wow I was literally listening to this episode a few hours ago and thinking please there has to be an animatic of this scene out there! This is wonderful thank you for making it
God dammit. I always thought it was lame for people to say "this is exactly how I envisioned them!" because in reality usually your mind doesn't picture a coherent thing when you haven't seen a reference for it but more like a general concept of what it is (sort of like how if you only hear someone's voice in a lets play it throws you off to finally see their face). And now I am the lame one because now when I try to think of what the characters looked like before I fell in love with these designs, I can't.
Well, then draw your own version. If you want to have your own Taako, there's nothing stopping you from trying to express it. You don't need worry about whether or not you can draw. If you're designing something meant for yourself you don't need to make it good, just yours.
12ft Narcoleptic Panda my point was that I like these characters designs so much, their image has overwritten the abstract, incoherent, and intangible one your brain fills in for you when you don't have a reference to voices. This is what usually happens when people say "this is exactly how I envisioned them." They believe the image matches the design in their head when in reality it's their brain that grabs the image and replaces and connects it with what they associate the characters to look like. It came across that you thought I disliked the designs because they didn't match what I thought they should look like. This was more of a commentary on the comments you see on every TAZ animatic saying "wowee, you nailed it, this is how I thought they should look" on top of me trying to include a compliment to the creator's work.
@Providence83 It wasn't that you didn't like the designs; you just sounded like you were frustrated that the preexisting designs for Tres Horney Bois make it harder to picture your own version, which is fine. Sorry if I came across as offended. That wasn't my intent.
I love Taako's reaction to being called a "master wizard". Absolutely beautiful.
HIS LAUGH KILLS ME EVERYTIME
I love your Taako so much, my dude. 10/10.

12ft Narcoleptic Panda I don't think you completely understood what I was trying to get across with my original comment.
@Providence83
Then why don't you reiterate? What about your comment do you believe I got wrong?
