’d let anything have detrimental results. This is an episode about time travel again. With different rules
I think the wreck it ralph one doesn't get old very quickly if it does indeed say "I thought it was funny at the time"
My dad wanted a Tasmanian Devil tattoo so bad in the 90s but, in his words, “I couldn’t just Google a reference photo to print out a reference pic.” So he has a very very faded Ren tattoo from Ren and Stimpy on his chest. A rabid looking grotesque Chihuahua that used to have blood shot eyes. At least it’s somewhat unique haha.
You guys have done an episode about hearing colors. Remember Rhett painted a picture and it had the same colors as someone with color synesthesia?
Thank God I found this podcast
When they mentioned Bill and Ted I immediately thought of Lewis and Clark.
Personally, as an introvert, I wouldn't want a not-close-friend come awkwardly to a funeral of my loved one. The more people come to an event like that, maybe the less time he has to actually grieve. So I wouldn't regret it if I were Link.
what episode was this??
I hate the bell with a passsion, but ive been subbed forever. love you guys
Couple episodes not available today on Apple podcasts, so I came over here to listen.
