I low-key miss having short awkward length hair sometimes. I’ve had waist length hair and cut it to mid back. But awkward length hair actually has the most versatility to me. I miss having a puff when I put it in a ponytail
I miss my TWA! I big chopped two years ago so my hair is no longer that length but omgggg that hair in the TWA era was the best, especially now that it's summer I miss my shorter hair cuz it was cute, low maintenance and kept me cool in the summer!
My hair is in an awkward stage plus I swim. I’m finding twists and updos work well since I have to rinse out the chlorine and re moisturize almost daily. I do the entire wash routine once a week. I do a “nice” style for church and then it starts over again. I love my natural hair and the versatility!!
I love mini twists BUT I have fine hair (healthy and full but my hair is fine) so I can't even get away with most of these mini twist gorgeous hairstyles because my hair looks too thin...not thick enough hair for it. Unless I add extensions like you advises, would love to see how we can achieve that hairstyle!
I wear wash and go almost on a daily basis. Wash and gos look different on different textures, it better to follow 4 b and 4 c girlies to see what a 'real' wash and go looks like 😊 @JennJackson is a great example and @Alove4me has tons of info about it, she has realistic advice.
@@tinuolastudio3835 Yes I have both 4c and 4b hair, my hair is fine and medium density 🙂 At the very beginning, it took 25 mn to cowash and have my shower. Now my hair is super hydrated and barely needs any detangling so it takes me 15 mn to cowash and shower. I learned a lot from the Anthoney Dickey, a hair stylist. He has videos and tutorials on his hairline account @hairules
I used to have really short hair. U could literally see my scalp. Growing it out now but there are times I am tempted to cut it all off...but I will not. Love how my hair is growing..it seems slow but I got patience...❤🎉😂
Most of the images are not the awkward stage 1:32, 6:57, first pic of 4:47 was. One thing with short hair that should not be ignored is a good shape and hair cut, which a lot of the women in these images with shorter hair have. A lot of black women avoid getting a shaped cut because they don't want to lose length, but if you are really struggling with styling and the look of your esp 4b or 4c hair, it's most likely because the shape is not good i.e uneven lengths, back shorter than front or vice versa and therefore no style looks good to you.
Thank you for this video ! I just cut my hair into a twa and I love it . But I worry about wear it to work ? If that normal , or what can I do about it
Thank you for watching! I understand that it can feel awkward the first couple of times you wear your twa to work, especially if you live in the West, but you'll get over that feeling with time (if your workplace isn't toxic). It's been on my mind to address this in a video, so I might have a video coming up soon with some tips on navigating this. However, in the meantime, check out my ' how to style twa/short hair' video.♥
@@Tinuola thank you ! ❤️ Yes I am a teacher in the West so all my coworkers have seen me with my longer natural hair but never short so I will try to fight the feelings.
You are tempting me to cut off my 4/5 inches again. My hair breaks easily so it never stays long. I feel so free with less hair but I take it as a lifelong learning process and skill.

Mini-twists are supreme!

I honestly feel so sexy when my hair is super short. Short hair on black women is such a regal and elegant look
Natural hair is beyond gorgeous and powerful. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
It really is! ♥

@@missfabidiajust curious, are you type 4 hair, and how long does it usually take daily?

that "i am tempted to cut it all off" feeling is SO relateble!😁
I like that my hair is short tbh cos every time I take out my braids so I can cut it without cutting my hair
😂😂 you're spilling facts!!
