- If you thought Junebug was whimsical, with an imaginary 8-year-old child popping up everywhere, this week’s new movie tops it with an entire establishment called Dream Central! And from the reviews I've seen, either you loved it or you did not. There wasn’t as much in-between this time. Of course I’ll be sharing my own thoughts in today’s recap and review of My Dreams of You.

Two movies with a similar premise that are far better than this one are " Timeless Love" and "In My Dreams". Both are on Hallmark Movies Now.

I very much agree with your rating. However, I have to say that the first half of the movie bored me a lot, the second half I loved it and the ending was great. It definitely gets high marks for the creativity of the story, but maybe the actors could have been better. Without going any further, Becky the older sister, I would have liked them to switch roles with the main character. This actress, Erica Deutschman, has (as far as I know) one movie with her as the lead on Hallmark and she is fabulous (Cheerful Xmas one of my favs in the genre) and I would have liked her better as the lead in this one. Overall, very good movie and I applaud the philosophical reflection in your review. To my taste, JUNEBUG was better.
Spoiler: You are going to like the movie in my neighborhood in Costa Rica. It has outstanding visuals, photography, handling of exteriors and non-human protagonists that steal the show (it has been available for days on the streaming platform).

My initial assessment was to pass. However, based on your 4 star review, I gave it a try. Nonetheless after 30 minutes it was a no go. Previous commentator was solid, both previous themed movies were far superior and those I would rank a 3. I found something dark about dream central and mental manipulation that was slightly disturbing. David
I can certainly understand that, too. Hopefully, this next movie coming up will be much better!
