15:15 No, back when this aired, we were NOT supposed to go in our parents' rooms. It didn't necessarily completely stop me, but I had to go in there when they weren't home and then leave everything exactly the way it was.
I never understood why parents would say "Stay in your room while I'm gone" and never realize that they can't enforce that while they're gone.

22:48 Yes, that plant was turning into a plant copy of Margaret because Margaret's blood got inside of it. So, the real Margaret wasn't affected when she cut her hand on that plant. It was the plant that was affected.
23:11 I don't think that's correct. I think, after they killed plant father and rescued Dr. Marek, they also killed plant Margaret. I can't prove that, but they obviously didn't want plant Margaret to grow to powerful and have the same thing happen all over again but with Margaret instead of the dad, so I'd imagined they used the weed killer to kill plant Margaret while it was weak. So I think that this Margaret is the real Margaret. According to R.L. Stine, the fact that the flowers were saying "I'm your father" was meant as a hint that the plant after made more plant copies of the father and put them in the yard.
I thought it was pretty clear, as soo as we saw the tied-up dad, that he was the real dad. I mean, the dad we saw throughout the episode had been eating plant food and trying to make the kids eat plant food. Why would the real dad do that? And Margaret saw that dad had leaves growing out of his head and green stuff coming out of his arm: those were pretty obvious hints. And Margaret had been complaining about how the changes the dad had been going through: which makes sense if the dad we'd been seeing wasn't the real one but doesn't make sense if he was.
Or, either of the kids could have just sprayed both of them. The real father won't be affected by weed killer.
This was my favorite episode. Probably because my dad was a lot like the plant dad. He screamed at us over minor things. And he never fed us any meat because he was a vegetarian, so we only ate plant-based food. So, this was the most relatable episode for me. And you make a great point about us having to know the person, so if we see 2 lookalikes, we know who the real one is.
