Yes the original Tongans were black look up pictures of Tonga from the 1800s we are not from Lapita but we did mix our DNA with them..I am Tongan if you know our true history then you will know that the colonizers and missionaries hid our real identity from us and where we come from. We were the world's greatest navigators that went around the world and mixed with south east Asians to palangis from Europe and that is why we lost our true melanin skin tone. We are raised to hate dark skin because it was taught to us by the missionaries who were already racist and white supremacists and that is why we love light skin and worship a white Jesus
Just bcoz yr DARK IN SKIN COLOUR DOESNT MEAN YR BLACK..THE TEMPERATURES IN THE ISLANDS BACK THEN WAS HOTTER/ MORE SUN.ALL ANCESTRAL POLYNESIANS LOOK DARKER THEN NOT JUST TONGAN.BUT IF YOUR POLYNESIAN YOUR DNA IS NOT AFRICAN.PAPUANS & ABORIGINALS ARE CLOSER TO BLACK THAN YOULL EVER BE!!
y'all weren't great navigators but were lost in the middle of the Pacific ocean. All the bigger land masses with vast valleys and rainforests in the Pacific were occupied and populated by Melanesians. The tiny atols were left for your ancestors to call home.
I'm Black (African-American) and I think this effort to classify every melanated group of people as being Black and some African derivative is stupid. People from tropical and subtropical climates will have darker skin and coarser hair. That doesn't mean they all have the same origin. Pacific Islanders are their own people and trying to tie them into our group shows insecurity.
But didn't their ancestors migrate out of the continent? Ever since the Europeans traveled and destroyed the image of black people, everybody has been ashamed to identify with blackness or Africaness, it doesn't what we think, we can't change history and we can't change genetics
But you forget that Africa is the cradle of every black man. There's no any other continent that has ever been blessed with a black man, believe me or not. All the black people found in other continents traces their origin from mother Africa. They have no difference with trans Saharan Africans except the geographical location they found themselves in as a result of migration patterns that occurred many years ago even before slavery.
@@ilove100times Originally their are pictures from thex1800 hundred were tin cans where black after they mixed with the Euro colonizers. Like someone said: some of you need to look you itself in the mirror. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
The problem with the racial structure is that it oversimplifies the diversity of humanity. Ethnicity is far better suited for defining differences between people.
Yes, people often simplified it to Black or White... meanwhile the people that they consider black or white itself have a whole different face and body construction. Whole different genes but same skin color. As a melanoid, we do have dark skin but our genes were closer to southern east asia than to African, and african closer to caucasian than to us. Another example, Siberian people are closer to mongoloid than to caucasian. Arabic closer to Caucasian than to Mongoloid. Even though we and them have quite similar skin color to each other, but we are a whole different people. That's why we should define things by ethnicity more than skin color. Because defining things by skin color makes no sense.
@@honestperson-qt3dewho were the people? I know, but Black and White… are “modern” racial constructs, much of it was written into law during the colonial/ slavery period… when slavery has / had existed for centuries, globally. Nearly all indigenous people have an admixture of different ethnicities. Of course there are obviously outliers. Interesting thing for me is that the moderator stated the high percentage of Mormons in Tongan culture. Let that resonate for a second… Also a noted fact, anywhere that was colonized, and religion instituted, much of the original history was erased~see one of the more famous examples ~Diego de Landa… Colonialist were well known for attempting to bred out the indigenous and destroy all indigenous cultures records, etc. then rewrite and start a new history. Black and White are purposeful, and it’s a reason why it’s “oversimplified”
People hate hearing this, and hate that science has in fact debunked race a long time ago after being used by unethical early scientist to support politicians. Race was and is a political device used to divide lower classes, it started as such and is nothing more. The faster the world revisits the history of 400 years ago and learns this truth, the better we can heal.
We melenesians are real black people. We came from Africa 50 000 years ago. Our Polynesian and Micronesian brothers are mixed blooded melenesian and Asians. They came to our pacific some 5000 years ago. Proud to be a black Pacific Islalander.
People with Black skin are all over the world especially near equator. Doesn't necessarily means its the same race (Whatever race means) Even in Africa no one will tell you I am black. We Identify with Nationality, Region,Tribe ,Clans and Family names. Its when we go outside of Africa that we all become blacks. In my country The European,Chenese, etc are all White people and of course they are not the same but we call them awhite just for their skin color.
@ There is literally people in Africa specifically in Sudan who’s literally black. We use the word black interchangeably meaning it can be associated with color (darker skin), culture, or ethic.
I know right, but when people try to think they are better than one another, it will always be someone that has issues with it? "Everyone should just be themselves in a good way, practice the "Ten Commandments, show respect to one another, is the best way to live in this climate the world is in. If people want to be this or that, not associate with these people or those, as long as they are not hurting or trying to destroy others then let them be, just like all those who always messing with the "Blac Americans, (Mesoamericans), should do the same and focus on their own people, if they want to be disrespectful and hating on them!!

Better take a look back 200 years ago no thy self the missionaries did some really fucked up shit in the islands, But they could not get that shit off in Melanesia they were too fierce so they just said fuck it and continued to corrupt the bloodlines and minds of the rest of the pacific don't feel bad they also programmed 80million aboriginals in north America telling many that they were descendants of African slaves when only 5% of the 12 million Africans taken made it into North America ..smh

No it’s because Tongans are really not black, Melanesian means Black Islander for a reason. Tongans were never seen as black or they would’ve been labeled Melanesian. Tongans are Polynesian
We need to get over calling everyone "Black". It has no meaning. I don't care if the world forced it on us. We don't have to accept that empty label. People associate themselves with a culture and a land place, not a skin color. The idea of putting color labels on people came from the "West", from Babylon. We don't have to keep supporting those labels anymore. I am falsely labeled "Black American", but in reality I am Chatah-Cherokee on my mother's side, possibly Alabama Creek and "African" on my father's side. These names mean much more to me than just "Black". Let's stop telling other people who we think they are.

Well said, my father’s family is Cherokee and Saponi-Sioux from Florida and Georgia classified as Black/AA by the fed. While my mother is Chinese-Jamaican. I was raised as a Black American and feel no need to identify with “Africa” as I have no ties in my family tree that I can find, what’s the point? It’s not self-hate to be happy in your identity, quite the opposite in fact.
So my foster parents were Tongan and yea some Tongan can be mean to darker skinned people but most of them love and embrace people of color. The only time you see black Tongan is if they are mixed. Now Fijians are the black people of Polynesian people. Me growing up around Polynesians alone of people thought I was Fijian but I'm actually Cuban African American. I love my Polynesian brothers and sisters and hope to go to Tonga one day. Cheeeehoooooo. Malo
As a Pacific Islander, Fijians fall under the Melanesian category. Fijian don’t fall under the Polynesian rim. They’re three categories that are considered a Pacific Islander 1. Polynesia 2. Micronesia 3. Melanesia
I am from Papua New Guinea and even some Papua New Guineans from the coasts and islands do look like Fijians, Vanuatus, Solomon Islanders, Torres Strait Islanders, New Calendonians or the Aboriginal people of Australia and so on. Melanesian are dark skinned. Micronesians are more like the Asian and Polynesians are light skinned, most are tall and fat. Fijians are Melanesians and are a part of the Melanesian Spearhead Group.
The world is confused so much!!!being black is not crime, black nation are very rich with mineral resources, Gold, diamond, oil, Tanzanite, so much wealth,so people's who still think about race history things, that won't exist anymore, human is human, that is enough.
People need to understand the difference between being "black" of sub-saharan African and phenotypically "black" like Aboriginals in Australia and the Negritos of Asia.
he is not saying that all sub-Saharans are of the same ethnicity, he is just saying that the "black" phenotype or genes of sub-Saharan Africans is not the same as that of Australian aborigines and Melanesians, even in India there is a black native people, the "jarawa" but they are not the same as black Africans, the shape of their nose is different, their face is different, and their blackness is greater than that of native Africans. Every continent in the world has ethnic diversity, even Europe, but little is said about it in Europe, because nowadays Europeans are not interested in discussing ethnicity, people, especially Africans and Asians, must stop wanting to fight over racial and ethnic issues. this still generates enmity between many ethnic groups in Africa. People must know how to cultivate peace and not strife.
DNA tests do not reveal Subsaharan African ancestry with Tongans, Samoans, Maori, Cook Islanders, etc. It shows Polynesian and maybe Asian ancestry. ADOS /FBA people (American Descendants of Slavery /Foundational Black Americans) need to understand that just because another ethnic group has broad nostrils and full lips does not mean they are of Subsaharan African descent. There are some white people with Type 4C hair that have no Subsaharan African ancestry. DNA is complicated. Take a genetics class, take a geography class, and stop trying to force United States man-made pseudo scientific racist standards on the rest of the world.
It’s not just AA and it’s not every AA. You are just as ignorant if not more for this reductive, stereotypical comment. Maybe learn an adult level of nuance before attacking an entire ethnicity.
@@ThefinancegirlieBut it’s overwhelmingly coming from America. As a Papua New Guinean, I look at the label of "black" as being an African centric term. I am a Melanesia Pacific Islander or Black of other origin. I can also not classify myself black because of the historical connotations associated with it.
I understand what you said I do respect your choices. However, that's not what most of us Black people mean when we call ourselves Black. Most Black Americans are what Africans would call Colored. Then think twice. The right for People to define themselves is a quite recent and you should ask american natives, indios, africans if they had this right. Now it is about being Black or not you are ready to recognize it. But even the name Tonga is not sounding nothing but bantou.
Tell that to ex-president Obama. He definitely as bi- racial not like an DOS African American who are so mixed with Euro-DNA who mates with purely Euro DNA and have children, they are not biracial. This is incredibly misleading. As a Melanesian, an actual black Pacific Islander, we do not obsess over claiming Tongans or Polynesians as black. We are secure in our identity so we celebrate the different races of people in the Pacific. Tongans roughly have less than 15% Melanesian blood. BUT! This guy talking in the video is NOT a Black American 🇺🇸. So don’t put that off on America and Black Americans.. this guy sounds African.. my people, Black Americans did not make this video.
2 months after this video's release, I come across it. After watching the video and reading so many weird comments and takes. I gotta say that as a Tongan. I find it weird so many have a lot to say generalizing the whole of my people based off 1 or a few bad examples. The man said it in the video. The Tongan flag represents the blood of the Christ and Purity. Something he did not say was the official motto of Tonga. Which is, "God and Tonga are my Inheritance." or "Koe Otua mo Tonga, ko hoku tofi'a". Something lost on so many younger generations of Tongans these days. The first lessons I was taught growing up had to do with Church, and putting God first before every choice made. Racism or Colorism was not taught in my house and family. I learned that outside of my house and family. The old ways(from my perspective) has slowly dissapeared from how the world is today. When I was a kid in California, Tongan's and Samoan's got along and we all got along with our Black Brothers and Sisters. Just as we got along with our Asian and Mexican brothers and sisters. So sad that tribalsm is just flat out racism now. And being proud to be Tongan and just wanting to be that... Tongan. Is not enough for folks. Seeing folks who are not even Tongan attack Tongan's for not identifying as black is weird. But I also am not excusing Tongan's for their racism or borderline racist actions either. Gone are the 80s when it was a time that if 1 house on the block was bbq'ing... we all pitched in and made it a block party. I don't want to get on here as a Christian and tell folks to pray to God. Everyone is entitled to their values. But I'd just say for folks to Promote Love and Peace for each other. There is enough divide in the world.
what about black people not letting asains and polynesians and native indians embrace the side which they like and love more? lots of samoans and even thais embrace the other more than say black or white..

There are a lot of Polynesians and Melanesians who present as phenotypically “black”, and Aboriginal Australians, Tasmanians, “Negritos” all over Southeast Asia. In the Americas many American Indians in the United States were relabeled “negro”, “colored”, “free persons of color”, “black” and now “African-American” by both federal and state governments. This is publicly documented. No one in Tonga 🇹🇴 or any other part of the world should let their history or identity be colonized or absorbed into some esoteric global identity, ethnic differences, cultures and identities should be respected. Both from within and without.
the dislike of “dark skin” does not only stem from the colonization of the pacific which a lot of people like to blame but long before the white man came to our shores, dark skin was seen as lower class. In the pacific, the nobles or royalty were always served and stayed inside, rarely stepping into the sun unless needed to. It wasn’t so much as they “hated” dark skins but it was an obvious separation of rank. When colonizers came, that’s when heavy dislike came into the picture. But all in all, dark skin in the pacific (Polynesian) culture, has always been seen as Lower in rank. The reason why “hate” came into the picture, was because the half Polynesian + half white people were in a higher class than full blooded Polynesians. So you could basically “pass” for a half blood if you were light in complexion and given more “respect” and or human rights/say in everyday life. This does not go against the fact that Some people have grown to use this as an opportunity to be full on colorists/racists. We cannot blame the colonizers for our way of thinking if we do not move on from that mindset.

Tongans are not Melanesian so they aren’t classified as black. “Black” in that region refers to indigenous Australians and Melanesians, including Torres Strait islanders
@@briantakoboy5173 I’m not the person who classify Melanesians, it’s Europeans who always viewed these people as black. Furthermore, no where in history have tongans been classed as such. In particular Melanesia means islands of black people in Greek which emphasises their blackness even further.
Tongans isn't a race. I'm responding to some of the replies where people are saying that. Tongan, Samoan, and the Hawaiian natives are the same but just different to similar cultures and nationalities. Tonga is a nationality. Not a race. I reside on Westcoast in California. The Tongan and Samoan look very. Some look more Asian. Some look mixed with Black African. Others, i couldn't tell if they were Black or Tongan. The same is true with Samoan. There were certain things that stood out that made me ask. Even more so with the Fiji people who look even more Black African. And I've met my share. And their looks can vary, too. I used to go to school with this Black girl back who could pass for Tongan. And a lot of Japanese and Black mixed people can pass for Tongan and Samoan. It's funny because i saw a Samoan lady agreed with me when I'd said that this Japanese and African mixed woman could pass. The Samoan lady said that i was right because the Japanese and black mixed woman looks like people in her family. It's also possible that Asian aka mongoloid people aka Denisovan people mixed with Africans aka homisapiens some centuries ago and created a different type of genetics that makes it hard to tie directly to African and Asian mongoloid. Especially when I look at the people from Papua New Guinea who look even more Black. Anything is possible when we look at possible travel during the ice age, and each group, including the Neanderthal people, encountered each other and eventually copulated. The people of Solomon Islands look like a mixture of all 3. And for all that we know. There could be other groups nit related to the 3 that played a role.
@ilove100times I'll state it again. Denisovans possibly mixed with homisapiens. Similar to Neanderthal and homo-sapiens. No one really knows. As I'd stated already. I've seen my share of Tongan and Samoan, where sometimes I couldn't tell if they were Black or the other two. But they'd identified as the latter two. Again. I wouldn't be surprised if the two crossed paths during prehistoric times. No one really knows. But like the Papua New Guinea and many Fiji people, I have seen many who could pass for Black African and have been mistaken for Black.
"The genetic survey, produced by a collaborative team led by scholars at Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities, shows that Australia's aboriginal population sprang from the same tiny group of colonists, along with their New Guinean neighbours. Are all peoples' skin tones between very dark brown and very light brown, across Planet Earth? Is the source of the human "genetic bank" Africa? Is our genetic variation due to time, isolation, and environmental forces?
I struggle with the fact that "the Rulers" seem to always know the truth and we somehow seem to not know the truth. My question is this, how do they get to know the truth and "we" somehow seem to not know the truth? Another question is this, what are "we" doing with our time to be distracted to not know "the truth".
Afros weren’t even touted by Africans historically, the “Afro” is a hairstyle first introduced to the world by American icons like the Jacksons, Pam Grier, Fred Hampton and others during the Civil Rights era. Yet the “Afro” can be seen in the earliest photos of aboriginal Fijians, Hawaiians, Tasmanians, and even modern Solomon Islanders, Papuans, and Andaman Islanders. Some of whom have naturally blonde hair, calling it an Afro at this point is ridiculous in hindsight with this knowledge because it’s not a hairstyle originating in Africa or from African people.
We were dark skin yes. But lapita DNA genetics actually has more relations with South Asian than African. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Even the melanesians DNA is more similar to south Asian than African.

Thank you I've always thought this. They should leave those people alone
But didn't their ancestors migrate out of the continent? Ever since the Europeans traveled and destroyed the image of black people, everybody has been ashamed to identify with blackness or Africaness, it doesn't what we think, we can't change history and we can't change genetics
I agree also identifying yourself as African American without any proof you originally come from Africa is ridiculous

Just as we got along with our Asian and Mexican brothers and sisters. the dislike of “dark skin” does not only stem from the colonization of the pacific which a lot of people like to blame but long before the white man came to our shores, dark skin was seen as lower class. We cannot blame the colonizers for our way of thinking if we do not move on from that mindset.

again another lie you made was full polynesian there is no such thing as a polynesian say that.. just as we would say sonny bill willams as a half cast he is just seen as samoan.. the only time when in polynesia they make an issue of your race is when you resemble a black or fijian.. then the you get the phrase meauli.. which is more of an insult.. as thou you do not resemble the face of polynesia
stop pertending to be polynesian your whole post is a stuff up not knowing in hawaii they have a degrading name for mix race? if hawaiians have such high praise for white people why do the degrade hapas and hoales? and what polynesian are you??? by the way.. the ligthening of ones skin in hawaii.. was for marriage and was not only for nobles and royal where you getting your rubbish info from? this why blacks make great cults.. they read this shii and believe it.. stop lying ninja
They are clearly not black.

WHY WOULD YOU WANT OTHER PEOPLE TO BE YOUR RELATIVES??> DONT YOU HAVE ENOGH RELATIVES OF YOUR OWN WHO NEED YOUR HELP? FORGET FORCING OTHER PEOPLE INTO YOUR CULTURE! FOCUS ON YOURSELVES PERIOD!

I'm an African or Blackman in America, there's only one black man, the man in America (us) stop trying to get other people to join us, you don't need too!. We are unique, that we can't be associated with anyone else, we are on our own. So stop trying to have other people in our crew.... We are unique
🤜🤛
There are a people in East Asia considered Oceanic, that could be 'black' but not African. Studies of other Asian 'blacks' with dark skin and peppercorn hair, living on an island in India, confirmed that they aren't African as well.
Whether they are called black or not that’s their preference.
Everything came out of Africa and migrated outwards.
Nothing originated in Tonga or Samoa
@@clydejack1329 thanks for the nothing burger next. Do you actually think you're the only man who knows these set of facts. You added nothin
Fefehaka, I've lived in Tonga for over 10 years, interesting history and culture, learnt a lot about the history of South Pacific, Tongan should be amongst the richest people financially period ... I was told by some intellectuals that Tongans roots and origins came from the middle east, mind you that , missionaries have convinced Tongans that they belong to the lost tribes of Israel !!??? As for racism, indeed, 20 years lived and worked deep south USA, never encountered racism till I lived in Tonga ☺🙏
Where did you find the song in the beginning? I haven’t heard this rendition before
Tongans are not Melanesian so they aren’t classified as black. “Black” in that region refers to indigenous Australians and Melanesians, including Torres Strait islanders
Since when did you decide to classify Melanesians?
I totally agree!
"The genetic survey, produced by a collaborative team led by scholars at Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities, shows that Australia's aboriginal population sprang from the same tiny group of colonists, along with their New Guinean neighbours.
The research confirms the “Out Of Africa” hypothesis that all modern humans stem from a single group of Homo sapiens who emigrated from Africa 2,000 generations ago and spread throughout Eurasia"
Aborigines, Papuans Fijians, Filipinos, Chinese, Melanesians, Polynesians, Micronesians, Solomon Islands etc Been out of Africa for longer than anyone else on the Planet. Being a Black Collective is a new thing.
Tongans and Somoans do not consider themselves as "balcks". They'd rather be white or Asian. As for us Melanesians, we are Black no matter what. And. regardless, of the DNA haplogroups which can be manipulated by our oppressors so they can keep us separated, there is a deep connection with other blacks in America and Africa..
@@apin.zwazob4564 we ain't white or Asian either, we Polynesian. Boy your people left Africa 60,000 years ago, these africans are closer related to white people than they are to you. We're closer related to you than you are to the people of Africa. We are our own people stop worshipping other cultures when you've got a great one right here.
@logoutofmyaccountweirdo
Go believe the Whiteman who told us tonnes of lies just to keep us separated. Even their own genetic reports show variants of African Y-Chromosome E-M2, E35, E-M78 in PNG, and E1B1A. Yet, they choose to ignore these and instead discuss the P & S variants, which they classify as Australoids.
@@logoutofmyaccountweirdoonly reason some African related to some whites because white folks enslaved blacks Africans Afrikans tribes are not related to whites gtfoh 😂😂
Tongans and Samoans do not want to be white 😂 Wtf. Clearly you don’t know any in real life. Polynesians have a deep love for their culture and identity.
@@ambo9569 Decades ago when in Auckland, I told some Tongans about Roger Hau'afa that he was more a Papua New Guinean now, They retorted, "Oh, is he black?" That response was shocking and I can never forget that remark.
THEY ARE POLYNESIANS! Why are you trying to make everyone black?
If you see the ancient king and queen of Tonga you will know their racial history!
Tongans are not black, we’re literally on the other side of the globe from Africa. Europeans are genetically closer to Africans, Polynesians settled the most remote region on Earth our geographic isolation caused genetic isolation therefore we aren’t related to anyone but other Polynesians
I’m not sure I’ll buy into that cause if we go back to some of the other tribes and stuff that are from Africa, they look like them except the skin is lighter. And some of the Polynesians that are in this film, look like relatives of mine. And I don’t have any Polynesian ancestry. I don’t have any Asian ancestry. And these are people that you can track directly to my bloodline. I think people need to understand that we’re not trying to group you with us. We’re just saying that you have ancestry that links us together you’re not the same we’re not the same as some of those other groups that you mentionedare however similar and I’m pretty sure if we start looking at histories you might find more similarities there too. But we have to look at the history of all people that currently live in Africa as well.
I traveled to Alofa Tonga back in 1985 with the US Navy and I love the people and the island.
As a mixed race Indigenous/Irish Aussie , I would classify these people more as Beautiful, then Black.
Plus I Love All my Pacific Cousins...
Peace and Love from the Atherton Tablelands.
Black IS “BEAUTIFUL” you racist ass bi$&h!
FK you mean??
Polynesian isn't African, it's its own race. They have white colour and brown colour in their families. Definitely not African though.
No-one has ever mistaken them for African or black.
Tongans are Polynesian not black
Let them be who they say they are. So tired of categorizing people by their skin color - they are NOT crayons.
Thank you for the informative and interesting video
As an african, not everything is black and white..it reduces everyone to color..tongans are tongans,,i want to visit pacific islands so bad, including tonga , vanuatu, kiribati and aborigines in Australia, new zealand and New Calendonia
Tongans are Tongans. Not black.
I am black and those are not black people guys😡, stop forcing people to be Us Men . This is a shame
Who cares if they're black? What buisness of it to anyone outside of Tongans? Black Folks need to worry about thise who do identify as black and make that demographic stronger.
PNG is proud of our Leoshina, she is of a mixed heritage of Papuan and Bougainvillian. Highly intelligent human being and good will ambassador for our country, Papua New Guinea. Well done girl.
Thx for video..salute to Miss Pacific Islands Leoshina Kariha..very beautiful 🌹🌹🏆🏆
I’m Tongan! Definitely not black
They are a mixture
Im fijian and half tongan , it does not matter balck or white uso , at the end of the day we all pacific islanders.
I have no idea why your doing this film
There is all types of people in all countries
It’s the attitude and characteristics of a person that defines they are as an individual
Note : colour is not what separates us
What comes out of one Tongans mouth does not make the rest of us the same
The way we are raised and a person’s characteristics regardless of culture or race or religion or ethnicity
There is a person’s with the same knowledge and experience and wisdom in that country
COLOUR HAS NO PART
PART OF US JUST HAPPENS TO BE COLOUR
redo the film but more of what you don’t see rather than what you see
So wrong in many levels
Hello Tonga. I visted there in 2019. Such a lovely island and nice people
and by the way in Samoa or Tonga even the Thai to Philippines... if you look like a fijian or african you not going to be desired or liked.. and stop trying to force us to embrace the black man features just cause we love!! our own.. simple as that..
In NATURE... There are many species who look similar but have genetic uniqueness, like the KOALA Bear is not a Bear, looks like a Bear......but it is a "Masupial". There are plants who can look like insects like the Bee Orchid. The Dolphin is not a fish.. they Mammals. The Platypus is not a Duck, they are Mammals. Geographically Polynesia is on the opposite side of the world from Africa, so just because a people look something similar to YOU...they still have nothing to do with being BLACK, which is not a race in the first place. Black is not a Race, its a color. Melanesians are lighter than Africans and have genetically Blonde hair. They have been in the Asia Pacific for thousands of years and just because your political needs want Polynesians and Melanesians on your side, we are not. We are Independent people and none of your concern.
melanesians and africans look alike while tongans are good looking people I mean how come black people in those countries are not as beautiful as people in tonga???

When should we cease using the misnomer of black, red, white, yellow people? Who started this misnomer? WHY? Are all peoples' skin tones between very dark brown and very light brown, across Planet Earth? Is the source of the human "genetic bank" Africa? Is our genetic variation due to time, isolation, and environmental forces?
What beautiful Asiatic sisters and brothers.
Of course they are NOT black.
Why would they call themselves black and disrespect their/our ancestors?
Why does it matter if they are black or not?
Interesting,in Zimbabwe we have a tribe that lives in the north western part called the TONGA people as well.
I struggle with the fact that "the Rulers" seem to always know the truth and we somehow seem to not know the truth. My question is this, how do they get to know the truth and "we" somehow seem to not know the truth? Another question is this, what are "we" doing with our time to be distracted to not know "the truth".
Lovely people, friendly people, beautiful country. Lots of brown folks but so what and who cares? I recommend the Billfish Club for a cold beer.
I see some Afros, lol! But it's all good they are Pacific Islanders!
I see em too
@larry_saytee Beware of the highly ignorance in these comments!!!
