- Check this out! It has become such an easy way for me to protect my raised bed produce from birds and animals. It will serve well for shade cloth and frost protection, too.

You can also make your own clips from left over pipe. Cut to size you need your clips to be. Cut a section out of each clip length wise. Voila.
Yes, that works, too! I like these because the turn up at the edge, helping me to remove them more easily.
I love how you did those clips for the bird netting. What a great idea 🌸
Thank you so much ❤️
What a great idea. I bought those clamps for the hoop house covers for my beds. It's good to know they work for betting too. Great DIY video Kathy.
Thank you!
Amazing 😍🇦🇪
thanks!
I agree those clip s are genius...another job well done, and those huge berries look delish. Hope you are enjoying the summer.
Thank you-I am!
Your project turned out awesome once again! Great idea and video is very nicely done! Good creative taste and inspiring!
Thank you so much Deb! You are always so kind with your words 💖
You come up with the BEST ideas Cathy!
Thank you!! ☺️
Hello from local Minnesotan!
Hey Ricky 👋
Love this idea! Practical and beautiful! Your strawberries look great! 💚
Thank you! I observed a lot of other ways people were doing to cover their beds and this is what I came up with that works for mine. So glad I did!
Genius!!
Lol, yep 😆
Btw...ABS plastic pipe doesn't degrade in sunlight as quickly as the PVC does and the black color is less visually intrusive than white if you ever decided you wanted that.
Thanks
Depending on how many clips you got, painting just enough for the bird netting while leaving the rest white, and I see the very end as I type that you did just that. 😊 Thank you for the idea, I got the 9 gauge wire to do my hoops on my beds and this will finish it off. It work for the fine bug netting to protect my brassicas but also the agrobond for frost. Plus you gave me an idea on how to cover my Greenstalk strawberry tower with netting. Make an X hoop with the wire into the top of the planter and drape the netting down the sides tucking the excess under the wheelbase.
Sounds great!
It really is genius!
Thank you!!
Those look great , good project , thanks for sharing , God bless !
You’re welcome ☺️
Clever
Thanks 😊
thats brilliant
Thanks! It's worked very well :)
Fantastic idea Cathy!
Thank you!

Nice but I have to figure how to do this on cement block beds
Hmmmm, if you figure it out, let me know because I'm going to be building some cement block beds this year.
What are the clips called? I want to order some too.

or, just use a few nails to accomplish the exact same thing.
Nails could not only rip the netting, but be a hazard for injury. This system works really well.
@@northstarprepsteader I've used nails for this purpose for decades. They work just fine. You can also use 3M Command hooks mounted upside-down. Many ways to skin this cat. Just offering an alternative that isn't so labor intensive.
