Hello! Thanks for clicking on my stop-motion movie! The first one of 2024! This started out as a short episode of an event in my dolls' lives, but after I finished writing the script and timed it out... I realized it was going to be a lot longer. I then assumed it would end up being significantly shorter due to changes while filming, but the video is still quite long. Additionally, since it took me the whole summer to produce (notice how the plot begins on the last day of school, in JUNE), I guess it has become my summer movie! It is my hope that the plot makes sense... after working with a project so long, continuity and storylines become a blur to me. If a weird line or missing context aren't corrected by the time I'm well into filming, they will never be.
I'm actually really proud of the writing in this stop-motion! I believe I made some okay jokes and carried the story well. I improve drastically every time I make a video, and it's good to see progress in writing, filming, and editing in such a long movie! This is the longest one I've ever made. 😬
The inspiration for this AGSM was the bird prop itself, an Our Generation prop which my mom saw in the clearance end-cap at Target while I was still in school! She recommended I get it, because something very cool could come out of it. A few days later, I came up with this plot after completing one of my final exams (which is why the dolls are also completing their finals). The plot follows Felicity trying to hide the fact that she has adopted another pet.
All in all, I hope the AGSM is enjoyable, or at the very least understandable. The voiceover is, as always, questionable (but in a way that I'm proud of because I did my best!).
