They don't have to show their baby ofc :) There's way too many creeps on the internet + children shouldn't be used by their parents for money (not saying that they'll do smt like this, there are people who do this though) + imagine being famous as a child and having to live a stressful life due to that (exactly what Dumbledore used as another reason to drop Harry off at the Dursley's lol)

Last time i went to the vet they told me not to talk to my dog or pet her because if you do theyre trying to fight the sedative meaning it will take longer for them to fall asleep. But the urge is too strong! This was harder for me than for her 😂

I asked a vet years back why they don't allow pet parents to stay with our dogs or cats during their sedation. He said that many people freak out when d or c collapse from sedation. Evidently folks think their dogs or cats have died. Just repeating what I was told. I insisted on staying.
I like the concept, but was always told that sedation should be a last resort bc it can be so risky for animals and can cause health problems later. It's bc every animal metabolizes medication differently, so it's not a science like it is with humans. I had to sedate my dog in the past, and remember how concerned they were, wanting it to be the very last option bc of the possibility of complications. For sedation vets, I could see giving a Xanax-like med to calm them (like what's given for airplane trips), but fully knocking a dog out for a shot and maybe blood draw seems overboard. Then again, I'd love to be sedated every time I have to go to the Dr, so we'll start seeing this more and more for both our animals and human medicine.

Its so great the way they look after the dogs there. I did a weeks work at a vets and on my last day i helped a dog fall asleep after sedation. Becuase the dog was so scared of the vets and so uncomfortable being alone he was resisting sleep and refused to lie down. He got to the point of slowly falling down and immediately being knocked out. If they allowed owners and no fear, that dog may have gone under nicely. Great practice that hopefully spreads :)
Oh damn that description made me remember when we had to put our dog down a few years ago… she was 18 and basically couldn’t move and lived in constant pain… still she was the best dog ever…

Unfortunately it's a liability issue. Owners tend to be in their dogs faces as they are going to sleep and a dog could accidentally bite their owner. There are also very anxious owners who make their dogs more anxious
His purpose was teaching. He taught all those kids. He taught himself a lofe lesson. He taught 22 to have faith and jump. Paino was his skill and he had fun with it
