Two of us couldn’t lift the Supermax head onto the stand. It’s still sitting on the floor in my shop. I’m going to install a hoist. Hope you didn’t hurt yourself

Lol, probably shouldn’t have done it.
But was excited to get it up and running.

Holy Cow! Excited or not that’s a huge lift for 1 man….I tried doing that and quickly figured I’d prefer not to end up in hospital…kudo’s to you though

@@evermore8888 I bought an I- beam trolly for $39 that roll across the steel I beam in my basement. Cheap chain hoist and it was still pretty unwieldy to get aligned on the stand.

I rigged up something similar when putting the 5HP motor on top of cyclone vac.
Gave the kids a lesson about pulleys😄

I kept lifting up one edge of the box and sliding boards underneath until the box was raised up off the floor by 28 inches or so. Then I cut the box away and picked up the lighter end and slid it onto the stand, then lifted the motor end and slid it onto the stand. Then removed the plywood boards from the bottom and pulled them off. Then slid the motor assembly frame around until it lined up with the bolt holes.
