You can enjoy Monaco without being rich. That is the real kicker. When I was starting out, many, many moons ago, as a teenage mom and then RN, I decided the chances of me being rich and traveling the world were not great, but I could choose to live in one of those fabulous playgrounds by the water full time, and so I did. I have been to Monaco on a modest tourist bus. Nevertheless we rubbed shoulders with the rich and famous just by walking around or enjoying a drink in one of the bars, or eating at a restaurant. It was an incredible experience. I absolutely loved it. The highlight was watching the fireworks bursting over the bay while fabulous music was playing. Just magical.
Wouldn’t want to go there, if I got a million payed on top. Such an empty place, full of cranes and heavy motors of yachts, big cars, helicopters, yuch, BRRRRRRR. I’ll go to an Italian Umbrian village many times over… peace, neighbourship, little shops, friendship and most of all; peace and quiet!
in these kind of place…there has to be servers and the people they serve. without the servers, the place will not be beautiful ..someone has to clean, maintain the house and garden..cook and serve food and drinks, make the bed etc. The ones who get served has to compensate the servers so they can make a living. But this place will not be a playground without the maids, helpers, waiters and servers
Wisdom will tell you how to use your wealth...and this is surely not the way of the wise. Nothingbis wrong wt being rich, but it is what you do with it in your life journey. God made certain ppl wealthy in the bible but they didn't live haughty or excessive....they blessed their family their workers. Its a ticklish thing
Two things which are extremely important in Monaco, no Riff Raff a, especially anti fur scum, and those in hospitality must be trained to a excellent standard especially the stewards who are privileged to serve the beautiful people on their magnificent yachts who expect no less then 7 star treatment 24/7.
What is wrong is your mindset. People are not equals. They have different physical characteristics, they have different mind characteristics, they have different parentage, different schooling, some work hard and some are lazy. Some are going to rise up and some are going to fall down. This will never change and it’s not wrong to be one that rises up it’s just an inevitability. Wealthy people usually put their money to work in private enterprise which produces products and services that people want and creates jobs for everyone else. All of the money paid in taxes is generated by private enterprise. When people engage in private enterprise they learn the financial machinations of life which enables them to expand and keep their wealth. This is not wrong or greed it’s just inevitable.

As far as I can tell, what "put Monaco on the map" was the race, which has been going on since the 1920s. Before then it was apparently just a sleepy fishing village in the Mediterranean. Monaco was already "a thing" (again, mostly because of the Grand Prix) by the time Grace Kelly married the Prince.
@@seltexmx and the casino only became succesfull after monaco gave france around 80% of their land and in return france connected them to europes railway system, only then the casino started being profitable
We once drove through Monaco, to see how it was, but it lacked any kind of atmosphere or cultural heritage. So much more beautiful places along the Cote d'Azur and towards Cinque Terre in Italy. Monaco is just to see and to be seen.. 😘
This kind of wealth is beyond my comprehension. Monaco is an example of outrageously excellent marketing. The kind that makes rich people lose their minds if they can't be part of the buzz. It's fun watching this kind of crazy-mad-wealth playing out on screen. Big children playing out their fantasies in an expensive sand box. 😅😂
A long time ago. It was 1967. I went there to stay with my grandmother. The casino was closed. There was no obvious sign of rich, famous people. It was just a small town overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Perhaps the wealthy people were away, though, because it was very hot and humid.
What really "put Monaco on the map" was the race. That has been going on since the 1920s. Everything else followed, and for the most time it was a sleepy fishing village otherwise. That whole thing of the uber-rich making permanent residence seems to be a relatively recent thing.
I imagine that in 1967 there were some rich and famous people there ... that was only three years away from 1970 and by then there was a lot going on with the jetsetters . Personally I think I would have loved to have been there in the 1950s , 60s , and 70s before it became the overly crowded , packed in and overly built up monstrosity it has been for a while . It was a beautiful place before and now it looks very SUFFOCATING .
I live close to the Mexico border. I always go *luxdups* , their quality is great. Some of them are made with leather and really hard to tell the difference from real or not. Either way, it’s your choice. No judgement from me
So sad. It was a heavenly little town back in the 50’s and early 60’s when I spent my summers there. Now is is grotesquely overbuilt and filled with trashy celebrities. All the true elegance is long forgotten.
Lovely place if you are seriously materialistic. However, the architecture is very disappointing - lots of very ugly apartment buildings ruin the atmosphere.
@@cheddarsuperstar If you're ever visiting Monaco, it's always great to take a day trip over the border into France and enjoy the small towns of the Riviera - they are a lot more charming.
All this rich people and celebrities who usually preach to us about environmental and social issues and how equal we should be and yet, they don’t mind to spend their money and time far away from ordinary people.
Well said. What do these people do for the good of human kind, most of them, very little indeed. Frankly, its obscene and more than faintly ridiculous.
Those people are all words, but they don’t practice what they preach. Same with some religion believers, they believe but they don’t practice what God teaches them. So they cheat, or steal, or murder etc. Luckily, the majority aren’t like that
That's fine by me because I find absolutely nothing charming or desirable about Monaco at all. Just over the border in France are some far more elegant and beautiful places.
@@vickster4474Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat is truly wonderful - a lot of great places to see but taking the walk along the coast is worth doing. The cactus garden in Èze (Le Jardin Exotique) is spectacular. Am I the only one who thinks that you can tell the difference between a millionaire and a billionaire. It's like when you're a millionaire you have this need to show how rich you are but when your a billionaire you wear plain clothing still expensive but more plain more about the quality rather than the name of it and you seem to be less outlandish with your preferences...Just an observation
Disagree. Billionaires buy $$$$ private jets, most don't fly commercial. Just because someone wears plain clothes doesn't mean they don't live a mansion.
@@hayaglamazonluxeI wonder if you missed the point. I understood that Billionaires may not wear flashy clothes, flashy anything, don’t look outrageously wealthy, but of course they have the best homes etc., but you don’t have your name in huge letters splashed across your jet.

Doesn't matter - they are still participating in spending outrageously just because they don't look wealthy doesn't change the fact that jet costs millions of dollars. But if you can't read between the lines, that is on you.@@MK-cc5ve

I just spent two weeks in Monte Carlo!!! I didn't arrive there via helicopter, however.
Wonderful .........good caption of the place.........
Looks crowded, expensive, dirty. Nothing attractive here. There are much nicer places than this and you don't have to be "wealthy" to enjoy them.
Seems bland when there are way more beautiful places
What Are you talking about? No server, maid, waiter would come there without beeing paid or would clean the places…
I don't know how I feel about this excessive lifestyle. The outrage expectations and entitlement are just wrong.
I’ve meant poor people with unbelievable entitlement! Much much more…!
@@opulence6224 the place actually makes me wanna v*mit …like a mafia gathering supporting some very suspect brands the likes of which also support child abuse. Vulgar and so uninteresting…But hey each to their own.
The great equalizer comes for all of us...
Sure A LOT of haters commenting here. Why is it SOOO bad that people are wealthy ??? Is it simply envy ?? Jealousy ??? SMH How bout just enjoying the scenery and being yourself. Don’t judge others for how they choose to live their lives….geez, manage your own. If anything learn to dream a little. Who wouldn’t enjoy a fabulous dinner w amazing wine, or visiting on an extravagant yacht for a weekend and get’n pampered, etc.
maan unhappy people🙄🙄🙄

People can never have enough. Even the super rich are unhappy when the neighbor has more. It’s a constant hunting for more. It never stops, not for the normal people and not for the rich. Blessed is the content, not the rich!
No es rico el ke más tiene.... Sino el ke se contenta con lo ke tiene , y en ese aspecto me siento rica!!!,,, Me gusta ver lo hermoso exterior, pero hasta ahí, como el ke contempla un hermoso cuadro....!!!
I was just thinking the same.....always hunting for more...more opulent, more glamorous, more expensive.......it sounds soulless.......

It was actually the Casino (1865) that created Monaco as a hot spot. The race came second in 1929. Grace Kelly brought the eyes of the world there.
Which race????

This kind of wealth is beyond my comprehension. Monaco is an example of outrageously excellent marketing. The kind that makes rich people lose their minds if they can't be part of the buzz. It's fun watching this kind of crazy-mad-wealth playing out on screen. Big children playing out their fantasies in an expensive sand box. 😅😂
Great video. A bit old photos of celebrities. These days Monaco & Dubai are the spots for those with money. Class does not matter these days ...

Imagine working there knowing you’re making a few hundred dollars a day and someone spending 15,000 a night
Healed us and forgive our sins maging mayaman SI jellieyeyeman in business kapalit Ng walang sahod sa pagaalaga sa Meron sakit magulang

This obsession with what clothes wealthy people wear is more of reflection of you some billionaires wear Brioni and Chanel some are plain dressed everyone has their vices: wine ,cars, yachts, high fashion, caviar, planes ,art it could be anything rich doesn’t mean they have sense of style but are good at making money.
Doesn't matter - they are still participating in spending outrageously just because they don't look wealthy doesn't change the fact that jet costs millions of dollars. But if you can't read between the lines, that is on you.@@MK-cc5ve
