Great analysis. The point one of you (not Gemma) makes about re-use of the word 'him' three times in Escapism, is I think a deliberate device in RAYE's songwriting. She does the same in 'Thrill is Gone' with the word 'better' at the end of the first three lines. It strikes the listener as odd, but then has the effect of drawing attention to what she's saying. Compare the style to Amy Winehouse's use of very simple one syllable rhymes of words that almost sound the same but aren't. RAYE takes it a step further with words that are the same!
She's going to be a mega star.
She says the title come before the songs cos she had a list of titles for her album.
