In a dramatic exchange of words between attorney Lisa West & Usher Raymond on the issue of drug usage by him and girlfriend Grace Miguel, the singer had to be once again admonished by Judge Bensonetta Tipton-Lane about how to respond to questions.

***** I guess we see another flaw in the court justice system. I believe that a testimony that was delivered as calm, and as direct as Usher did, then it should be uninterrupted. To be honest, I didn't even get to see what Usher was talking about because she interrupted him so abruptly.
She asked him a question, then objected to his answer, SMH. You learn in law school to never ask a question that you don't already know the answer to.

I work in court, and have done for many years. I've seen countless examples of people losing their composure in the witness box.
This was not such an occasion.

She didn’t want him to finish because she could see that he was giving a plausible and reasonable answer. Also, I think she expected him not to answer the question again so she would be able to beat up for the non-answer. She forgot a fundamental attorney rule...NEVER ASK A QUESTION YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE THE ANSWER TO.

The title of this video shows how easily shook people get by the slightest bit of frustration expressed by a black man. He didn't even raise his voice. He said, "I wasn't finished, may I finish please?" What part of that counts as losing his cool???

Whoever started talking should be ashamed. When someone is speaking you just can't interrupt that person, you have to let them finish. Therefore Usher is right.
Usher's composure is commendable. He kept his cool and was adamant about finishing his statement. I don't know why this video is entitled that he loses his cool. I would think losing his cool would be swearing or something! Whenever a Black man stands up for himself and challenges authority "others" always think that he is becoming combative, hostile, or may I say "losing his cool"!

she made the objection because it was hearsay. if a person isnt present to verify what they said, usher cant say what somebody else said in court, even if he did hear it being said. you cant say what somebody else said in court without them being present so that the lawyers cant talk with them, that would be very bad
The objection is actually valid if the attorney is conducting a cross examination. Which basically means you cant testify details which you did not witness first hand, which were disclosed to you via word of mouth. Hence the objection: Heresay

Lawyers need to stop investigating 13th amendment and throwing it out like it's nothing.
He probably was upset even though he held his composure, they really will try and cross you up in court, and wont let you finish what you are trying to explain. I have faced similar situations and when its about your kids, its hard to keep your composure.

I will actually have to disagree with your assesment. The attorney's objection was not valid. She merely objected because she didn't want Usher Raymond's response to her question, entered into the record. The attorney started to the questioning, by asking him why he chose not to give a statement regarding a previous court appearance. By asking him that question; she was allowing 3rd party testimony in as evidence. By objecting; she was invalidating her own question.

Are these type of questions necessary to be asked when anyone's seeking custody of their children? Was the questioning of drug usage encouraged by Tameka in order to make Usher look less favorable? If that's the case, I can see why a lot of people don't like her. How is asking someone if they do drugs or not going to prove whether or not they do them anyways? Why couldn't that attorney have let him finish his explanation?

I get what you're saying, and that can be the case sometimes; but I believe it is because he's a celebrity, not a black man. People LOVE seeing celebrities get upset, and most likely the person who titled this video didn't really think Usher lost his cool, but merely wanted to come up with a more interesting title in order to get more views.
