Thanks for the explanation. You say „you can get better at this kind of security stuff over time.“ …This makes me wonder, can the master ticket be changed ever? Because it gives me a master ticker on a jpg. And if I handle this jpg poorly (i.e. integrate it into my computer backup, store it in my email inbox etc i have _already_ compromised my urbit identities basic security … for ever if the key phrase is unchangable..! So in that sense you have to be careful about security from the very start!

Downloaded desktop app. Drained all ram, would not even open the chat app. Also seeing that there are major security holes, and that the code is not anything like what is advertised. Anyone else having fun with this?
My planet is running but I can't access the Landscape interface
I can`t access my localhost on urbit. Any idea what I can do
I’m getting “key mismatch” whenever I try to boot in Port. Only thing that seems different is that my keyfile seems to be called ~urbit-name-2.key instead of ~urbit-name-1.key. Any help? I note that I downloaded port a while ago, not from the link on bridge-beta… so maybe the old version doesn’t work with L2 ids?
try removing the dash and number from the end of the file name.

downloaded the passport zip. but it only contains the two PNGs and no key. does anyone know what to do? thx (on a Mac)
