Just saw this performance. So awesome to see my 2 favorite singers, Dan Boeckner and Britt Daniel, team up swapping lead guitar. Man I hope they get a chance to work together again.
jim trapp Divine Fits - One of the many projects of the singer Dan Boeckner. Check out "Handsome Furs" and his newest project "Operators" (or "Operators the Band")
Funny, I hear the Strokes in Television, Blondie, Velvet Underground, Tom Petty, Pixies, Richard Hell, hell pretty much half the punk/new wave bands that I know. It's sad that so many ripped off that Strokes "sound." /sarcasm
wdamian Good sir, you are correct on the influences the Strokes and the like have. But I say, what better bands to look to? I commend and applaud bands that want to follow in those bands footsteps.
Also, Britt Daniel (the guy who sang the second song) was releasing his third album with Spoon around the same time the Strokes were releasing their debut.
Would love it if these guys got a second album together.
this band is ferocious

@logitek256: The singer who sings Ain't that the way is also the singer of Spoon.
Never heard of these guys before either. My musical appreciation has been severally truncated. =8O
Can't find anybody named "Natural History" on You Tube. Did I get that name wrong?

The guy who sings "Chained to Love" used to sing for Wolf Parade - a band out of Vancouver.
Wolf Parade are awesome.

The Strokes are great, but these guys/gals could run circles around them.
Also, Britt Daniel (the guy who sang the second song) was releasing his third album with Spoon around the same time the Strokes were releasing their debut.
The Strokes could dream of being this good
