In all my years listening to O&A I've never come across this clip, and I'm sort of disappointed I'll never have the opportunity to listen to it for the first time again.
I don't actually think Opie is trying to wreck this bit, I think he is throwing the callers in to help buy them some time. Ant & Jim are comedy geniuses, but, even they sometimes need time to think. The callers give them a minute to regroup. I know there were times when Opie fucked up the show, I just don't think he did that here.
