i am a Christian, and went back to the Bible. It was verses 39-40 not 38, a little error there. Regarding 3 days in the fish belly versus 3 days in the heart of the earth, it was just a matter of the sign as positional status of each person for such duration, nothing is linked to being dead or alive. As far as Jesus was buried for 3 days in the grave equally to the timeframe by Jonah, He already fulfilled the prophecy. That was a wrong interpretation by Dr Naik, in my opinion.

So basically most of the Christians follow Paul’s teachings more than they follow Jesus’ (peace be upon him) teachings.
I’d agree with that. I only go out of my own experience and relationship with God, unlike most Christians who solely use the Bible (mostly Paul’s work in the NT) as their benchmark for everything. I don’t really know or care if Jesus is God for certain, I just love him and know that he has healing power. He was perhaps an avatar or manifestation of God on Earth or maybe something else. I only look for the truth and I don’t like to meddle too much in religious teachings since they are very skewed.
Paul was a very fierce person and it carried over after the conversion. This is a guy who used to go around killing people for their faith. He took that sort of aggressiveness and assertiveness and put forth the current Christian narrative about Jesus, which is not entirely accurate with the real Jesus. The only homophobic things in the New Testament come from Paul, yet Christians treat this as ‘absolute truth’.

Did you know that there are a lot of differences between Christianity and Islam.
First, and foremost, the two different books, the Quran and the Bible.
Second, the two different founders, Mohammed and Jesus Christ.
Third, the two different deities, the God of the Bible, and Allah of Islam.

Sixthly, the two different declarations. In clear words, the Quran denies the crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. And the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is the focal point of the Bible. Take the cross from the Bible, and the Bible is a dead book. But the Quran says, "they did not kill Him, nor crucified Him."
And finally, Islam and Christianity speaks of two different eternal destinies. The Quran is very clear, and as we can see in surat mariam , and surat mariam is surat number19, and in verse 66, "and man says, "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" And then it ended saying here, "There is not one of you, Muslims. There is not one of you, Muslims, but will pass over hell." I shall repeat, the Quran is telling the Muslims, "There is not one of you, but will pass over hell." This is with your Lord, a decree which must be accomplished. When you read such verses in the Quran, you should ask yourself this question: Why would anyone embrace a religion that will take him to hell? It is very clear, it is a decree that god will accomplish for every Muslim.When you go to the Bible, the Lord Jesus Christ said that we have in Him eternal life. "Whoever hears my voice, and believes in me, he has been transformed from this to life." There is eternal life to the Christian. And in the Quran there is a different destination. These are the differences between Christianity and Islam.

It's from every translation and of course the new testament because the old testament is before Jesus walked the earth.

I've not even seen a reference historically to the idea that beliefs about Jesus's divinity are because the Bible was "corrupted" until Islam.

Greek, Roman, pagan, Jewish writings ALL claim there was a man named Jesus who was crucified. Quran is the ONLY writing, that claims to be historical and denies that historical fact.

A) why would Allah allow someone to appear like Jesus to be on the cross and thereby mislead billions of people who lived and died as Christians and they be cast into hell for committing shirk?
Since allah is all knowing and all wise, couldn't he come up with a better plan??
B) Why did Jesus while on the cross (or the guilty person on the cross resembling Jesus) say the following :
a) And now Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began (John 17:5)
b) Forgive the sins of the good thief and say to him, that he will with him in paradise today. (Luke 23:43)
c) Father, forgive them, for they donot know what they're doing (Luke 23: 34).
How can a guilty person possibly say this? I.e. if It wasn't Jesus on the cross, then whoever was on the cross had to be a guilty person (like Judas for eaxmple). Why on earth would a deceitful Judas pray for forgiveness of his murderers and not forgiveness for his own sins??

"The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs." (John 19:32-33)
The verse creates more problem than it solves. It shows that the NATURAL EXPECTATION of the soldiers who were used to the crucifixion process was that the 'criminals' should still be alive at the time. Only Jesus, contrary to their expectation was dead while the other crossmates were alive. Pilate had also expressed his DOUBT that Jesus had died so soon.
Historical from Jewish and Roman historians, we now know that crucifixion was meant to cause a slow and painful death. Josephus gives the story that one of his friend lasted up to 3 days on the cross and didn't die.
So in summary, the soldiers THOUGHT he was dead.
Again you are forgetting that the verse you are quoting is not a red letter Bible, neither from God nor from jesus himself. It is just an observation of people written by John. So it could not necessarily what happened in reality.
Zakir Naik might be wrong, Jesus was substituted as stated by Jerald Dirks mathew 27,17 says there were 2 Jesus! early christians said simon of sirene was crucified... so this is open in bible as well!

If you watch the video carefully Dr Zakir tried to quote what Jesus said in the Gospel of Matthew chapter 12 and he raised a good point saying that if Jesus said that Jonah's profecy will be fulfilled, then Jesus must not die.
Here is the verse..
'Matthew 12:38-39-40-41-42'
38 Then some of the experts in the law along with some Pharisees answered him, "Teacher, we want to see a sign from you."
39 But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
40 For just as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish for three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.
41 The people of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented when Jonah preached to them - and now, something greater than Jonah is here!
42 The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon - and now, something greater than Solomon is here!
In the middle of their conversation (4:18) when the guy that asks told Dr Zakir that the Bible says Jesus was Dead then Dr Zakir asks where ..
To answer this question, if you go to same gospel Matthew and read chapter 16 verse 21 to 24 you'll find Jesus telling his disciples that he will be killed but will be raised from dead on the third day. EVEN MORE, read how Jesus responded to Satan who was behind Peter's thought which was simply 'JESUS SHALL NOT DIE'. Do you get it now who is behind this type of thoughts (a thought that suggests Jesus did not die on the cross nowadays) ????

For the next 600 years, Allah sat back and watched all these people converting to, and following Christianity; a religion that was started by his deception, but he did not bother to lift a finger to correct anything until 600 years later, when he sent Muhammad with the Quran - to sort out the mess that he himself (Allah) had created.
Let's look at it from another point of view; Allah sent Jesus to 'fix' the errors that had crept into Judaism, but then undoes any corrections that were made from the intervention (and Jesus' message) by making it appear (in the end) that Jesus was crucified and then raised from the dead. This negates the entire purpose of sending Jesus. This leaves the people with not only one alternative to Allah's 'true' religion, but two; Judaism or Christianity which entails (among other things) following the message of Jesus, which Allah himself had corrupted by making it appear that he had risen from the dead. So for 600 years, Allah's pure religion was not to be found on this Earth and now (thanks to Allah's deception) had two competing faiths to deceive the people and tempt them away from the 'straight path'. Let me please help this poor Muslim with the Truth. I guess my first questions are: Wasn't Jesus using an a analogy in Matthew 12:38? An analogy is "a correspondence or partial similarity." In other words, the two things aren't exactly the same. After all, Jesus didn't go inside a great fish did He? No. It was an analogy to point to the fact that He was in the Earth for three days, but then arose.
My second question is, if you believe Matthew 12:38, why do you not believe the rest of Matthew that says: "Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost." A few years after the crucifixion, a Jewish Historian recorded, Pilate had Christ "condemned... to the cross." (Flavious Josephus, Antiquities)... Then in 73 A.D., a non-Christian Stoic Philosopher asked, "What advantage did the Jews gain from executing their wise King?" (The Letter of Mara Bar-Serapion).
Then, early in the 2nd century, a non-Christian Roman Senator wrote, "Christus... was put to death by Pontius Pilate." Crucifixion of Jesus Christ - A Myth
Before the arrival of Jesus (pbuh) and in the Old Testament of the Bible, GOD has always forgiven sins even without any blood sacrifice for anyone who sincerely repented and turned away from their sins. If Jesus died, then he died in vain. There really was no need for Jesus to die for the sins of mankind when GOD has always forgiven sins through sincere repentance, and He continues to do so till this day because His Mercy and Nature to #forgive doesn’t change. There’s enough evidence in both the OT and NT of Bible that repentance of sins is required upon everyone in order to be forgiven. Even if a Christian believes that Jesus died for their sins, they still have to repent for their new sins, right? Yes…so this means that Jesus’ alleged crucifixion wasn’t a full sacrifice, so again he died in vain!
JESUS WAS RAISED UP:
According to Islam Jesus (pbuh) was raised up to God alive and was never crucified. God carried Jesus up to heaven in a whirlwind at some point during Jesus’ life like he did with Elijah. Whether or not God did this because Jesus faced a crucifixion is uncertain. The crucifixion of Jesus is not an attested historical event and may have been nothing more than Paul’s invention. However, if Jesus were in some kind of trouble, God would have raised him up before the evil deed was inflicted on him. As a former Christian I know this is not easy to accept at first glance. In fact, when I first heard this I could not believe the audacity to make such a statement! That changed when I learned that the phenomenon of pulling prophets off the face of the earth had happened before in the Bible. There could never be a better time for it to happen again.
“And when Allah said: O Isa (Jesus), I am going to terminate the period of your stay (on earth) and cause you to ascend unto Me and purify you of those who disbelieve and make those who follow you above those who disbelieve to the day of resurrection; then to Me shall be your return, so I will decide between you concerning that in which you differed.” [Qur’an 3:55]
HERE ARE SOME OTHER SITUATIONS IN THE BIBLE WHERE GOD DID THIS BEFORE:
“Enoch was sixty-five years old when he begot Metuselah. After the birth of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God for three hundred years, and had other sons and daughters. He lived three hundred and sixty-five years. Enoch walked with God, and then was seen no more, because God had taken him away.” [Genesis 5:21-24]
“They went on, talking as they went, and suddenly there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire, which separated them from one another, and Elijah was carried up to heaven in a whirlwind. At the sight Elisha cried out, My #father, my father, the chariot and the horsemen of Israel! and he saw him no more. He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.” [2 Kings 2:11-13]
HERE’S A CLEVER CONTRADICTION REGARDING THE RESURRECTION:
“And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the ghost.” [Luke 23:46]
According to above verse Jesus (pbuh) gave up the spirit to God. If Jesus is part of the Trinity of God, the son, and the Holy Ghost, then why is it that he had to give up his spirit to God which is in #Heaven if he is the same person? Did he borrow the spirit while God was spiritless in Heaven? #Astaghfirullah!
“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not: for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say vnto them, I ascend vnto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and your God.” [#John 20:17]
This is said to have occured only after the#resurrection, but it is apparent that according to this verse Jesus had not yet ascended, contradicting the verse of #Luke 23:43 when Jesus said to the theif on the cross; “TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN#PARADISE“.
So where was Jesus between the time he gave up his spirit to God and the time he returned back to earth if he never ascended in the first place? Isn’t this a clear contradiction and something to ponder over? This suggests that Jesus (pbuh) never died. And it is also clear in this text that Jeus has a God so he himself cannot be God!
THEY PLOTTED AND PLANNED BUT #ALLAH ALSO PLANNED:
“And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah” but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but it appeared to so to them [the resemblance of ‘Isa (Jesus) was put on another man (and they killed that man). and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not-nay, Allah raised him up (with his body and soul) unto Himself. ok. so Jesus was not in the grave for 3 days and 3 nights. How does that prove that Jesus was not crucified?? Am i missing something? How does the time a body lies in the grave prove crucifixion or not?

Jesus came to earth to be God's lamb for the remission of sin. That's why he came. He died on the cross and rose again. If he can come back to life, so can we! Believe on him and you shall be saved.

Zakir Naik here is relying solely on one prediction made by Jesus found in Matthew 12.
But here are other predictions also made by Jesus from his own mouth:
In Matthew 16 Jesus again says in verse 4 "An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah." But he says later in the very same chapter in verse 21 "From that time Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised."
This same saying is repeated in Mark and Luke:
Mark 8:31 "And he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes and be killed, and after three days rise again."
Luke 9:22 "The Son of Man must qsuffer many things and rbe rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on sthe third day be raised."
Not long after Jesus says this he says it again in a different setting in the following chapters of Matthew and Mark:
Matthew 17:22,23 "As they were gathering in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him, and he will be raised on the third day.” And they were greatly distressed."
Mark 9:30-32 "They went on from there and passed through Galilee. And he did not want anyone to know, for he was teaching his disciples, saying to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men, and they will kill him. And when he is killed, after three days he will rise.” But they did not understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him."
There are further predictions in Matthew 20 and John 13 and John 17 but these mentioned above are sufficient to see that we must interpret the sign of Jonah as being the time spent in the tomb and not the whether Jesus was dead or alive. And I think Zakir Naik knows this because at 5:10 he drops the three days and three nights from the verse when repeating the sign of Jonah.
Do not be fooled by this man. He claims that Jesus put all his eggs in one basket when talking about the sign of Jonah when clearly he did not. Zakir Naik can only fool you if you do not read and study for yourself. Read the Gospels and see for yourself.

In this verse Allah's caused Jesus to die and purify him from those who denied the truth ,it is refers to his crucifixion, which caused his death, At the height of his ministry and miracles, many Jews came to believe in Jesus as the Messiah, Jewish rabbi's feared Jesus because of his growing followers. With the help of Judas Iscariot, Roman soldiers arrested Jesus, and He was put on trial for claiming to be the king of the Jews. According to Roman law, the punishment for rebellion against the king was death by crucifixion.The Roman governor Pontius Pilate was reluctant regarding the punishment for Jesus. Pilate could find no wrong in Jesus, yet he wanted to give the people what they wanted, and that was the death of Jesus. Pilate washed his hands in front of the crowd to symbolize that he was not taking responsibility for the bloodshed of Jesus and then handed Jesus over to be beaten and lashed.
The Prophet mention about a prophet saying "Umar ibn Hafs narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Al-A’mash narrated to us, he said: Shaqiq narrated to me, he said: Abdullah said: It is as if I am looking at the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, narrating the story of a prophet from among the prophets whose people beat him until he bled, and he was wiping the blood from his face and saying: O Lord, forgive my people, for they do not know.

There are many pieces of evidence in the Bible which reasonably prove the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
To suggest that Jesus wasn’t actually killed in the crucifixion you quoted Jesus’ words in Matthew 12:39-40, which says, “A wicked and adulterous generation demands a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights.”
I can see where someone could interpret Jesus’ words to mean that, like Jonah, Jesus would be alive for three days. But this isn’t the intended meaning of this verse, since it doesn’t agree with many other words from Jesus Himself. In your video, you challenged the young Christian man to quote ‘red letter’ references (Jesus’ own words) that show Jesus was actually killed in the crucifixion. Here are two red-letter references where Jesus plainly prophesied that He would be killed in the crucifixion and then resurrected from the dead:
Matthew 16:21, “From that time on Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.”
Mark 10:33-34, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes. They will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles, who will mock Him and spit on Him and flog Him and kill Him. And after three days He will rise again.”
According to many Muslims, much of the Bible has been corrupted. Therefore, I’ll also present you proofs from Quran-accepted sources. The Quran advises Muslims to honor the Torah and Ingil. There are seven annual ‘appointed times’ in the Torah:
● Passover
● Unleavened Bread
● Firstfruits
● Pentecost
● Trumpets
● Atonement
● Tabernacles
Jesus fulfilled the first four of these exactly according to the Hebrew calendar. Here is how he did this:
● On the Passover day, Jesus was crucified between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is the same time when the Passover lamb was slaughtered by the priest. Jesus is our Passover lamb, the “Lamb of God”.
● Jesus is the Unleavened Bread, as he led a life full of purity and righteousness.
● God fulfilled Firstfruits by resurrecting Jesus’ dead body. Jesus is the “first fruits from the dead” in 1 Corinthians 15:20.
● The Holy Spirit filled 120 disciples on the day of Pentecost, fulfilling this feast.
● The fulfillment of these prophetic, scriptural events is God’s proof to mankind that Jesus was crucified to death and was resurrected.
So, Jesus’ own prophetic words, along with the fulfillment of the first four appointed times, are proof that Jesus was crucified to death and then resurrected from the dead.
