    My mom has a 2001 Caravan SE sitting in her driveway, she wanted me to sell it. But been thinking of keeping it now since it’s the little 4 banger and gets decent mpg… lol

    These cars won’t die, but there might not be any body left by the time it does.

      I agree. As of December 2022, I still see at least 10 to 20 of these 01-07 Chrysler Vans daily when I'm out driving around Ohio Valley. I also still see quite a few of the 96-00 Vans.

      @@hakeemsd70m cool, the older ones are much rarer where I live.

      @@itsamilkshake Yeah, I'm always happy to see these vans rolling around. I hope to own one someday, since I'm not sure I'll be able to find a clean Chevy Lumina APV. Of course, the Chrysler Vans are better.

    I worked on these for years I don’t remember ever seeing a 3.5 in one. Did they reneg on making it or was it an option nobody took?

      They canned it thinking buyers would get confused by the "better" engine having less displacement. Yet they did that anyway with the Pacifica, go figure.

    • @JK-tq4qf
      @JK-tq4qf Рік тому

      There was never a 3.5L option on the Chrysler vans. It was a 2.4 4 cyl, Mitsubishi 3.0L V6, and Chryslers 3.3L and 3.8L engines....

    Back before crossovers, when vehicles were purpose built 😄 these sure were comfortable to ride in, shame they weren’t reliable

      Transmission failures were common with these minivans.

    • @JK-tq4qf
      @JK-tq4qf Рік тому +1

      @@applepoop10 Unfortunately. Yep. I had two (1st was a 2000 Cypress Green Grand Caravan SE) and when I bought my 2nd one (03 Grand Caravan ES) I knew when I bought it sooner or later I'd probably have to replace the transmission, and I did lol. and did in the first one, too. But It was comfortable, had a sunroof chrome and black it was a sharp looking van and had that pounding infinity stereo in it from factory, it was a pleasure other than the transmission.

      @@fernandorocha8459 they are the best totally agree. That is a dominant segment in the automotive industry. Had a rental of the Pacifica one and the was really nice. Super quiet and peppy for a van. I’m just not a van guy for the space and room. A GC I have but like the Wagoneer. It was great as a rental and space with luggage.

    Most round and aerodynamic vans of the 2000s, too bad most of those are rusting out or scraped and in junkyards.
    The metal of those dodge and chrysler vehicles don't hold up that well from that era, because of the corrosion and rusting issues
