That composer definitely likes that chord proggresion. Ala Fallout 4. It embodies the wonder and exploration feel of these games.

The Starfield OST is actually made by Inon Zhur, the same composer as Fallout 4. So you are right!

The first thing I did when I opened the game was sit and listen to the music on the starting screen. Boy, is it a good song for a very good game.
We all know when a new Bethesda game drops it comes with banger soundtracks
After 30 hours i can say im hooked i love the lore and it gets more interesting as play more. Finally something to immerse myself into after all these years where devs just shat into unreal engine 5 and tried to sell it as something cool.
The animation going into the menu is beautiful
First time listening to this in the game i was such an incredible experience. Inon Zur really knows how to capture that sense of wonder and vastness into musical form, it's an emotion you can't describe too well in words.
After 60 hours...this game is my goty.

lol goty, the only good game to come out this year so far is armored core 6. Bethesda hasn't made a good game since Morrowind, they've just cultivated an entire fanbase of standard-less slop eaters that will play whatever garbage Bethesda puts in front of them.

I dont care what people say, for me this game is better than Skyrim and on par with Oblivion. I absolutely love it.
Sometimes people are blinded by nostalgia, I'm sure that when TES Vl comes out they will say that Starfield was better

Why bethesda robs you from this music in NG+ is just beyond me...
There is a sense of Irony that those who claim that "Starfield is just the same as Fallout 4 cuz muh enginge" and that Starfield's (and Bethesda's) design is "outdated" are probably the same people who will praise FromSoftware's titles never mind the fact that the recent FromSoftwares games is basically just the exact same games with the same Gameplay etc with maybe the slight difference is the enchanced Graphics (and even then the bosses still look the same from Dark Souls and same goes for some of the artstyle).
the difference is that from software's games are masterpieces, bethesda's have always been bad, people are already realizing how mediocre skyrim is

The outer worlds menu theme keeps playing in my head too. Both songs sound very similar but that's not a bad thing. Outer worlds had an incredible ost and so does this game!

I have been having an absolute blast with this game, such a master piece, a lot of it is very memorable and the music is just epic, another Bethesda banger.
If anyone is on the fence of getting it, do yourself a favor and try it for yourself

The theme is a triumph, but I really wish it built for even longer, soaring to a bigger dramatic conclusion... the brilliant thing about it is how the 2 main phrases play off one another... you get the feeling it could build forever, endless like the universe.

For years now, I wanted this game to come out and be as bad as everyone expected. Still using an old engine, full of bugs, cyberpunk 2.0. That's what I expected. I told people "it can only be bad when it comes out". Then I got it and played it and I haven't been in love with a game this much since The Witcher 3.
I know it's not perfect and there are a million things to complain about. But starfield has something that I needed. Ever since I was a kid, I watched Star Trek and Stargate and I would be filled with this childlike wonder about the world. This wondrous feeling realizing you're so small and there's so much to see. It made me into a curious person, a scientist, a scholar.
But the more I learned about the world, the more I learned that things aren't possible. Things like teleportation or faster than light travel. We'll never have that because it can't be done. We will never see more of the galaxy than we can catch through our telescopes. We can never really go out there. So my sense of wonder and my need for exploration slowly died.
Until this game came out. Starfield has that je-ne-sais-quoi, that spirit of curiosity and science and exploration in its narrative. It seems purpose built to excite people about curiosity again. And that's exactly what it did with me. It pulled me out of my jaded hole and made me curious and optimistic again.
It even uses this visual style inspired by NASA, THE organization in our world that represents human curiosity and ambition, pushing the limits of what's possible. In my very biased and unique opinion, starfield is a masterpiece despite all of its flaws.
The title screen gives me huge Halo 4 vibes. Very similar instruments (at least in the beginning) and vibe. Cold, unknown background. Also, the thin system-looking text.

We are gathered here, to mourn the loss of our beloved AAA Studio, Bethesda Game Studios. In their time of great prime, they brought to us a masterpiece, sold like hell and was overall loved by fans (more or less). I am of course talking about Skyrim and not *THIS MOTHERF%$&ING PIECE OF PLANET WALKING SIMULATOR*... Sorry, where were we?

If only the game was even close to the soundtrack epicness, i would cry. But for me it is the wrost betrayl that company gave to me since i ever remebered. It's so frustrating knowing it's litterally a game about space exploration and the only thing it fails is litterally that aspect.
This theme reminds me of Destiny 1 just as much as Fallout, and not just because it’s space themed

I'm sorry, but this has nothing on Jeremy Soule's soundtracks for TES games. This just feels quite generic, and...hollywood-ish. It meanders aimlessly, and doesn't say anything to me. Now, go listen to Oblivion's theme. Or Auriel's Ascension, or Watchman's Ease. It instantly takes you to a time and place. And it instantly makes you feel like great adventure is coming. World full of mysteries and beauty is in front of you. Truly magical. I just never lost myself in a moment due to soundtrack in Starfield. It's there, it does the job. But it's an audible canvas. Instead, Soule's music was the master stroke. Be truthful - how many times you caught yourself playing Skyrim, just exploring the wilds at night and then Kyne's Peace starts playing. You look up into the sky and all you see is this eternally deep gorgeous starry expanse. With northern lights lighting up entire field of view. And in that moment you are truly transported inside a fairy tale. You become part of it. You can almost feel chilling winds of Skyrim on your face. And you absolutely forget about everything you don't like about that game. Combat, weak dialogues, main story, balance. None of that matters. Because those magical moments of just appreciating the world are totally worth playing. And music is the catalyst. Your guide into fantasy. I have not had a single moment like that in Starfield. The magic is just not there. The music isn't the same.

Started Starfield couple days ago and the first thought in the menu: "Outer Worlds!". This game is like F4 and OW offspring. Gonna love it ;)
Fallout 4 is my favorite game so far. This has potential to be a fallout killer for me. 50 hours in but i'm worried there won't be as much to do end game. Like in fallout i kept building settlements and with Sim Settlements there was no end at all. Played it on release. Played it last week. I do hope they will add additional content in the near future. Would be a waste if they went the red dead online route and don't add anything to it. Looking foreward to the DLC's and the day that mods allow more than 8 active crewmembers. I made a huge freighter but it seems empty and lifeless when i don't have passengers on board
The only thing that bothers me is when you boot the game up its out of sync, or at least i think it is.
So i think the piano key at 0:11 is supposed to be in time with the light eclipsing round the planet at 0:15.
If you load a save and then back out to the main menu, it is actually in time perfectly but the majority of people rarely will if ever.
Say what you will about this game, it EARNED the reward for sound design
